Rear lights and touch sceen looks much more better on the 2020 version😊

the rear lights are still the same on the new version, you only get those lights with the matrix upgrade package

The only difference i can notice here is the bigger infotainment screen on the 2024 model
I drive the golf 8 R line atm, but I want the facelift it looks much better
I wonder why car manufacturers are so slow in accommodating tech and ambiance features!

The non Rline model 2024 has a horrible front bumper compared to the 2020 non R front bumper, also the front lights with a doble projector looks far better then the single projector in the 2024 model. The only positive thing is they removed the fake exhaust from the rear bumper. Basically is a design downgrade that makes the golf 8.5 looks uglier than the original mk8 design.
The 8.5 exterior looks worse. It would have been ideal to just fix/update the poor user experience in the interior - and keep the exterior relatively the same.
