Thanks for adding us Newfoundlanders... we often get lumped in with the rest of Canada but at the time of the great war we were not part of Canada at all.

As a yank attended Otago University and the NZ national anthem is as stirring before a rugby match as good as any and better than most. As the t shirt said " I root for NZ and anybody playing Australia." God defend New Zealand.

Happy for you, but you no longer have a navy, air force or army to speak of. Its called complacency. Modern day NZ is dissapointing on that front. Would be nice to give Oz some assistance!!!!

Britain had started the world war in 1914 - tragedy for Britain and british people. Britain like France and Russia - the triple entente was the agressor! Tragedy for Britain and british people that lived in peace in 1914 - even in peace together with the german Kaiser family in London. Germany never had declared war on Britain and Germany even had never mobilized any troops in 1914 to attack Britain. THe whole truth is a disaster for all british people and all british people that followed Britian into a wrong war. THey had payed a high price for the wrong british leadership and they had clearly underestimated that Germany was a well prepared military nation in 1914 that would defend own country whatever the costs maybe.

Britain entered ww1 when germany invaded neutral belgium how does that make britain the reason ww1 started.
