I really appreciate that you actually rolled the augments for these builds instead of modding to get the ~technically possible~ but actually statistically impossible results that I see a lot of build videos doing; it’s super discouraging to watch a build video and get excited only for the person to be like “oh I used mods to get the augments lol”, I love love love that your builds are actually possible and realistic for someone playing the game without mods!! Anyways, these builds look very fun and I look forward to rolling augments hundreds of times in order to make them myself lol, thanks for the video!

Really appreciate the comment! I find it very challenging to recommend builds when builds require augments to be usable. So I wanted show it’s possible myself at least. Last thing I want is something that is misleading and unobtainable!
I was inspired by the ending comment, i now have a furious+Moh aug, a furious+2, strife+powder mantle, Moh+windmantle, strife+elem exploit and got close but decided to do Strife2 Moh2 so i could have wind and powder mantle and it feels amazing! Ty for the recommendation even if you feel its unrealistic, I'm currently looking to trade that strife+ elemental exploit for strife+2 but it is a SERIOUS undertaking, thousands of augs
Wake up, babe. TU5 element builds are out

Hey I love switch axe and have 5,100 uses on sunbreak for reference. You can now use 4 pieces of risen Val instead of losing the legs for the dereliction for it on a talisman. It's a worse chase, but if you can manage to get a Furious+2 on a piece, it allows you to aug in MoH3 and strife 1 along with both mantles pushing the elemental builds atk up quite a bit since you can fuse the Moh with the furious drg conversion. It can take thousands of augments tho, it took me that long anyways

Wow crazy double furious augment! Very nice!
Yo thanks for this
I was afraid of dereliction too, but after using it for a while. It’s easier to manage than I thought it would be. I always eat for a super recovery dango too. And if you can fit blood rite. It will help a ton too. My set now have 3 dragon conversion 3 furious 3 strife and 1 dereliction the core skills. I have all the element up and atk 7. Then 3 chain crit, 3 elem exploit and 3 crit elements as the bonus skills too. But I got lucky with dereliction charm. However, The easy way is that I would try to get core skill on dereliction armor as this skill has no augment and it would be difficult to snipe it on the charm and try to get at least strife 2. Preferably using R. Shaggy chest. I would say give dereliction a try! I never use it until this title update either.

I’ve given it a try on and off and after a while it’s.. just a little too tedious for my preference. I appreciate what it is and why you’d want to run it but just not for me! :) Very nice putting together the full dc with strife set though!

@@AifritGaming thank you! I rolled furious during the last title update on the right piece of armor and got a dereliction charm. So making a building became. But easier. If you only want strife for the 10% of crit and elements, I suggest using the chest piece I mentioned. And roll for a dragon conversion. I hear you about dereliction. I sometime forgot to look at my health during the fight. I thought I dodge a lot of attack but I found myself in a danger zone a lot of time 😂 but I’m not that good of the game so I consistently heal myself a lot through out the hunt anyways. I hope there is other reliable way to use strife besides dereliction! 😭
Just watched your video, really enjoying seeing your builds. I know you are not a speed runner but since you wrote in the thumbnail "This is the peak" I was wondering what are your clear times for anomaly investigations? Do you feel that with these new sets your clear time is faster respect to those ones in TU4?
@AifritGaming
Жыл бұрын
Thanks! Sure, I can give roughly what I recall my times being like. I'd say for a monster I'm well practiced in where I use element like Furious Rajang a ~AR250 takes me somewhere between 7-9 minutes. It's hard to say the difference as the monsters also get more hp as I obtain new sets. The math says it's something like 10% or more stronger which would reduce clear times by .. maybe less than a minute? Specifically the dragon conversion set does a lot more damage now compared to TU4 now that the raw damage is also good. Something newer like risen shag or a monster I'm particularly bad at (risen kush) I frequent 12+ but that's more on me. Hope this helps.
I finally got 3 dragon conversion + 3 furious on my set and I got some advise. I don't recommend using skills+ unless it's actually necessary for the skill you're rolling for. the -7 resistance is normally a small loss, but since you're using dragon conversion it actually hurts your damage, too. 5 pieces with -7 resistance is -35. For furious, you do not need to use it. Basically the augment system has a budget to spend on augments, and a cost for each skill. It can increase the budget by taking away skills, defenses and resistances. What skills+ does is it guarantees you lose 7 resistance and a skill but gives a flat +10 to the starting budget. Furious costs 9, which is less than the starting budget of 10 for endgame armor pieces. Dragon conversion costs 12, so it can only be acquired if it takes something else away. Using skills+ will therefore increase your chance of getting it, but will also give you a worse result. Also as a tip if you're on pc, when rolling augments use KB+M inputs. place your mouse over the 'yes' prompts, then just get used to the cycle. After checking a roll, right click f f x f f. You can do a cycle per second or two, and It's a LOT more comfortable than doing it with controller, where most of the inputs will be done with just one thumb (or some goofy ah hand position)

