    Instead of building a house with a sleep trigger, it would be nice to have a production facility to turn logs into wood that can be donated to build rental houses that would provide monthly income.

    14:30 that isn't a toy tractor. That's a cross country jump for horses!!! ❤❤❤ Those flags are set up exactly correct, the colors indicate right vs left hand for direction of the jump. I really hope this is a good sign that horses have been improved.

    Really liking what I've seen so far. Something I think would make the maps a bit more immersive is a fix of the traffic logic which runs on rails. Have them perhaps stop at intersections or slow down for corners etc. Otherwise a lot of nice new stuff and the lighting engine certainly brings a new level to things. Love to also see how that might reflect textures in winter against snow and similar effects

    If they think this is a reskin of 22 do need to get there eyes check. I have never seen a map come out of FS especially a beginning map. That is so immersive and the fact that you can now go into buildings. 😲😲 Also all the other elements they added to the map and game. This is on a whole worldly level 😲😲

    I do believe at 10:45 that big silver container would be a sawdust silo, we used one at a local pallet production company i worked at for almost 2 years it was hooked up to a sawdust collection system for the entire facility, think of a huge vacuum hooked up to all the saws in diff locations that would dump it into the hopper/silo we had. at least that's my assumption. what a good looking map!! great video!! and thank you!!

    The Airplane, rather commercial airliner, sound effect is an awesome touch. I know some FS22 maps, No Mans Land for example, have planes. But they are low flying prop plans simulating maybe a crop duster or something else. Maybe that was a different noise, but I listened to that clip multiple times and it sounds identical to a commercial jet. To me, if that really was an airliner, it really brings the "world" alive for me. I pass through rural farms all the time in my area and a lot of them are either on final approach vector, or on the approach pattern. So it will nothing to have a back drop of a combine harvesting wheat or a tractor baling hay with an A320 coming in on long final, or even skirting across the shallow horizon get ready to set up for final approach at about 3000ft-5000ft. SO yeah cool stuff they have queued up for us. Great Interviews as well. Still would like some map messing though. Like if you are hosting a server you can have a buddy with a farm on Elm creek, and you can be on Gold Crest and you can visit or even deliver goods back a forth, obviously there would have to be a loading screen. IDK I think it would be a cool multiplayer concept..

    I'm hoping that with the old grain mill building they showed off that they are planning for a bit more dynamic use of trains. It had a track to load trains but it would be pretty unrealistic for the normal train to always drive through an old run down building like that, so it would be cool if that means there are switches and that you could uncouple the cars. There's a nice mod that lets you place tracks and trains for FS22 and it would be nice if that was base game and you could say rent/request a grain hopper like you can with shipping containers from Silverun and fill it and either leave it to be picked up or attach it to the train to be shipped out.

  • @Feldynn
    @Feldynn5 күн бұрын

    I wonder if that paper boat we see on the windowsill in the rundown grain mill building is a new collectible for this map! It would make sense since the river is an important part. I'm really impressed with how Giants map making has been improving in quality, the interview at the end here was absolutely brilliant and really shows off just how they try to do that "best of both worlds" kind of thing to make the maps believable / realistic yet diverse enough to work with the different aspects of the gameplay features. I can only imagine that "where do I start?!" look of bewilderment on MrSealyP's face that Florian mentioned there to describe how they go about choosing and creating a map! 😁

    Hi, love your vids, very informative. But I've heard you complain four separate times about people saying this is a reskin... my guy. This is literally the definition of a reskin. I'm not saying Giants should be doing more. I think they're doing a fantastic job at bringing us the next generation of farming simulation, and I am very excited for it. There are some amazing new mechanics, and some much needed graphical improvements, but that doesn't make it a brand new game. They are still using 90-95% of what they had already built over the last decade of farming simulator games. And there's nothing wrong with that! If this wasn't a reskin, we'd all have to wait 10+ years for the perfect farm sim to be built from the ground up. I mostly blame the people that make it sound like reskinning is a negative thing. Sometimes, a reskin is literally just the previous game, re-released at full price with some new cosmetics. Purely a cash grab. (MW2) This is NOT that. This is a well thought-out reskin with enough significant improvements to be marketed as a new game. It's still a reskin though. Same mechanics; same engine; plus some welcomed and necessary additions/improvements. A reskin done right.

    I'd trade all the graphics improvements for some actual simulation of farming. It looks like the same tired old pig (game engine) with some more lipstick slapped on. I really hope they continue to add more NPC's and have other farms not owned by you show they are in full operation with AI, for example, tractors in fields working, products being brought to businesses, animals being cared for, etc... I also hope they add more animations to the production plants/ businesses with "employees" working, machines working, etc... we get spoiled with those types of features with games like GTA and RDR2 where you see towns and cities in full operation like real life. overall very excited for FS25.

    Yes! It's also quite unrealistic to be able to purchase an entire Oil Mill or Spinnery for just 100k or 150k. I would love to see this expanded to be able to use this production site more than to own it. Or if you eventually want to own it, it has to reflect a realistic price, but then also give you a breakdown of costs (labor, machines, utilities) or something in that way that's a bit more in depth

    I can't say that I'm real optimistic about the layout, and it really doesn't represent most farmland in the US, it's like Ravenport (not popular) all over again. A lot small, chopped fields, FS25 in the year 1950, they never want to build anything that represents modern day, it almost always leans to the retro side.

    Beautiful soundscape, sounds very much alive….but doesn’t look like it’s alive. Need to see the birds making the noise…the swarm of gnats buzzing around… see the branch that fell in the water making ripples… etc. Where’s the plane flying by, the tractor running in the background, the sound of your feet in the grass… I’m sure a lot will be added before release, but that’s one of the big complaints I have about prior games aside from idiots driving on the road, not much sense that this place is “alive.”

    Shame the gps is way to simple (like seasons in fs22), was looking forward to basevgame gps but we can’t even do A B lines. All the rest I’ve seen looks awesome, don’t get me wrong, but the gps is something for dummies. Hopefully they will give some realism to people that actually want to farm (seasons like we had in fs19 would be awesome).

    The US is a pretty big place. But I do believe I understand and agree with your point. Presumably there are not a lot of Farming Simulator players from Louisiana or the Mississippi River Delta that play the game. I loved the Silverrun forest map in looks, but being a “farmer, farmer,” it didn’t appeal to me and I didn’t give it much of a go. I do feel Ike Giants should probably also do a standard ‘American’ map with the new release, but admittedly have no clue the size of their team or how long it takes to make a detailed map.

    Here in my county,the family farm i worked for tended close to 1000 acres across 3 counties with the biggest field only being about 50 acres. Most of these fields would have a problem getting a 40' header into the field. There is also a big farm with 100+ acre fields that does run a 2 combine operation with the 45' headers so it varies just in my area.

    You can't tell me graphical improvements here and there are enough to make it NOT a reskin of 22. I really wish they maybe did put focus into making a 32x32 KM map because it would make it realistic distance like he said in the interview. And if they didn't make one, at least optimize it, I find large maps like that take a significant FPS hit. If they optimized that then maybe the modders could actually work their magic
