My regular salesperson at my AD sold one of a diamond Sky-Dweller piece with meteorite dial on Oysterflex. He said apparently 5 made and it was invitation only. He sent me a wrist shot from before the customer collected it. Stunning piece.

I remember when platinum baguette Daytona’s and even Rainbow Daytona’s were in the windows collecting dust ! Baguette Platinum Daytonas were selling for $50-60K on the grey market . RG Olive DD40 was selling for $28-30k grey market Hulks were selling for $4-6K max WG smurfs were selling for $18-22k John Mayer Green Daytonas were selling for 25-29k Hell a Stainless AP RO Double balance wheel skeleton was selling for $50-60k also 😂 Great times

Yes I have been allocated an off catalog Daytona. Very difficult. I have a tremendous history with my AD with jewelry as well as watches. Ya gotta give to get.

I am planning to add a Yachtmaster 42 in white gold for my next reward watch. I have seen the diamond bezel YM42 and it is stunning. I'm not normally a precious stones kind of guy, but wow! No idea where/when I would wear it (except around the house) given that is certain to attract a great deal of attention, possible of the wrong type. I think I might draw the line at the standard YM, but... I was in Japan earlier this year. So many second-hand watch shops. I went into one of the local chains in the Ginza area and there, quietly minding its business, was a Rainbow Daytona. Stunning piece. Gotta' love Japan too. If that watch had been on display almost anywhere else in the world, there would have been well-armed burly man standing next to it. In Japan, it was sitting amongst its cheaper brethren, behind a thin layer of glass. I'm heading back to Japan in the fall and if it is still there, I think I will ask to try it on. I'll post it on my IG and wait for the comments. :p

yes i know many people who have bought sevral off catalogue watches like the arabic daytona with baugette bezel and arabic day date with olive dial and many more brands like ap, f.p.journe, patek phillipe .......

For Off Catalogue you’ll need about a $1M+ spend history , depending on city it’s more like $2.5-5M+ spend history

Those watches are available to customers whom can easily afford them and aren’t flippers trying to make a quick buck. A decade ago during my trip to Barcelona a chain of AD’s carried every gem incrusted Rolex imaginable in their display cases readily accessible to everyone. Times have changed, but I’m certain AD vaults are still full of these watches awaiting serious buyers. However the market for these watches is small and a lot of gray dealers don’t have the necessary liquidity to afford them nor the type of clientele to move them.
