Wegman's is NYC's Newest Grocery Store and it opened in Manhattan's Astor Place neighborhood. Its main highlight is its extensive selection of prepared foods, which includes everything from ready-to-eat meals to freshly baked goods. There is also a lower level for the traditional grocery store where produce and frozen items can be purchased.

I live in Western New York, where Wegman’s was founded and work at the flagship store. Growing up with access to Wegmans spoils you for other grocery stores for life. 😅 Congrats Astor Place employees, it looks beautiful. Enjoy it, NYC!

glad you enjoyed your time touring the store. i loved my job there and my coworkers and managers.
I learned a lot working for them for 29 years 11 months, 8 different departments in Syracuse, NY. All jobs following that one I was told, "Wegmans trained you very well".

I work at the West Cary Wegmans in Raleigh Durham, NC and worked there for 4 years on may 11 and love 💕 my job there.

I live in NYC and that area was where Kmarts used to be...I guess Kmart went out of business and Wegman's has taken over...wow..I haven't been in this area in years

I wish they had a true sub shop like almost all of their other stores... because I love their meatball subs. Astor Place only has cold subs. Danny's Favorite is good... but I can't do cold all the time.

That's to much traffic and way too many people in there to have a self-serve hot food section.🤮. In my state if you went into a store this crowded you'd think a hurricane was coming, or some kind of emergency forecast, but this is just a normal crowd in NYC. But there's nothing normal about this many civilians living in one location.
