New Wera Tools Unboxing! Zyklop Pocket Set & Ratcheting T Handle!
Here’s some exciting tools for 2022! Wera has introduced several new items and I was able to get a couple bought and they’re here so lets dig into some first impressions! The Wera pocket zyklop 8009 is an immediate hit with me I think, I’m very happy they made this tool as it’ll eliminate even more items on my smaller bag Loadouts or smaller service call needs as well. The T Handle with a ratchet mechanism I have wanted for years and I’m so glad its finally here, hoping these kind of grindy gears break in better in reverse than first impressions. Thats a bit sub par for an $80 tool for sure, hopefully that is an anomaly. Tool links below. #newweratools #werapocketzyklop #wera8009

That new Zyklop is genius. Just when I thought I wouldn't have to give them more of my money 😊
I got mine and both directions ratchet very smoothly. Maybe you got a lemon

It is a lemon, Wera will refund this.

Nice quality...... best price on the worst junk. Been using a ratcheting t-handle I got 6 or so years ago for $5 at homedepot on fathers day. Stop buying all these tools that are marketed to drive up costs.
that t-handle is a great update to the one from the 2019 advent calendar. and so cool of them to make a 1/4 hex inside the socket holder even it took away the space for the locking ball.
Ya sold me, this is such a great tool
Cool new tools from Wera, Thanks for showing us.
I got both of those in their set form. Not sure why it was acting odd in reverse, but mine is working great. These were tools we needed
Really like to watch and LISTEN to your videos. Thanks for the calm professional content. Tool rebel for life

Thanks for watching!
Just ordered mine from KC tools! Really enjoy your reviews! Thanks for all you do!
opening the knife and cutting the tag, so cool and effortless; imagine how many boxes he has done. just starting to upgrade my tools and this channel is great
not much wera in my kit but the bits and bit ratchet are very well made. that t handle is probably a manufacturing defect. I would return it. The pocket zyklop looks handy, would be good for maintenance techs or people that need light load-outs.
🎉🎉Just let the wife know what I want for my birthday. Sweet bit of kit! Great review as usual my friend. 👍👏👊
This is so freaking cool!!!!
🤙👍🏽appreciate your reviews my guy!
Great videos. I know I will get that Zyklop Pocket Set
❤❤❤❤❤ thanks
Great video! Cheers from another tool nerd and Wera fanboy!
awesome man❤❤❤
That new zyclopes is awesome will definitely be getting one of those. Also when is the xxl update? Ready for that one. 👍🏻👍🏻
Wera , FTW !
This is DEFINITELY a cool video
Wow I never went from 'Oh thats cool and new' to 'Oh I need that' that fast.
The Zylop Pocket Screwdriver is about twice the price I can justify given: 1) I'd have to invest in sets of 3/8th sockets; 2) I already have a Zyklop Mini 1 for compact occasions 3) I already have a Zyklop Speed set (1/4") and I value the locking bit want socket features, and the plastic spinner rings are surprisingly handy. The T-Handle Ratchet interests me, like you, for long hex and torx bits to replace allen keys, so please get to the bottom of the apparent issue with yours. In my workshop I use Bondhus T-Handles so the Wera would be for mobile use

Don't forget that for the price they didn't even include a way to lock anything on and decided to opt into using magnets for a $130 tool >.>
Maybe KCTool can send you out another T - Handle Ratchet ? That Reverse / Left sounded off for sure, and at $70 that should not be that way, unless it's a bad or Faulty design. But loved the New Ratchet for sure 😎👍

The design is proven in the size 8 ratchet spanner, Wera will replace this T handle.
Oh man, that new zyklops driver looks... interesting. Not sure if I like that it's lacking a bal detent. And that handle looks excessively large... idk. I want to like it. The bit storage and the ratcheting swivel head functions are its best features. Thanks for the vid. I was just looking for info on this tool!

You know that you cant have a ball lock with that 1/4 hex socket and you cant have a small handle with 12 bits inside.....
I was hyped about the pocket set but didn't really like it once it arrived but now I find myself using it for all the quick odd jobs around the house Just ordered 17mm and 19mm sockets in 3/8 drive to put on the holder, because I already have the 10mm and 8mm on my Tool Check+
That second tool is perfect for FRC robots.
I like wera's design(just a little hard to use ) but i was going to buy them
First impression 😮
Could have had three sockets on either side, and it would not be too wide. Cool tool, that double-duty anvil is a great design. This is kinda like the Klein super screwdriver set. Thanks for sharing.
That but with the addition of a 7mm would be fantastic, 7mm used for hose clips in metric land.
Love your videos. Can you maybe review the Kinpex tool boxes?
Great channel! Curious as to what kind of folding knife you were using to open the box? Thanks!
I am at the 50th annual balloon fiesta on Albuquerque New Mexico and saw the Wera phillips screw driver hotair balloon.
Nice
Watching this I got a weird idea. Couldn't you put the 10mm socket on and then put the bit holder/extender on as well, through the middle of the socket? That way you could be carrying a full size ratcheting screwdriver with a 10mm socket in one compact package. For a job where all you needed was a 10mm and a screwdriver I could see it as a handy way of switching back and forth.

