I’m 68 and a big fan of BTS. We’ve watched JungKook grow up. He joined BTS at 13 and BTS debuted when he was 15. He’s 26 now. He’s so talented, but then so are all of BTS. I hope you check them out. The seven members are either currently in the military or are about to join. It’s mandatory that all men serve. But there are plenty (like 400+) songs you can check out in the meantime.

Most people that say they’ve never heard of him, and BTS, once they hear Dynamite or Butter they’re all “ I know this song”😂

They call jungkook the prince of pop now and they aren't wrong this man is breaking records with his album and Army isnso proud of this man.

Congrats to JK. He rocks the world with his phenomenal voice/singer. He slayed it at New York Time Square.❤😊

Jungkook is the main singer in BTS, the biggest group in the world. He just released a solo album before he has to go into the military. IN Korea, it's mandatory to serve in the military. 3 members are already in and him and the other 3 just announced today they will be in soon. They will be back as a group by the end of 2025.

we hear him sing with out music all the time on his live's streaming millions of us. As Charlie Puth says he has perfect pitch.

that was Jungkook all the backing vocals are also him on his the backing track. The dancing is a homage to MJ. Jungkook is already a global Super Star he's part of the Global Mega group BTS.

The album came out only a couple days before. Though seven and 3d were out earlier but the ARMY is quick😂to learn every word and sing along. Seeing BTS in person was the best concert I’ve ever been too. Jungkook is the youngest member of BTS, joining at 13, at 15 when they debuted …so seeing him here, so amazing solo at 26 is incredible. Jungkook can get 20million Army to watch him sing, eat, even sleep on livestream. One year (I think 2022) Grammys had 8 million viewers. The BTS livestream the group did after the show had 13-14million. Just to put in context how big they are. IMO one of the reason the ARMY loves BTS so much is they are all humble, sweet guys on top of being so talented. One thing I appreciate is the group and each member, they have the backtrack, esp in heavy dancing numbers…but they don’t try to hide when they need it. They sing live and let it supplement ad libs and such. Or in this case, with jack Harlows part…when the feature on the song isn’t there. I don’t know why, but I love that. It feels more authentic 💜

Jungkook is the youngest member of BTS. He was 15 when they debuted and is 26 now. Sadly, he along with the other members are about to complete their mandatory military service(some of the members already started theirs). Though he isn’t fluent in English, he is the only one who did a 100% English album which is very impressive.

ARMY is the name of BTS's fandom. It's actually an acronym for Adorable Representatives MC for Youth (doesn't sound quite as daunting, does it?! 😅). There's about 15 million official members of the fan club plus many many millions more unofficial fans so yeah, they can gather a crowd real quick. 😁 We consist of literally all ages 1-99, races, genders, nationalities, faiths,.....and we welcome anyone willing to embrace these seven amazing young Korean men and their message of love, respect and inclusivity. They're all incredibly talented, totally down to earth and the funniest crackheads you'll ever come across. They do all kinds of music from battle style rap to R 'n' B and a lot of it is based on mental health, socioeconomic issues and other serious subjects. I liked the naturalness of your response. Jungkook is the main singer of the 7 person global group BTS (ARMY is the name of the fandom). He paid homage to MJ in this performance and the music samples several artist tracks, which is intentional. His album Golden was released Nov 3rd. South Korean men need to serve in the military, so all the BTS members have been taking this time to do solo projects. Currently 3 have enlisted. Sorry we can't see your face. And the rest of the members started enlistment yesterday. 😢 But at least we get Jin back as the first one on June 12th 2024. I can't wait to see how the oldest members will be "holding down the fort" until the reunion in 2025. 🤩

He sent out a message 30 minutes before the concert that he was going to do a pop up concert and that crowd formed in just 30 minutes.

BTS hasn't disbanded they all have to do their military service so this year they all have done their solo work before military service. They'll be back together in 2025 around about June of 2025. They've prepared a lot of things for us while they'll be doing their military service. They plan ahead 2 year's ahead. They've already signed their 3rd contact ahead of time so they are all ready for 2025 being back together.

