@@ivandinsmore6217 We always used to watch the White Heather club on Friday evenings when I was growing up. Wouldn't watch the BBC nowadays.

A simple time and a lovely moment. I just returned from my homeland of Scotland but my heart will always be there.

This is the greatest rendition of Auld Lang Syne I've ever heard! ..... reminds me of the version used in several films, including "when harry met sally".

One hour to 2018 in Paris, where two Americans are sipping Champagne and wishing all a happy, healthy, prosperous and safe new year. In the early 1960s, my Scots pen-friend from Dumfries sent me a 45 rpm record of Andy Stewart, and I wish I could tell her how much I have appreciated our long-ago correspondence. By far the best version available on KZread! To all my English friends please take note: the pronunciation of AULD not OLD, and the correct singing of 'For auld lang syne' NOT 'for the sake of...' I dont know who started that, but please God stop!! Perhaps a minor point, but notice as well that the songs tells you when to join hands - please don't do it from the beginning!