Unfortunately not on pc so lots of buttons hah. Thanks! I didn’t know the bits around DC and 12 points. I think you make a good point that there are greater heights and going with ordinary skills augment does yield better results at a relatively significant amount of element (~8.75 at worst?). I think it’s an important thing I could’ve added the benefits of not going skills+. Overall with skills+, it’s still a gain with better odds of completing the build but definitely not the best you can do.

@@AifritGaming I think skills+ basically doesn't increase the chance of furious at all so you shouldn't use it there, but for conversion it'll save time.
@AifritGaming

@@BigDBrian the thing is skills+ always returns a skill but skills can return no skill and just defence changes. So there’s better odds in skills+ that you can’t get the no skill outcome.
Watching your poison builds made me wonder if it's possible to fit both elemental and poison packages with Flaming Espinas Swaxe. It applies a hidden 28 poison status (so up to ~80 with element phial, phial switch boost, bloodlust, poison attack 3, and blue scroll dereliction), 4-1-1 slots and native purple sharpness. Would be interesting to see how it fares against the traditional element and status builds.
@AifritGaming

Unfortunately it actually doesn’t work out as well as I sounds. Though it has some niches. The main problem is phial types. Switch Axe ends up being quite strong because you can lean into the phial type for a big gain/advantage. So in a very element favoured match up the magmadron ends up being better because it has more fire and is also an element phial. The poison doesn’t really make up the damage especially because it isn’t a power phial for the 15% additional raw damage on top of things like foray. However, it could get very close to an edge if a monster is only slightly weak to fire and has decent raw zones like base form Lunagaron. But the short of it is that when raw is good, power/exhaust phial status is just too much more since flespinas isn’t a power phial. And when element is good it can’t make up the difference because element phial makes the difference a lot more significant.
Nice Swaxe build! I was waiting for you to build a tu5 swaxe build. Btw i got a talisman with 2 dragon conversion and one bloodlust skill with 2-1 slots. What armor changes do i do with respect to your build?
@AifritGaming
Жыл бұрын
Thanks! Hmmm then you would only need to augment in 3 furious. Might lose some skills in total since the talisman won't have as many slots as what I use. I think armor set would be the same.
In your status build video you said the risen chameleos waist was a good replacement if we didn't want bloodlust. Would that work fore these builds too or is there a better alternative? Is the bloodlust critical for these sets to work? Thanks for all the awesome builds.
@AifritGaming
Жыл бұрын
Chameleos waist will be fine if you’re not into bloodlust. While bloodlust is very effective, overall we do do much damage now that it’s not really a huge deal. The 20% affinity from one skill is the main reason for bloodlust. On the other hand, Cham waist has great slots and wirebug whisperer so you get a lot of value out of it. With the current allowable skill budget I think no bloodlust is no big deal.
Any chance you can come up with a set that maximises damage for the parry counter?, im bashing my head against the wall to find one. I'm getting tired of seeing a two cost silkbind do miserable damage
What do you think about the skill Charge Master?
I have 3 dragon conversion 3 furious 3 strife 1 dereliction on my set with none of those skills on my talisman thanks to a lucky roll on gaismagorm legs which now have dereliction + furious + strife. I think If you get at least one lucky roll which has two of those skills, you'd be good to go. I use Chaotic helmet, risen shaggy gloves with dragon conversion and risen valstrax chest+waist. I got the set up with a pretty reasonable number of armor augments, but I might've been lucky. Hoping for a furious/dragon conversion talisman now ^^