Got mine in today and it does indeed work that way. I haven't seen any reviews mention it yet, but I think it could actually be quite helpful in some applications.
Wera will replace that T handle for you. The mechanism comes from the size 8 ratchet spanner.
On that Wera sounds like an RMA to me.
Please help me here. I’m just a home handyman. If I have the ToolCheck Imperial along with a metic belt of sockets, what does a Zyclops buy me? Could I just use these sockets in a regular socket wrench?
My 3/8 t handle had the same reverse problem I found while using it in reverse it would constantly get stuck and switch directions... I pains me to say it but I was quite disappointed considering the great track record I've had with Wera. I got so fed up with it I tore it apart... I put a shim in the spring that stops the lever from switching directions. Also a slight amount of super light grease on the gear as it was dry and it completely solved the issue, smooth as silk now and doesn't lock up... definitely not the quality I've grown to expect from Wera.
Will be interesting to see how you get on with the 8009. It seems rather bulky to me and more likely only used where a normal ratcheting screwdriver would be used. I do like the 3/8 drive feature as that is my favoured drive size. The t-handle looks good, a lot smaller than the one in the Gedore set, that is a bit more like the 8009, but only has 1/4 bit drive.
Ya I like the zyklos but it's kinda pricey for me
I’m afraid after using pbswiss ratchets on the daily you become spoiled. Lol The pocket zyclop seems pretty sweet
Can you test wether the wera 8009 head woukd fit the wera 1/4 zyklop ratchet. This would be a killer combo if it can work. Wondering if Wera sells spare parts

I'm a little late, but I just compared mine and it seems to be the same size

@@---Michael--- I think that would be an awesome combo I contacted wera but they would not sell me just the 8009 head to swap on my 1/4 ratchet
Wow, thought it was going to be perfect, but they went and put magnets all over it :/ Wish they did some sort of locking feature for it even if that meant they would have to use a 3/8 to 1/4 bit adapter for it.
Man it needs some kind of knob on top and a plastic collar. I dont know how you would do that knob without it digging into your palm tho. I'm sure this could be figuired out.
I bought an 8009 & the caracel that holds the bits together came apart & bits went all over when i opened . I bought it on ebay can i send it back & get a new one anybody know
that sound to me is the reverse not fully engaging. especially since it did not want to drive. you will know when you put some decent load on it
So would you say this would REPLACE the prior Zyklop ratchets?
@MillisConstruction
Жыл бұрын
Not necessarily, I do plan on a comparison video very soon. If I was choosing one as a first ratchet from Wera though I would definitely grab the 8009 over the standard I think. I’m using this tool way more than I first expected
I like the new pocket Zyklop, but it's just a little too expensive. Maybe they should sell it empty as an option. I don't need more bits, really.
For the algorithm 😊
We are eons away from getting these in Canada. Their new Ball grip drivers will never get here.
I sware this is Marty Hudgens
Nice tool but a $180 I don't think so.
first
That bosch freak style zyklops is Gucci at $180. Especially when you consider the Klein 7 in 1 impact flip socket does sockets and bits for about $20 and you can add a handle with storage with the 14 in 1 HVAC for another $25.
@DerRindenmulchficker

But it isnt a ratchet
🇩🇪🪛👨🔧🥰👌
I don't see why this is so expesive. Only magnetic to hold sockets and bits, i don't like that.
$177 no way... with Klein $20 dollars similar product , we can do almost the same stuff, these tools are nice BUT OVERPRICED
Overpriced trinket gadget.
@wb8147
Жыл бұрын
Yeah. I have no idea who this product is for. You could fit tools that perform all of the same functions, and more, in a small canvas zipper pouch. The tool itself is so bulky, I'm not sure where it would even be useful.
This video could have been under five minutes long. Anyways...why would I care about getting into tight spots with that clunky handle? Wera sockets are also kinda trash...only laser etching that wears off. They need to stop cheaping out.
was redest du für ein müll????die bits werden von magneten gehalten und der griff mit den bits ist viel zu locker und scharfkantig
i like wera, but i stay at hazet. i dont want change whole tools, because i dont like it is a mixed assortment. 😂🙈
