I am approaching three years in January since my husband’s passing. We were married almost 53 yrs. It has been extremely hard to see how my family just goes on with their lives and never calls or comes around. My sister recently sent a text and said come by sometime she would love to see me. Mind you her son lives fairly close to me and she is in our area several times a week, but expects me to come see her. I replied that I rarely was in her area. My new normal includes my daughter and so and their families as well as friends from church but not siblings unless I make the effort. Sad.

That’s heartbreaking after such a long marriage .. there are so many secondary losses that we don’t even think about that make it tougher. I hear you .. it’s sad when relationships change and are distant.. know you’re not alone and sending love 💕 x

Lost mine January 2023. After looking after him for four years on my own. He was 85years and it's my birthday new-year day, I shall be 70 years, I've been on my bed for 8 months.,
