That is almost exactly what I was gonna say, I watched nearly all his games from 1991 until he left the Bulls, and I never saw an athlete take over a game in ANY sport like he did. His drive, and competitive spirit were second to none. The man HATED losing, and would treat practices like game 7 of the Finals, giving team mates black eyes, and shit if he felt like you weren't putting in work. Funny thing is I'm not really a Bulls fan, I'm a NY sport fan, but Jordan is my favorite to watch of all time. Whenever people compare him to Lebron, or a kobe I laugh and shake my head knowing that person never was able to watch Jordan nearly everyday in his NBA career, because if you had, there is no comparison. You need to watch 7 stories that prove he is not a human.

12:35 - the great thing about that move is it was against the Detroit Pistons. At that time the Pistons couldn't beat Jordan (I mean no one could) and the Pistons, known as "The Bad Boys" for their rough and physical style of play, came up with "The Jordan Rules" - basically they decided to hit him as much and as hard as possible when he drove to the basket. In this play, Bill Laimbeer is winding up to deliver a hard hit and Jordan side steps him, avoids the hit and still hits the basket. Love it!

@Rad J Best Complete Basketball player? Jordan was a 10x scoring champ, a 9x first team all-defensive player, 3x Steals leader, and Defensive player of the year. You can't get more complete than that. Magic was more complete than LeBron. A far better passer, can score and rebound at will, was a steals leader, and actually played Center in the Finals and scored 41 in place of injured Kareem. Had he not retired so early, Magic would be #1 in career triple doubles. Comparing the Cavs when Lebron left to when Jordan first left the Bulls is one of the most flawed arguments lebron fans use. When Lebron left, 10 other players including the entire coaching staff left, pretty much starting over from scratch. When Jordan retired, they still had virtually the entire roster and coaching staff that won 3 straight championships. And even then, they got put out in the 2nd round without Jordan.

Michael Jordan has: •3 more rings •3 more final mvps •1 more DPOY •1 more season MVP •9 more scoring titles •3 more steals leader •3 more all defensive team selections •800 more steals •Beat 20 50+ win teams in the playoffs (Lebron only defeated 10). •Jordan never averaged less than 40% Field Goal in the finals Lebron did it twice . •6/6 Finals (never allowed a game 7) •Lebron had much more offensive help, example: Jordan never had a teammate average more than 22 points in the finals.. In fact, Mj is Only player in NBA history to lead a team to the championship with only one teammate averaging double figures in scoring * In the Bulls’ 1997 playoff run, Scottie Pippen averaged 19 points per game on 42% shooting. All other teammates of Jordan averaged under 8 points per game Kyrie averaged over 28 and DWade averaged more than 26. •MJ never ever had a finals meltdown like Lebron in 2011 against the Mavs •MJ had more points in the playoffs in less games.. MJ accomplished all of this in 13 seasons Lebron after his 14th season, was STILL chasing the “ghost (GOAT) that played in Chicago” •Michael Jordan in the playoffs has put up atleast 40ppg, 5rpg, 5apg in 6 different playoff series. Along with an average of about 55% shooting, 3spg and 2bpg. (86 vs bos, 89 vs cavs, 90 vs philly, 92 vs Miami, 93 vs Phoenix, 88 vs cavs) Jordan won every one of those matchups except for the 1986 matchup vs the celtics. •Jordan in 88-89 averaged 32ppg, 8apg, 8rpg, 3spg off 54% shooting. LeBron has never even came close to this stat line. •in 87 thru 92, MJ averaged 5 straight seasons of atleast 51% FG shooting. LeBron has never done this. •the lowest FT% MJ ever shot in a season was 78%. Lebrons highest in a season ever is 78%. •MJ has a higher playoff FG% of 48.7% to Lebrons 48.3% •MJ has a higher playoff player efficiency rating of 28.6 to Lebrons 27.3. •MJ shoots a higher playoff 3 point percentage of 33.2% to Lebrons 32.9% •LeBron James has scored 30 points, 416 times in 1,117 games. Michael Jordan did it 562 times in 1,072 games. Jordan won 6 championships without losing a final in 1,072 games and LeBron in 1,117 games has lost 5 times and has only won 3 times. •MJ also shocked the league by being the first (and only) player to have 100 blocks and 200 steals in the same season, then turned around and did it again the next year.. •Mj also has more career blocks (893) than Lebron James (853) despite playing in 22 LESS career games and being the smaller guy. Also, MJ averaged 1.6 blocks per game in the 1987-88 season which is absolutely bonkers for a 6’6″ shooting guard. Seriously this list can keep going. This isn’t even a debate. Mj is the GOAT. MIchael Jordan: •NBA record 5 playoffs series’ averaging atleast 40ppg •Only player in history to lead league in scoring and win DPOY • Highest scoring average, points per game, in any championship series: 41.0 vs. Phoenix Suns, 1993 NBA Finals •Only rookie in NBA history to lead his team in four statistics (1984-85) •Only player in NBA history to lead the league in scoring, win Most Valuable Player, and Defensive Player of the Year in the same season (1987-88) Only player in history to average at least 30pts 6reb 5assists And 2 steals per game AND HE DID IT 7 TIMES. •Only player in NBA history to win Rookie of the Year (1984-85), Defensive Player of the Year (1987-88), NBA MVP (1987-88, 1990-91, 1991-92, 1995-96, 1997-98), All-Star MVP (1988, 1996, 1998), and Finals MVP (1991, 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997, 1998) •Only player in NBA history to lead the league in scoring and win the NBA championship MORE THAN ONCE in the same season * He did this SIX TIMES!! (1990-91, 1991-92, 1992-93, 1995-96, 1996-97, 1997-98) •One of two players in NBA history to score 3,000 points in a season: 3,041 points scored in 82 games played (37.1 ppg) (1986-87) * Wilt Chamberlain is the only other player to achieve this. •MJ is also the only player in NBA history to score over 40 points at age 40, and he did it twice! •In 1988, MJ earned: Dunk Champ, All Star Game MVP, NBA Scoring Title, League MVP and Defensive Player of the Year. Chilll Um Jordan was better than LeBron at everything, even passing. Look at MJ’s Finals performance against the Lakers. Averaged over 11 assists/game with only 3.4 turnovers. LeBron’s best finals performance in dishing dimes? 10.0/game, while averaging an even 5 turnovers/game. And let’s not forget LeBron, and his bronze medal.