*Everything you hear on those tracks except the rap features is Jung Kook. He always (as does all of BTS) sings live. The backing track is there for support during dance numbers, as you saw. Also, JK likes his runs and ad-libs, lol. *Yes, ARMY is the fandom. We're. . .large and loud. And very loyal. *There was about a couple hours notice on that Times Square performance. Jung Kook had literally released his album SIX days prior. He drew that crowd on that short notice, and they knew all the words. (And here's the kicker: it would be the same response for any other member of BTS who did that as well.) *BTS is still very much together, just on hiatus while the members release solo projects and serve their mandatory Korean military service. *I also can't believe the Arsenio Hall "woof woof" is still around. . .🤣 Welcome to the BTS rabbit hole, friend. Even if you don't like everything (give it time), you will like something. They just celebrated their 10th anniversary since they debuted. The journey is never-ending, but priceless. Bon Voyage!

yeah, you're going to hear BTS members addressing ARMY almost everywhere they are. BTS and ARMY have a special bond which is rare for an artist-fan relationship.. it's like you can't say BTS without saying ARMY and you can't say ARMY without saying BTS, it's THAT tight.

In December he will be enlisting into the South Korean military for at least 18 months. The fan base ARMY as estimated at 90 million and most are OT7. We are so proud of our Kookie. 💜💜💜 BTS will reunite in 2025 and it will be epic. They just signed another 7 year contract with their label. All 7 members can not live without each other. They have been together since 2010/2011 and have lived together until early 2022. They are true brothers.

He’s dance with another band mate, Jimin, to Black and White in the past. The Jackson family has expressed their appreciation for the MJ love to the group in the past. It’s also all over their song Dynamite. And having first been a fan of MJ when ABC came out I heard the Bass and Drums similarity as well but it was JK. And there was officially only 30 minutes notice of this show

JK loves MJ, early on in his career he was learning lots of dances to songs like Black and White..it’s definitely how he continued to fall in love with dance and music. BTS members have been very clear they understand and appreciate where the music they love and perform comes from and have a lot of respects for the greats, from Nas to Sarah Vaughan to MJ (based on the members’ musical tastes).

There was a message on 2-3 hours before the performance that there is a possibly that Jungkook might perform on time square. So the fandom ARMY went there to support him even though there was no confirmation if he was really going to perform. So 30 minutes before the performance ARMY was already gathered in front of time square. Oh how I wish I was there to watch him. ARMY Was told that there was going to be a surprise the next day in New York City and that was all they said. I was looking at Twitter and people were saying I’m getting in my car now to drive to NYC! Then I looked at a satellite livestream of Times Square and people weed gathering because someone said early in the day that they were cleaning that stage. No one knew what it or when or where it would be but ARMY showed up for JK! I think that’s so awesome!

His album is called GOLDEN, it’s breaking records all around. He has the fastest song to reach 1B streams and fastest album in kpop to reach 2B streams. He has fans by the millions through out the world. He gathered that crowd 30 minutes before he performed when it was announced

We brought it back when AgustD another member of BTS went on tour earlier this year. He was stunned.

Jungkook was addressing ARMY eg the fandom which is millions and millions worldwide and yes he has a solo album out called Golden of which one song has already been certified at Platinium in the USA and as Silver in the UK. ARMY started barking for his band Mate Rapper and Producer Suga(aka Agust D) when he did his solo sell out tour of the USA before going off to do his military duty. Jungkook has and the rest of BTS today announced their now off to start their military service and will all be back together as previously promised in 2025 about June time.

