Он плохой актёр, да не без усилий своей профессии и хороших писателей его речей, он бы не справился . Самое главное, что он не присваивает заслуги себе, а людям. Это конечно прием для лидерства. Но за таким вдохновляются ради жизни. Украинцы это предки вольных пахарей, земледельцев, с лучшими мелодиями песен, притом пронзительно грустных с чем-то настоящим(латиноамериканские, кельтские напевы конечно тоже)что я слышал, одними из лучших стихов. Всегда трудятся и радуются жизни при этом!

I support Ukraine out of principle: "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” So I do what I can to support Ukraine against the Russian tyrants. I feel some pity for the Russian soldiers because they are dying by the hundreds of thousands for a Putin Lie. But I have no respect for the Russian people because they normally just stick their head in the ground and hear and see nothing. Then when asked about the war, they say "I don't know about the war, I am not political." Everything is Russia is political, so that is a bullshit answer.

I'm Ukrainian, and it was the first time I cried during the President's greeting. When you live in this war, in this abnormal amount of stress every day, you kinda forget what normal life was like. It starts to feel like it never existed. Air alarms, bombings, shelters, wounded soldiers (I work at the hospital), news from the fronts. It's became a routine. And his greeting made me remember that it isn't normal life. That it was a time when I was upset by how messy Witcher series was, not by bombing of maternity hospital. This war is a trauma. So to all Ukrainians: if you feel like you not doing enough, remember, that you're under wery traumatic and horrible circumstances. Amount of stress you going through every day is abnormally big. So don't be too hard on yourself.

Zelensky was struggling to hold back tears. The person is a great leader, with a HUMAN HEART. I also teared up watching his New Year. But what made me really tear up was upon scrolling down his insta page. He lived his life to the fullest, perhaps a good father and husband. May God bless him with a long life!

That's the thing. One can agree or disagree with some of his policies, but he has always had a reputation as a decent human being. From long before getting elected. I knew some uni students from Kyiv who would work part time at Kvartal 95 shows in 2010s (moving decorations and all that). They were paid decently (50-70$ for one concert, which was alot back then) and Zelensky made a point to thank each one of them after every show. The first UA President with a good heart.

Great reaction; the fact that you let it play out without interrupting shows a huge level of respect for the message. I can't compare Zelenskiy to Churchill simply because Zelenskiy has basically redefined the criteria for a great leader. Sure, he makes mistakes, but OMFG he has shown the world what is possible when you are facing disaster. I'm not Ukrainian but he's still my President.

He and his team had been warned about invasion weeks before it happened and he didn't prepare the army, didn't evacuate anyone. This smells like treason. Yes, he stayed, but he feels pretty safe in bunker, also he can leave the country anytime, unlike me. So, definitely not a hero. Sorry, reality is not as nice and simple as it is pictured.

Говорят, что русские, которые смотрели поздравления с Новым Годом от Зеленского, вообще его не поняли. Русские, благодаря правлению Путина, обсалютно лишились эмпатии к другим нациям и другим людям. И они искренне удивляются - за что нас то убивают в Украине, мы же пришли с миром. Мы ничего плохого не делали. Мы пришли их освобождать. А Буча и Мариуполь - это все фейк. Говорят, что в Москве кур доят, а приехали и титек не нашли.))) Русские и не могли понять и принять бред наркомана. Русские с 2013 года, сначала тихо офигели от ваших "мокаляку на гиляку", потом пытались вас дебилов остановить от убийств ваших же граждан, о когда вы настолько оборзели, что ваши официальные лица стали орать по всему миру :" Мы завоюем Россию! Вы же сами нарывались. Польша пережила пять разделов, так как всегда бежала впереди всех паровозов. Ну, вы её переплюнули. Вас просто денацифицируют по самое "не могу "и все. Молодцы!))) Так держать. Продолжайте в том же направлении. Вам же дебилам 9 лет объясняют, что вы идёте на бойню всем стадом. Остановитесь! Но нет. Вы бежите на всех копытах. Что вам на это сказать? Соболезную.

It was my first time crying during the NY greeting. I felt myself back into 24.02. It was scary that day. But the NY night was also scary. I took my champagne and stayed in the corridor because of numerous explosions outside. Russia congratulated us with missiles and drones. Just one hour after this speech you are reacting to. We were celebrating in bomb shelters, corridors and metro stations. We must win 💙💛
