So putting a strap to get it to work would that effect anything else ?

Many times a tap on the relay switch will get the boiler going again, so some service technicians replace the defective Honeywell Aquastat with a new one that cost around $350.00, take the old Aquastat, replace the faulty Aquastat relay switch and resolder a new one on the board, then resell it on Ebay for around $150 bucks, listed as refurbished or used. So when you go off on your rant about replacing an old Aqustat with a new one, just remember you didn't do damn thing about checking that old one before replacing it.

But it makes no sense, as he will make the 150$ in less than 30 minutes. Replacing the relay, selling on eBay and dealing with idiots there will take more time...

@@ochykysh OK, forget Ebay, he takes his repaired aquastat and replaces a customers faulty aquastat with a fixed one, all the while, pretending the fixed one is new and charging full price. If it craps out within a few years, he comes back on a service call, tells the customer he was lucky because it was under warranty and replaces with another of his 'fix' jobs, then tells the customer he's only getting charged for the service call.

Had the same one today, Customer was OK with we putting a tie strap to pull the connector over to work!?!?!

The Aquastat itself, around $350.00, the 10-15 minutes it takes in labor for the swap, $350.00 - $450.00, depending on how much they think they can get away with.

The relay looks like it was cooked left of the transformer. I would change it too when it's intermittent.

2007? That looks like something from the 1950s.
