Yeah it was so super cold!
Hearing someone say “significant amount of snow” and picking up barely a handful is just too funny. You’ve got to come to the Twin Cities area in winter. Or more north. Our blast of cold was very extreme. My water froze 3 times in my house. My car barely started. I’m considering wearing sandals when the temp goes up to 44 on Sunday. 🤣🤣

i have benn using the past HOUR watching snow videos *I LOVE SNOW*
I love snow squalls, when I lived in New Hampshire they were quite common and even worse than the one you documented. So interesting how it can go from sunny and calm to raging blizzard conditions in 5 minutes and then return back to sunny and calm a half hour or hour later. Sadly, where I live in California we don't even get snow.
if it gets toooo cold it can't snow...and you need mittens and a scarf! One of the characteristics of a squall is that it comes up FAST and there is usually wind...but if you think that is a significant blanket of snow....that is called a dusting!!!

It's significant for a squall. Since they come through so fast but they are still able to drop accumulation

That same snow squall also hit us here in MD earlier that afternoon. I was almost knocked down by the winds from that squall. Thankfully school closed that day because there was another snowstorm that struck us the day before...
I knew it!!!!! He’s from somewhere where it doesn’t snow. That’s why he’s so excited about a little snow, in his case, all that snow. He was having fun. Let him be. 🤪😳🙀🥳😎. At our job in New London County, CT everyone’s cell phone was receiving alerts, checked radar for the area and nothing 😂. Oh, I enjoyed the video thank you.
Thats cool❄❄ thanks for showing the video!!

Excellent video!! OMAHA NEBRASKA here & blizzards are dangerous here in the Midwest.
So beautiful snow
I was safely watching from the window at work. I can’t remember the last time there was a snow squall in NYC. I did drive through one in Buffalo and just like the one in NYC, it comes in fast and it’s over in an hour. Thanks for sharing.

Hi friend, Very kind of you to do this v.t. , you've braved the elements and survived, I've been watching all the videos people are putting on u-tube & ABC NEWS & a few other news channels, I was shocked to see the amount of snow & the freezing temperatures from -10 to -51 . I live in Edinburgh Scotland UK, were not to far behind your our temperatures are only -5 For now but were expecting it to get worse, but really very greatful for doing this video & sharing it with the world, stay safe & warm. USA & CANADA.
Wow great video thanks dude
LOL as a native New Yorker watching you put on all those layers. But I agree with others, definitely need to wear a pair of gloves! Also as a native New Yorker, today was the first time I've ever heard the term "snow squall." Glad you had fun tho!!!

bklyn charm, that is a very common term in Upstate. Right now it is snowing with about 2 to 3 feet of snow on the ground and another 2 to 3 feet expected by tomorrow. Lake effect snow rarely reaches your area. It is below zero at this time. Snow squalls are very common here.
It was snowy and cold here in North West England today but that was fierce. I don't mind the cold so much, I've spent winters in Norway and Canada when I was in the Army. Those squalls can be brutal especially line squalls when you get bands of it coming in. Stay safe brother and try not to wear more than three layers or you'll sweat to much and your core temp will drop off you're out in the cold for too long.
