Anyone that calls the officers boss which in this case is the chief means these two are buddies and she’s calling in a favor. There’s going to be a coverup coming,or maybe just a few days off with pay and a vacation. She’s too arrogant and entitled to quit,plus it sounds like the ticket is going away as she told the officer she would be handling this report herself.

The only place that her bad day had in this situation, was that it gave her enough stress that her mask came off. This type of entitlement doesn't happen in one day. It is engrained. Whatever criteria she feels allows her to be treated with exception, is the same criteria she will use in deciding to either prosecute or not prosecute others. In other words, someone who works at McDonald's will probably be treated differently than someone who meets her criteria for special treatment.
