The Yachtmaster II and palm dials have been retired. ADs just selling out existing stock. They’ll probably do the reverse of the bubble dial with the puzzle dial, where the individual puzzle piece colours will be day-date ‘Stella’ dials.

2024 card but when was the production date? It could just as well be that the AD has had the watch in his safe since 2022 but just sold it this year.

I’m always more interested in what they might discontinue. If I was gonna make a simple prediction tho, I would say we might see a sub for the first time in rose gold and also a sub on an oysterflex. I suspect they might also add a leather strap to an option or 2 since leather is only available on the 1908. I don’t think there’s going to be a brand new watch since they are sooooo slow to release a whole new model, and they just recently dropped the 1908.

My AD told me he thinks it’s unlikely the sprite gets discontinued, given the investment needed to tool a left hand GMT. I wonder if they do make a coke, it could replace the sprite on the left hand case

You do realise firstly the AD knows nothing, then secondly a LH GMT is exactly the same as a normal one apart from the date wheel and the dial, right?

I think the reasons you mention are the reasons it will be discontinued. Too much work for Rolex.

@@imtomaustintrue but it still requires different matching than the other GMT models. Rolex is all about automation and the Sprite slows down the process. I see it going.

Instead of new models, Rolex should concentrate on fixing the reliability issues with new movements. I’d take that over a purple Sub.

I think the Pepsi will stay but the Sprite will go. The Sprite was the only GMT not shown in the last Rolex GMT ad video a month ago. If it does go, expect the price to go up significantly.

I see you've been getting some slack. But I like your comments regarding the broken Pepsi bezels etc. I also noticed, Rolex are having issues with its newer-generation movements, according to various forums.

The Espresso GMT Master II which was the first Ceramic Bezel, also there have been 3 GMT Master II released in white gold black dial Pepsi in White Gold blue dial Pepsi in White Gold meteorite dial Pepsi in White Gold Rolex will release the New Coke either in 2024 or 2025. I believe that they will release a GMT Master II Black/ Grey bezel in stainless steel as well.

If Rolex are really struggling with the Red on the Pepsi bezel why would they bring out a Coke version as they would still struggle with the Red on the bezel. Just my opinion but I don’t even think that they are struggling with the Red on the bezels.

It’s the process of layering the blue onto a full red bezel that they are having issues with. This is why all other GMTs are only half colour (with black)

Watch vloggers in KZread land harp on with the same old pap. To you, watches are all about the latest shinny thing that captures your limited knowledge and imaginations. Even when a watch like the Yacht Master 2 comes under threat of cancellation in the Rolex catalogue, due to its looks or whatever, there is never any consideration for the complication within. I don't much like the YM2 in its current form, but the movement is very complex and quite an achievement. Very basically, why don't you try to promote the idea that such a watch could be made a finer creation by altering its outward design thus preserving the piece's horological significance and its place in the catalogue? I'll tell you why, it's due to your not having a care in the world for watchmaking or horology; a new flashy veneer far outweighs the inner workings of the art and craft, understanding such a thing requires intellectual application to fully appreciate it. Sadly that's too much like hard work. There you go.

Hi Phil I'm on the list for the yachtmaster two and my Rolex ad as told me that they don't get many in and Rolex are definitely discontinuing the yachtmaster this year.

The Pepsi isn’t likely going anywhere. I’ve not heard of anyone breaking a bezel on the Pepsi. This is literally the only place I’ve heard it. And the bezel on the Pepsi is made of the same stuff as the bezels on all the other GMTs and Subs-so this rumor sounds Ukrainian level stupid.
