@@hood7271 last time I played I just went to the storage area in any of the main cities top right of the UI had a drop down and had a list of all the cities and would show me what I had in each settlement. Unless your faction controls both settlements/territories you can't quickly drag your stuff but at least it showed all my stuff then I just used the quick travel methods to take all I could hold without being encumbered from one to another.

Here's a tip for New World. Unlike some other MMOs, when you attack something another player is attacking, you do not split xp gains. Every person that tags in battle will get full xp from that death, so make sure you tag every NPC you can. Running past another player to loot a crate w/o taking one swipe at the battle is just passing up skill gain.

unlike some other games the fact that new world makes housing useful which could provide buffs I really like that

Unless they changed it, houses also give you another fast travel option with its own cooldown (and i think no azoth cost)

You can also reset the 3-4 hours house travel timer for cheap. I think around 50 azoth. Still cheaper than traveling on azoth on its own

You forgot to mention that going medium/heavy armor increases blocking and duration of CC you apply. There's a benefit to both light and heavy.

You can still use your shield for an extra slot item with stats on it, like a round shield on a med armor axe and spear build is good bc you can get an extra 10 or points of str or dex

as a note, if you buy a house in the city you have your recall set to, you can then change the recall to another settlement and you can recall to both the city and your house with different cooldown timers.

Maybe mention the Attribute threshold for each attribute? Kinda important. Ex. Strength Threshold Bonuses 50: +15% damage to melee weapon light attacks, +10% mining speed 100: +20% damage to melee weapon heavy attacks, +20 encumbrance 150: +50% stamina damage from melee weapon light and heavy attacks, -10% decrease in weight of mined items 200: +20% damage on stunned, slowed, or rooted enemies, +10% mining speed

Get your gathering and hunting/skinning up. Also coooking.

@@Brigand88 It just doesn’t do anything exceptionally well, like the quests are lifeless and boring, the campfire system is silly, the combat is just ok. Idk I feel like the quality that mmos like wow and ffix and guild wars have set the bar too high

As for the storage, you dont necessarily have to remember. you can view every storage remotely

As it's the beta will anything save or will it all be reset when the game launches ? Just wondering 😄 Update: I joined someone stream and asked and it was as I thought you DO NOT keep stuff if anyone was wondering 🙂

It looks like the housing is similar to that in black desert online. If you aren't familiar, multiple people can have the same house but you see your version of the house when you go inside.

The roll would always dodge me too far for my combat style, I wear a shield specifically to up my weight into medium class. This allows me to dodge am attack and then leap straight back in instantly.

Anyone know if weapon passives are always active? Would one weapons passives apply to your second weapon too?

One weapons passive does not apply to your other weapon. But if the weapon on your back has skill bonuses it will apply to your current weapon

You don't have to remember where you stored everything, you can view your storage in anyplace you have stored stuff.

what if I want to hit the ground jumping

The storage weight and unshared bank not a fan of, housing that matters though is intriguing.

Does anyone have tips for leveling crafting? I know I need to craft but I have stuff that I need already crafted and idk how to level it up without crafting unwanted items (I’m new to mmos so helpful knowledge is welcome)

You always have to craft unwanted items or buy them. Like u have to fish to get fish oil to make cooking oil if u want to cook. Or to make leather armor u need linen and iron ingots so you may as well gather the lot of it and get refining lol

@@cripnikka86 Alright, sure, but point is, there is no way to transmogrify a random piece of gear you found in the world to another piece of gear. It's solely tied to the skins in their store.

Question. Is there a simple or sure way to start the game together with friends? I need them to not quit early. So best way for that is to start the game all together in the same spot! If anyone has tips, that would be greatly appreciated.

Some say respawn a new toon untill you get the same, others say do intro missions and meet up at Yonas the Hermit, which is like an hour in, if you only do quests. So probably first idea is better.

The fast travel shrines only let me travel From them, not To them. Bug?

