A good song can be interpreted in many ways and I really enjoy watching someone like Barry re working a brilliant composition, even more interesting as a person ages and things take on new views.

I love to see Barry´s expression ( face and body) when he presents us his new song (CD). Yeah the orchestration was fenomenal, fantastic, adored it. Thanks BMO for sharing with us this beautiful video.

I can see what you mean about the memories, Barry. When I first heard “New York City Rhythm”, I was looking forward to starting my career in my hometown (aka, New York City). The energy coming from your rendition of it reflected my own enthusiasm as I started out. Now, this rendition reflects myself looking back on what I‘ve accomplished, and the feeling of wisdom and gratitude that go with it. Thank you, Barry, for being out there. You understand us so well. 🤗

I LIKE that version of New York City Rhythm! I used the original one years ago for exercise but 50 years later this slower version works for me! 😊

The most interesting part for me personally was seeing him listening carefully to the playback, a rare treat to witness him not in full performance mode and in a more relaxed informal way. I was painting whilst listening to one of his albums tonight. His music takes me to a better place. A very VERY clever hard working man is Mr Manilow and I'm chuffed we shared the same moment in time so I can appreciate your work. All the best, Vik

The slower version of New York City Rhythm is as perfect a fit for today as the original was for the 70's. It feels like a more contemplative look at New York. An ode to a city that's had a challenging 40 years. I really like it :)

I meant smug only in the BEST way, I have always loved him from the start and I am 69 yrs and still love the man to bits, maybe your meaning of smug if different to mine. His music, his personality and presence is just amazing and he can still hold his own with all the negative comments he has taken over the years, I would be last person to say anything bad about our Barry! I have seen him in concert many times in England and NO ONE else can do a concert like Barry can.
