the comet's tail does not act like a jet engine. It moves because it is in orbit. The tail is caused by dust and gas being blown away from the comet by the solar wind.

I beg to differ: The tail is plasma in glow mode. The plasma is glowing because its discharging relative to the electrical potential of the sun. It’s not lighted by the sun. The dust being machined off comets is dark… it is dirt, not ice. Silicates plus hydroxyls from positive ions from the sun… the same reason we find water on the moon. The deflection of the filaments (tail) was a simple reaction to charges of the particles moving orthogonally through them.

@@abighairyspider comets are propelled because of their long eliptical orbits around the sun. The closer to the sun, the faster it goes. As it is leaving back out away from the sun the tail will be in front of it because of the solar winds. The tail usually starts to generate inbound near the orbit of Mars. That's when the the sun begins to start burning off the comet. It may end up like comet ISON which burnt away as it went around the sun.

Hey, at 01:43 when saying that the tail of a comet acts like a jet engine that propels the comet forward, I meant in the look, not in the function. Sorry for not making this clear enough. The tail of a comet is actually a result of the comet’s motion and the sun’s radiation pressure. The tail always points away from the sun, regardless of the comet’s direction of travel. Also, its motion is determined by its orbit around the sun, which is influenced by gravity and other factors. I hope this clarifies the confusion and you still enjoy the video. Thank you for your feedback.

Wait you mentioned a solar eclipse in august. What date was that? I’m trying to find information on it. Thank you 🙏🏽
The tail of a comet does not lay in its path and realy has nothing to do with a jet engine or any kind of propulsion. Actually its solar activity which is responsible for the rails appearence. The tail always points away from the sun. It gets shorter when nearing the sun and will grow again when the comet leaves the suns vicinity, until it finally fades away.

the interesting thing you are missing is that on approach its orbit was calculated as hyperbolic, being ejected from the solar system after perihelion. However now it has clearly been captured by the sun's gravity and will be returning to the inner solar system in 485 years or so i believe

Captured by the sun electrically. Like you said, the orbit was calculated using gravity (ie, Einstein) and wrong.

no the orbit is calculated by observing multiple positions along its course in space three dimensional coordinates. on approach looked AS IF it might be on a hyperbolic out of solar system but now confirmed as long period comet returning whenever, so something has shifted that predicted orbit whether thers an electrical influence is yet to be proven, i keep an open mind, but it is gravity that can either assist a slingshot into expulsion from the system, or keep the object on a solar based long elliptical orbit, which of cousre you know already. all the best @@abighairyspider

There is no such thing as gravity; It's a theory not a physical fact. Also, the Earth is Flat, Stationary and Non-Rotating and the Sun is not 93 million miles away.
Oh man, I love your channel, but the error about the comets trail having anything to do with propulsion needs to be corrected.

For every action there is an opposite and equal reaction. If the comet is throwing off material visible as a tail there is an opposite reaction.
We saw this on the 13th!! Unaware it was passing as we used our telescope, husband asks loudly WHAT is THAT?! I jump up, nearly falling over my chair! The green with a long tail was so beautiful! So blessed to have seen it!
Thank you so much for the info on this comet, I am so excited!!
I saw what looked like a piece of this comet’s tail flying across La Quinta a few days ago. I took a video of it, it was pretty amazing
Great video...👍
I wish I could see stuff like this with my beloved one.
Looking forward to observing comet Nishimura, weather permitting!
Saw it this evening: Grenada in the Caribbean about 7:18pm 12th September 2023...
Hey man, I really like the videos about Nishimura and I have a question. In the previous video, you've mentioned that the comet will be closest to the Sun on september 25th, but you haven't mentioned that date in this one, will we be able to see it then, on the 25th of september?

IL 17 SETTEMBRE
In ancient writings it was said that some specifically had 'beards', 'tails', and 'horns'. This is due to the relationship the cometary body had with it either approaching or leaving the vicinity of another oppositely charged body. It is all 'charge differential' of plasma and not 'dust and gas' being blown off by the solar wind.

You are saying the best time to see this comet is on October 13 in the South / South-West after Sunset. I live in the United States (Pennsylvania) and EVERY news article that I have read pertaining to THIS comet states the BEST viewing time and location are September 10 through September 12 facing EAST / Noth-East about one to two hours before sunrise. How are you coming up with October 13 in the South / South-West??? The information that you are putting out is an entire month later than every news outlet that I have read.

@@ewwallace3 At the 3:49 to 3:51 mark of this video, the narrator CLEARLY states October 13th as one of the best viewing times. South-Southwest after sunset. I had to replay this a few times just to get clarification of what was said.
I’m sorry I was not able to see anything with our cloudy skies from the southwestern area, im from Texas and I love star gazing so it was unfortunate that I did not witness this sign in the sky. Psalm 121, 91, 19:1, John 3:16 🙏🏼
Presumably the formation of the tail may also be affected by its fast motion which heads on with solar wind to create a force that strips off the gas and dust from its body, thus forming the awesometail.

I don't understand how debris ejected from the comet can aid in its trajectory! It seems to me that the sun-facing side will eject even more than the leeward side and thus it would slow down! None of that statement makes any sense at all!

With each comet we ask the question, will it be bright enough to see with the naked eye? Someday, there will be a comet which passes so close to the Earth, when we see it it will fill the entire sky! So bright that we will even see it during the daylight hours! If that happens we will be grateful if it does not strike the world. And we will be grateful that we were able to see such a huge comet in the sky. In that case it will be close enough for dust particles to wash over the satellites. Then we will know if those particles affect satellites or not. Like snow filling up a satellite dish. It's like shaking out a rug. The one shaking the rug gets a face full of dust. The person standing nearby should take a few steps back.
So if theres really a comet then how come ppl on the east coast didnt see it?
Please please. Remove all disturbing music and sounds. It's horrible and disturbing.
