Sounds like Maaaaa and those tiny *”mmms”* are heart melting. Hope the fawn/the mom find one another soon.

For those who don’t know: mother deer will leave their fawns alone for a few hours or up to a day. They leave their fawns in a spot they feel is safe. So if you find a fawn alone, calling out for their mom, don’t move them, the mother will almost always come back and retrieve her fawn.

Now if you find a fawn with curled ears it's a sign of dehydration and most likely hasn't seen it's mom for a while to nurse but the fawn here looks healthy and should be left alone.

Upside the fawns ears aint curled. Meaning the mom has left the little one alone for abit, deers do this to help their littles feel ok while alone..the parents always leave them at safe spots they know so they always return. The fawn here is just alone for a short while

Please resist the urge. I know that it is tough. I have been up every single night for over a month because the previous owners fed, gave water, and allowed them to bed down and have babies under the deck. Fish and Game have issued a depredation permit, which we only sought after trying every single deterrent possible, including a 20' tall tube man on a motion sensor and tagging problem deer with a paintball gun. They are so, so cute when they are little. Not so much when they are a fully-grown buck, and they will be especially dangerous come rut.

Fawn noises are some of the cutest out there. I loved it when little fella went "wehhh" a few times before he starts to turn around and that had my heart. They sound a lot like human babies sometimes 😊

I just shot it's mom on the head, with a rifle gun, and skinned it just when it was alive. I also cut it before waiting fer it to die. And now I'm cooking it to prepare a feast fer myself and me wife. ... This night should be a great romantic night. Oh the fawn... ?? Ye can have it. I have my wife loving me anyway. And also we have food sufficient enough fer an entire month anyway.

It's in a fenced area so it's been captured for whatever reason.. Fawns routinely left alone by their mothers would very quickly become prey for predators as their calls would attract predators ... so it's not fine at all ...

My dad found a fawn in his garden one time. Crying for mom. Dad left it alone, kept the dogs away, kept an eye on it throughout the day and mom came back that evening for it.
