Strange that they didn't implement a pretty standard protocol for operation while charging-to operate using power from the cable, not battery, and route any extra power to the battery. This effectively makes the battery not discharge and just charge slower.

By using a 120W USB-C Power Delivery capable charger, it will intelligently charge while plugged in. What I said was, if you can charge the battery first, to 100%, it will ALWAYS be a good idea for maximum battery longevity.

What kind of external batteries or power bank can be use for continued lightening use?

A DC charger like the one that comes with the Zhyiun F100 light or a power bank that supports USB-C with PD (power delivery) and that is much bigger than the internal battery otherwise there’s no purpose

@@RiaSha before I do that, I just want to make sure that you are aware that when the m40 is plugged in, it will NOT give you the full 40watts. @@ArtVideoProductions exactly! Depending on where I'm at im almost certain I would have to do atleast 1hour and a half full brightness, only thing I can think of is attaching a power bank to these but ...geesh more stuff to charge and pack