Tq for the reaction 👍☺. Jungkook or JK has always been fun to watch same goes with BTS. He likes doing odd hours live session on weverse with fans where he sings, cooking, washing dishes, folding clothes or even sleeping😅. Very random thing tbh 😅😂. So singing acapella is like daily thing to him. Performer?...yes, definitely. He's been doing it for the past 10 years with BTS. I got into BTS because of my 3 teenage daughters. All my life, even if I'm a fan of a song, I never care to know the singers. I know the names definitely but the rest of it, I don't care. I was forced by my girls to learn about each members of BTS;how they look, how they sound. If you must know, kpop have a lot of materials for the fans unlike the western artists. For the song standing next to you got 2 official mvs. One for story line and the other one for choreography version. On top of that, there's also choreography/dance practice video without costumes and camera works. They also release behind the scene videos on the mv making or even the recording session. Not to mention all the live performances like this one. To add, they have their own variety show where they play games. BTS got more than 100 episodes on that and also vacation videos. So it is really fun to watch. Sadly JK and the other members have to serve in the military for 18 months probably starting next months. The eldest member, Jin expected to complete his service in June 2024 since he join Dec last year and j-hope will complete his in Oct 2024. The boys promised to return all in 2025 and hope everything goes well for them and for army😅😂.

Yes, Pentatonix did a mash-up of "Butter" and "Dynamite", which are BTS's two of their three fully-English songs. The rest of their discography are mainly in Korean, and some in Japanese. I think there are many similarities between PTX and BTS. First of all, the members of both bands have done solo work alongside their group music. They're both like family, have no ego, and are happy to let each other shine. PTX's label dropped them early on while BTS's label was a very small label in Korea, so they both had to build their fanbases themselves, through posting content on YT and other SM platforms, and so are very close to their fanbases (though in different ways due to different cultures). And their fanbases are similarly very diverse, encompassing all ages, races, nationalities. I'm happy to read in your description that you're falling down the BTS rabbit hole! Welcome to boraland.

He is a member of the group BTS an awesome group. They performed at the Grammy's last year Most song are their Korean language mixed with english. But easy to follow with cc on. 3 rappers and 4 vocalist. Check out Run dance practice, ON kinetic manifesto, mic drop ,dynamite also check out documentary of guide of 7 members of bangtan by Taylor Mari very interesting. They are doing solo performances now because in Korea it is mandatory that all male 28 to 30 years old do military duty so three of them are in the military now Jungkook is the youngest member and will be going in soon. They will all be back in 2025.

All males I think 18-28 have to enlist by the age of 28 but BTS got an exemption till they are 30.

Please dont change is a song for Army although he didn't write any of the english songs on Golden. Its incredible how quickly he recorded his album knowing he was leaving for the military, it was a gift for us because he knew wed been waiting for him to release his own album. We're so spoiled.

Fellow Debut Night Era Pentaholic here. Let me just say I 1st heard of BTS back in 2019 when my beloved NKOTB gave a shout-out in a song but I had a bad taste left in my mouth from Kpop in the 90s & there is only one Jpop group I have ever liked & they collabed w/PTX. Anyways, in 2021 while I was waiting for the PTX: The Lucky Ones to drop & needed something new to fill the gap btwn NKOTB & PTX drops so I said F*** it lets see why my NKOTB loves BTS so much. That was Feb 03, 2021. I googled them found the yt video of their full debut stage. By Feb 10th, 2021 I found the live performance of BTS We On in Hong Kong & the member Namjoon (formerly known as Rap Monster but now goes by RM for Real Me) snatched my soul with his stage presence w/the same power that the Aha! live at Star Vista Mitch Slap has. Fast forward to today & I have seen BTS live in concert twice, been to several theater viewing, been up at all ungodly hours to watch livestreamed concerts or impromptu livestreams from the members, learned to be comfortable with my most authentic self, & went from being house bound due to mental health for over 5 yrs to know having traveled for a show & now having a group of local ARMY besties that I actually spend time with outside of my home. I can nvr say this enough; NKOTB saved my live & BTS saved my quality of life.

Late to your reaction. Just letting you know BTS honored/paid tribute to MJ in their song Dynamite and this Standing Next to You by Jungkook is a nod too. MJ’s nephew really appreciate BTS’ respect to MJ and became a fan. BTS and Janet Jackson have met before behind the scenes. In fact, BTS introduced Janet at a big music award show in Asia. Anyways, most if not all artists/performers around the world including here in the U.S. of course are inspired by MJ in some way like you said :) I was into MJ and Janet back in the day! Anyway, I love JK and BTS, they always give credit/props and don’t hide who they may get inspiration from unlike some other artists in the music industry.