He is the GOAT. There is a reason why people say Jerry Rice/Tom Brady, Wayne Gretzky, Mayweather, etc are the Michael Jordan's of their sports. He set the standard for greatness. You can write out all of his accomplishments and see how impressive he was, but the best way to watch Jordan is to see him play. Clutch, Leadership, competitive, skilled, footwork, hops, defense, steals, he had everything. Most of his highlights have a story behind them. The flue game where he played sick. The 5 3-pointers in a half where the media said that Clyde Drexler is the better three point shooter. The shot where Jordan won against the Cavaliers. The dunk on Matumbo where Matumbo said that Jordan will never dunk on him and he did. Good video to watch is Michael Jordan - Air Jordan (Greatest Jordan Video on KZread)

Watching MJ is watching a masterclass of basketball fundamentals. Jordan had the greatest talent combined with an unwavering work ethic. This man ran a 4.6 40 yard dash his rookie year, came back the next year running a 4.2 - 4.3 Mike had limitless gears. You took your game to the next level and Mike would take his to a level above yours, no matter who he was playing against. He's simply the greatest ever. Almost twenty years since he retired and in a recent poll he is STILL the most popular athlete in the U.S. He's a national treasure. I'm just grateful to have witnessed his career unfold in real time. His games hold a special place in my heart because my dad and I never missed a game on TV, we became very close because of that and I treasure those memories. Watch Kobe (rest in peace) next. If Jordan is 1 then Kobe is 1a. Just slightly below MJ but to me, he's the only guy you can mention in the same breath as Mike and Mike himself acknowledged it.

When he retired he held every major record that can be held by quarterbacks in football (many of those records are now held by other quarterbacks). He wasn't the most gifted, he wasn't the fastest and he wasn't the biggest, but he was my favorite to watch because you never knew what he would do next. I promise he will blow your mind. He was known as the "gunslinger" because he would throw the ball anywhere on the field at any time. He was also the quarterback of my team, the Green Bay Packers, for many years...so I'm completely biased.

Along with his natural talents what people rarely talk about was his incredible work ethic. He used to repeat a move over and over practicing lay ups for instance. For hours. He was the GOAT because he completely had his way with every superstar he went against for nearly his whole career. These were not scrubs, most of these teams had several hall of fame players on their rosters. He is the reason many of those superstars retired without a championship. His defense was legendary. Mike and Scottie would relish at teaming up on the defensive end and shutting down the other teams top players. And he could get you 50 points in a a game AND the game winning shot if you need it. I can't tell you that this is statistically correct, but I watched him personally hit more game winners than miss them. And by a large margin.
