See me photograph the Oculus in New York designed by Santiago Calatrava. I include a Photoshop tutorial demonstrating how I created this fine art image.

I really like what you have done to this. I’m definitely learning some good tips from watching your videos. If I may… the image is leaning slightly to the right. Use the central pole in front of the entrance: you can see it’s not vertical.

Fascinating from start to finish. I especially liked the inside detailed shots, with the subtle light, contrast and tones. Next time we cross the Pond, I must try to get there. Thanks for the video, Jay.

Shocked that security gave you a hard time. Happens in my city Melbourne, Australia and when I visited NY I was in a empty grand central station and couldn’t use my tripod but it was ok to set up my tripod in Time Square where there were thousands of pedestrians 🙈

What a great selection of images Jay and the Oculus is one of my key locations to shoot when I get back to NYC. As security are sensitive to using any type of tripod, do you think you would get with using a Platypod plate. On my recent trip to Valencia, I used my tripod for about 90% of all my images and security had no issues with them which made a welcome change compared to other cities I have visited