Army is the fandom. All the boys will be in the military for a while. Three bandmates have already started their mandatory military service, and the remaining four, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook will be starting later this month. They have to serve for 18 months. Obviously the guys are hoping their ARMY will be waiting for them to come back in 2025. While the band was incomplete the boys have been working on personal projects, hence this album. All 7 guys are world class performers and musicians.

ARMY wasn't shouting "WHOOT WHOOT WHOOT" like on Arsenio Hall. (I loved that he has always been so cool to my beloved NKOTB & I love when he gave RuPaul a whole night.) ARMY were actually Barking at JK & he barked back. We started doing that here in the US during one of his fellow bandmates' solo shows. One of the other members of BTS, Yoongi aka Suga aka Agust D, is affectionately known as "Our Lil Meow Meow" cuz he is basically a human cat. ARMY thought it would be entertaining if during Yoongi's solo shows we barked at our cat. (FYI: BTS are known be the Kings of Crackhead Culture or Kings of Chaos but in the best ways)

The have 6 nr 1 songs at Billboard 100 and &nr 1 Albums at Billboard 200 and are tied whid Beatles for that, the also have 12 Billboard awards. Hey! idk if u know this but he is about to enlist in the military on Dec 12th for 18 months with other 3 of his bandmates. The 3 eldest members hv already enlisted. Its mandatory military service every South Korean male has to fulfill. Thats exactly why he said ARMY PLEASE DONT CHANGE coz BTS as a group will be back in June 2025. Jin will return in 6 months and Jhope in 10 months to carry out their solo activities and Suga with the rest 4 enlisting next week. GOLDEN is his debut album which is extremely unique with his breathy vocals. He has perfect pitch and is extremely stable and sound while singing live. He also has an autotune voice coz he can sing like anybody n everybody with hitting any kinda note with perfection. You can call him JK as well.

I'm a fellow Pentaholic. I got to see them live in Sugarland, TX Christmas week, 2021. PTX and BTS are my favorite groups. I hope you will check out more Jung Kook, BTS and the other members. This was a tribute to MJ, one of JK's biggest influences. Actually, all of his other lives from this album are better vocals than this one. Not that this one is bad, but his live at iHeart with a live band, Jimmy Kimmel live, Audacy and MCountdown are all better vocally. Other than Dynamite and Butter, there are some other songs where you may have heard him, but didn't know it was him. He sang the FIFA World Cup song, *"Dreamers"* . He is also the first singer on *"Savage Love"* (the one that went to number 1 on Billboard with Jason Derulo). He also is the first singer on *"Bad Decisions"* with Snoop Dog, and he is the 2nd singer, right after Chris Martin from Cold Play on "My Universe" (another number 1 song). LOVE your realness. Wish the sound was better, but also enjoyed just hearing JK. LOL. And even though his songs on this album are all English, he doesn't speak English. He joined BTS at 13 and they debuted when he was 15 so he is definitely a performer and loves when he gets to be live with ARMY (their fans, yep)! Whether in BTS or solos, they are all so versatile and encompass multiple genres... though JK is the most pop. He goes live from his living room a lot and does karaoke for us. :) Enjoy your journey. ALL the members are great, the doing always solos but this year the did separate albums before going to the military services but to promeses to ARMY, comback in 2025 to continue with BTS

Armys learn korean to be able to sing there Korean songs. Bts is big in all over the world, the performed at grammy 2022, check it out, the have been nominated 5 times, but the are not english or american, so grammy dont let theme win

at first ARMY started barking at Suga concerts. If I'm not mistaken, the barking at concerts came from the fact that at sporting events and at hip-hop concerts (I think), fans barked, and since Suga loves basketball and is a rapper, the barking came naturally. And now ARMY is barking at live shows of all members. But! I think that barking is now present at all K-pop concerts of various artists (and ARMY wasn't the first to do this), at least those concerts that take place in the US, and I heard that it was also present at Harry Styles' concert.
