I am 16 weeks pregnant and just found out there was trisomy 21 found in my blood. I am scared to death, first child at age of 43. But what I DO know is I am going to love this little boy more than I can imagine. ♥️

There's no need to be scared. You have a miracle on the way. He will be a little slow but he will be able to do anything he sets his mind to. I work in group homes with people who have down's syndrome. They are so awesome. Some are nonverbal and some can speak but every one of them strives to do things on their own. They do their own laundry and can tie their shoes and load the dishwasher, etc. You have an amazing adventure in store.

Almost every person I have met with DS have been the most loving, sweet spirited souls that find no fault in humanity. My son has autism and he has been the biggest gift God could have ever blessed my/our lives with. They teach us!!!

My sister in law works with them because 90% end up in special care, group- or nursing homes because they are uncontrollable, violent and need 24/7 care. It is not a blessing.

Your family is going to have an amazing adventure with your little miracle. I work in a group home with developmentally disabled adults and the people with down syndrome are my favorite. They are so kind and full of love. They are capable of so much more than people give them credit for. Babies born with down syndrome are truly a miracle because there's only 6000 born in the US every year.

Hearing momma talk to her girl made me cry it’s just so sweet

What precious, well mannered, and loving little boys you have. So sweet.

I just wanted to say, my son was just born 2 weeks ago. My first child😊 we were given a birth diagnosis of down syndrome and I felt like my world was crashing down. He has blast cells, swollen kidneys, he had really bad jaundice, and a few other things and it felt like everything was thrown at us all at once and my vision of my perfect family slipped away. I won't lie and say I've fully grown okay with the news. It's still hard. Especially knowing the chance of leukemia and still waiting for am echo to know about his heart... the health concerns scare me to death. But I will say, I haven't watched much of your videos yet, but I think they're going to help me. Help me see it's not so bad and scary as my brain thinks. I just wanted to thank you for sharing your story.

She is absolutely adorable! She is so loved by her older brothers, it’s incredible how they are totally concerned for her wellbeing! You have a beautiful family!!

I have been following you, but I went back and watched your first video tonight. It is impossible not to smile when I see Eva. She is absolutely adorable! She loves to smile and loves her brothers. The look on her face when your husband speaks German to her is priceless; she is so captivated by his voice. You have a loving family and you are such wonderful parents. Even as a newborn, you can see her happy personality and beautiful spirit. Thank you for sharing this journey with us!

I try to never tell folks how to feel or not feel but I can not see how anyone could not love this tiny bundle

T Mitchell Hi! So sweet of you to check-in. We ended up switching providers and learned that baby only had one hole in his heart! Our baby boy Rocco was born on 7/19/20 a month early. We stayed in the NICU for 5 weeks but he is home now and doing well. Our next journey will be heart surgery to repair his VSD.

To: This extra Gift, Even tho u have ur hands full with 3 beaitiful perfect lil ones it amazes me u stll found time to reach out to someone who is in need of some reassurance of whats to come. In this world there isnt much compassion lately. It fills my heart with joy to see everyone once in awhile u find someone who is willing to help out another human being. Beautiful video❤️ I am currently 18 weeks pregnant with twins but just received the fish test results that 1 of the baby girls has DS. I’ve been trying to come to terms with it all but now they’re saying they see a heart defect... did she have any signs during ultrasounds ? I’m so scared for what the future may hold for her.

naja ich kann da schon die typischen Merkmale Down Syndrom erkennen- selbst in der Familie sowas miterlebt und nicht immer ach so liebevoll- äußerlich eben die runden Augen, Zunge raus schon beim Baby erkennbar- Mondgesicht und ganz ehrlich erwähnt -Genug Beispiele vor Augen- gerade ,süß geht anders und heute gibt es kaum noch Kinder mit Down Syndrom, weil nicht nur so herzig und alles tutti empfunden wird- Hier wünsche ich das Beste, da ist Familienzusammenhalt und die schaffen das aber Viele entscheiden sich dagegen und das kann ich gut verstehen, das ist hart

Dr Oyalo herbs is really helpful, and have helped my son improve with his speech and social skill complete. My son now responds to name, his aggressive behavior has stoped completely

My baby was born 4 days ago at 37 weeks with Down syndrome and right after they took her to the NICU with breathing and eating problems but now she’s breathing and eating on her own they constantly prick her all over she’s still hasn’t received a bath nor foot prints 🙄 I’m just ready for her to be discharged they keep telling me different days she would be able to leave keep saying test results test results for the last couple days I’m starting to get very frustrated because I feel like they are not taking proper care of her and I don’t like the fact where the stuck her with a needle it is now purple and swollen I just want her home

Hey girl! First off congratulations on your precious little one!!! So exciting ❤️ and wow that's a lot to handle right now. I know with Eva they told me because she had Down Syndrome they needed to take her away immediately after birth for testing...I told them I wanted her on my chest after birth for some time before they took her...I stood up for that and they agreed that was fine. They then took her away, and it was a completely different experience than with my first two kids. Always someone coming in the room to poke her, always more tests, always someone bothering us...I'm happy they were checking things otherwise we would of left the hospital before they discovered her heart defect...so I'm thankful for that! But it is definitely HARD! I completely understand how you feel. You just gave birth and it's a lot to be going through. Did you know before that your baby would have Down Syndrome?? My advice to you in these days ahead would be to trust your mommy gut and to stand up for your rights as your child's mother...don't be afraid to ask questions, or to let the drs and nurses know what you want when it comes to your baby. ❤️ I'm hoping and praying that you will be home soon and just enjoy your baby! Thinking of you girl Xoxo

this Baby geets a lot of love and she will have a good live- Min 6.15 a father, who loves his little girl- down syndrom i can sea but this girl has a loving family and this is important

I had a neighbor who didn’t accept her DS well. The little girl was high level but the mother wanted more. She would spank her and one time she asked if the girl would ever be able to drive. I’m a therapist and I had to explain her daughter’s reflexes to her.