Too bad that siege-fireball shown at 8:00 is not a thing anymore. I was really looking forward to the first game (to my knowledge) where spellcasters could be used as siege weapons like you see in movies, novels and cutscenes. Beta comes around, I pick fire staff and it's nowhere to be found. T_T

you can not fast travel when encumbered. you can however respawn to a location.

Nice tips. I just dont like the fast travel. Azoth payments are way high. (Weights a major factor as well) Some times can charge ya 200+ for one port. B4 lv 40 Id cap azoth all the time. After lv 40 constantly running out. With trade not being world combined that forces a player to travel as well. Wish theyd reduce travel by 1/2. Lastly, its also not worth changing crafting locations due to taxes. Youll spend way to much to move everything to a better taxed city. Might as well stay put. (Just my opinion) TYVM for posting Kay/Nenyak Zugen or bust

hm... Auction houses doesnt shared between places is kinda annoying imo, i wonder if they'll change it in the future. imagine you do questing and stuff, and gotta run/port back to the "most populated" city just to sell your loots.

Salvaging drops does not give materials anymore. It's in patch notes so it's public. You get repair parts and gold now. Materials are crafted only.

@@Brethgar I have tourettes syndrome and one of my tics is to spam various keyboard buttons, jump being one. However, I genuinely found the lack of jumping to be a bit jarring if anything.

Tip 5 is the trap all game have with main and sides, yeah you might level faster but it's all a mish-mosh of blah blah story wise.

There we go with the fuckin weight limit again, like BDO wasn't enough

You can’t fast travel while encumbered

I know this is going to sound cheesy and pointless, but I think an important tip to note would've been "Just enjoy the game, take your time" because right now everyone is all about "Do this, do that" and it can feel rather taxing.

Auction houses and storage not being shared between locations is surely designed to promote fast travel and therefore store purchases. This worries me.

This is the best game in the whole world that’s ever been

The best tip is to not play it if you have an RTX 30XX card, it might fry it...

Why do they do this to players? Weight systems do nothing but piss people off and open up nasty opportunities for convenience items in a cash shop, that's the only reason to implement such an irritating system into a game...

Totally agree Nathan, this crap about IMMERSION LOL. When you have only so many hours on the weekend to play with friends and you are exploring a dungeon. Then encumbrance kicks in and you either drop stuff on the ground or go back to town. Now that is immersion, let's stop exploring to go to town. I hate encumbrance in games.

New world is more sandbox/survival so it definitely isn't going to be what a lot of people are looking for in an mmo. I've known this from the start. In alpha it was mainly survival PVP. The weight system also makes the player driven economy more interesting.

Next time don't put "tip 1; tip2;etc..." Because of that I can't choose the tip I want so I just closed the vídeo. I know you did it so people watch the full video but guess what... Didn't work with me ;)

Tip don't play pay to win games. They make bad game design.

Encumbrance, worst thing to ever happen to a game. It adds nothing to a game IMO. This will probably be the reason I quit the game. I will give the game a try, but encumbrance is a garbage mechanic. I want to explore this dungeon with friends but weight we have to go back to town or just drop stuff on the ground. JOY !!!

New world is not your traditional theme park mmorpg. I'd compare it more to skyrim or eso. It was originally a survival pvp game so its gonna have more of those realistic survival elements

Tip 1) The devs intentionally make the leveling process booring and tedious to sell you xp boosters later. Saw all their logs and coverage, this mmo is a hard pass!

That is just not true ! The levelling is great in this game . You got quests,events,world grind,dungeons and you can level from pvp+crafting jobs . I think its better then most.

actually many players said that the leveling was easy and everybody expected it to get more difficult. now they could actually make it a bit harder so you are intrigued to buy boosts but it doesnt really matter. many said that its awsome that they could take down players 5+ levels above them if they played smarter

Confused why ppl make this such a big deal ... literally WoW sells max lvl,FFxiv (this has boring lvling to a degree that makes you blow your head and you pay to skip months .. ) , BDO is nr 1 cash grab ,ESO has some exp scrolls as well , most games have not even given players a fair start ..
