I'm UK born and raised of Jamaican heritage now living in the Netherlands. It was great seeing a Roots Reggae Sound System playing! If my parents had decided to leave Jamaica for America instead of the UK, I'm 100% certain this would have been the area I would have grown up in. Why? Because most of my cousins who are American born live in Brooklyn. Coincidentally, I live near a Dutch town called Breukelen. Apparently this was the original name for Brooklyn before the English bought New York from the Dutch - so in a way I feel very connected to Brooklyn, New York even though I am thousands of miles away from it.
