    Hi Art Video Productions. I have to buy a stabilizer for the bmpcc 6k to use with the Tokina Cinema 16-28 zoom and the Tokina Cinema 50-135. I'm undecided between Zhiyun 3S Pro and Zhiyun Crane 4. Which one do you recommend? Thank you very much.

    @ArtVideoProductions10 күн бұрын

    Hi, I don’t have a Crane 3S to compare. The Crane 4 as you know is the newest. For my needs, the Crane 4 does waft I need / want and should have no problem handling your Blackmagic Pocet Cinema Camera which is only 1” wider than my Canon R3. The BMPCC is only 300 grams heavier. In the U.S. as long as you buy the gimbal from stores like BH, you can always exchange. Another thing you can do is ask my KZreadr friend SE Park on his channel. He might have the Crane 3S and would be able to respond better.

I've commented in other videos (possibly with my other account) so you already know how much I rate your videos, but I wanted to add this: For me now, and I'm sure for others, you've become a "trusted reviewer" which means that when I'm looking for a review of a product and I see you have done one, then THAT is the video I will be watching, because I know I will get all the information I could want, with zero wasted time. I am confident that as you continue to make your videos, this will become true for more and more people. I haven’t seen that review but it’s clear something isn’t right. Even if you just need 100 or 200 watts, get the 500, or at least the 300. Sooner or later you’ll need that power.

    Great, detailed review! I'm curious about the mono/stereo mode IF you're also using the RX microphone. With 1 transmitter and the receiver in mono/stereo, and with 2 transmitters and the receiver in mono/stereo. In Mono mode I think both transmitters are recorded on both tracks, but the RX mic is over the other 2 or the transmitters are recorded on one track (let's say right channel) and the RX on the other track (let's say left channel). I'm curious about these because if the camera man talk behind the camera, might be good to have it on a separate track and remove it in post if necessary.

I breathe a sigh of relief having spent a considerable time looking for exactly this information and demonstration, authentic, detailed, comprehensive and genuinely entertaining is the cherry on the cake. Sorry, when I finally find what I am looking for I have to impart my delight to the author of the work. I just returned a Tilta Float, I don't use a gimbal as such, I run the Ronin 4D. The float may be the best thing since sliced bread, but for me it was stupidly small, only a lunatic or the desperate would have tried to make it work. I await a DIGITALFOTO Thanos ProC3II for the 4D. The 4D is heavey and I am tubby and old. I know what I have ordered is different, but similar enough for your film to inspire hope that it will work. • @ArtVideoProductions
    @ArtVideoProductionsАй бұрын

    The 500 watt would be the best. And I mentioned it in the video. If your 1K budget allows, make sure the 500 watt is in it. You’ll never know when you need that extra f stop. Even if I am doing an interview in a small room, I STILL take 2,000 watts of COB LEDs with me. Guess that? Client decided last minute on site that they want the subject right in front of a 12’ wide bright window. And I have to expose the outside to match the inside. If I didn’t have that much power with me that day, I wouldn’t have done it. Always buy more power than you think you need. And a Softbox or a diffuser frame in front of a light, you lose 70% of its brightness. Example: A 500 watt light diffused will look like a 150 bare bulb.

    The only issue I have with this gimbal is the self calibration which means, the gimbal will try to determine the best motor torque settings. In my case I use a Canon R3 with a 24~105 lens. I found the best settings for the motor is at LOW, even for a load like this. When setting it to auto calibration, It causes the gimbal to vibrate when resting on a surface. When I grab it, it stops. It also stops when I cancel the auto calibration and I choose my own settings. Other than that I love this gimbal.
