As an european guy visiting New York is a long time dream. I don't think I could live in such busy, crowded city but I would absolutely love exploring all of it, it seems so interesting.

I’ve lived 63 of my 67 year.,The four years when i lived elsewhere, i was in southern Connecticut, where I went to college. Sy aI could not imagine myself living anywhere else. My friends say that was I born in the middle of the Woody Allan movie. I couldn’t imagine, living anywhere else. It is Part of who i am. I Couldn’t imagine living in any city without the Met, the Guggenheim ,Yankee Stadium, Madison Square Garden Central Park or broadway, name just a few of the things I love about New York City. It is a very special place, that I am happy to call home.

There’s good and bad in NYC like any city. I get tired of money-focused mentality and the bad smells, but the cultural diversity and opportunities here are wonderful.

But NYC has Zero culture. It's a concrete jungle. No beautiful ancient Cathedrals, Theatres, Churches, Libraries, very old Pubs. It has absolutely No Class. It's one huge Rat Race.

It's well known that most New Yorkers move to Jersey or L.I. when it's time to settle down and start a family. The only ones who stay are those that can afford a 7 figure 2-bedroom apartment.

I was raised in NYC. I'm so grateful for it. I could hop a bus to the Upper West Side and be at the History Museum, get a NY slice, or a hot dog, and walk across Central Park to the East Side. Along the way, I'd see dancers, and artists, and come across all sorts of life. On the East side, there's the Museum of Modern Art, Guggenheim, or maybe another art show. By 6 pm, I was home for curfew. 😂😂 NYC is a GREAT place for a kid to grow up! I ❤ NY. Pin that.

It was wonderful growing up in the 50's just across the Hudson and experiencing NYC especially with the trips to tour and shop and learn history from my grandfather who was NYC born. And my father would take me to do a delicatessen run for wonderful foods. Now an elder far from any decent metropolitan city, I still watch videos and at home do my best to make deli delight meals from what I can make or gather.

I remember seeing this on TV a long time ago. I can’t remember exactly when and the date is was made isn’t in the description. Nor is the year mentioned in the entire video. Griff said, “This was the city that had to invent Superman and Batman.” That is WRONG Griff Rhys Jones! Batman lives in GOTHAM City! As everyone should know.

90% of America are rural. Their closest neighbor is a cow, and their best friend is a TV spewing propaganda tailored just for them. Sorry, but it's our nightmare. In the technology age of the 21st century it's created an uninformed, ill-tempered, self-righteous, insulated, isolated mob. 10% exist in cities, and 0.5% in Manhattan. I'm happy for you to wake up and hear nothing. Be happy for others who love to wake up to the buzzing life of the city. For those who thrive on being able to experience the United Nations in one city block.