@@AifritGaming I think it's fine the way you do it, meta in rise is more of a guideline than an absolute heh. I've been using skill priority lists for making sets since sunbreak, but seeing builds like these can give new ideas for individual armor pieces etc. :)
Hey i just started Monster Hunter Rise a few days ago and decided (at my current progress point MR5, to main Switch Axe). Since im not at the current end game i can still chill a little but I see that it gets very grindy for BiS Sets. What Switch Axe build do you recommend for the kind of 1 set to do all content that I can work towards?
@AifritGaming
7 ай бұрын
There’s quite a few status raw sets that are pretty good against all targets. Exhaust is most popular among these due to its ease of use. I think starting with exhaust is probably a good idea. The major skill that makes it very effective is unlocked near the beginning of the end game with Buildup Boost and Risen Chameleos. I don’t have much for pre end game, but Exhaust sounds like a good start. As you become more comfortable there are more powerful raw status sets with power phial that would mostly share the equipment. I cover most all raw status sets on the channel as well. Hope this helps!
hey, it's not realy recoended to do skills + on swaxe tho, it forces a -7 element res, it's a bit of a lost in dmg, thought it's easier most of the time

Ah I see. Yeah slight loss there.
Someone get this man a degree in switch axe already
i havent been following elemental builds since tu3, so im curious if the whole "grounded vs aerial" thing is still applicable with current elemental builds... would you say that the latter still holds up?
@AifritGaming
Жыл бұрын
If you mean if aerial is still viable to play then I'd say it has high risks at the hardest hunts right now. Though bloodblight and blood rite decorations can help with healing through damage while zsding. I think a fair bit of defense investment should still make it work for the most part. For damage if you're doing the aerial things it should be strong. Though I don't play aerial too much myself and often fear for my life latching onto the tougher monsters these days.

I feel rather than going through the pain of getting furious you can run burst 3 and element exploit 3
If I'm not mistaken using skill plus for DC hurts DC because your drop elemental resistance.

Жыл бұрын
Yeah that's true. Not sure if there's a video out there that tells the difference but it is a noticeable difference if all 5 pieces have been skill plus augment. Alternatively if you are doing dragonheart dragon conversion with raw or dragon element you should be fine I think.
To get the most out of dragon conversion, we have to attack in blue scroll till we see that elem resist icon then switch to red for extra element right? But just how long does this buff last for?
@AifritGaming
Жыл бұрын
That's right. For specifics, you need 30 hits while in blue scroll to get the buff. There _is_ some kind of time where if you have not gotten a hit where this counter resets. I'm not sure how long that is. However, once you do get the buff and switch back to red you'll be good for the rest of the hunt unless you cart. You can even switch to another element loadout with DC and you'll still have the benefits.

Is elem exploit better the crit elem? Saw alot of build using crit elem and with high affinity also

How does Frostcraft look on SWAX?
@AifritGaming
Жыл бұрын
Generally the whole sheathing thing works really poorly on SA. You typically always want your weapon out since sheathing is very slow and prevents you from defending yourself with the counter when sheathed. it doesn't perform very well unfortunately compared to other weapons.
SWAX tax is definitely stuffing our conversion builds as well as the devs ignorance to the RNG fest. Not to mention all of rise has been us telling the devs "RNG BAD", which they've listened twice, once with Chaotic's update "pick whatever you want!" (still have a worse Rapid Morph talisman than before when you couldn't target them!) then again with Amatsu, giving absolutely bonkers talismans. except for the fact that there's.... skills tied to rng that you cannot target and are only in the normal pool? why fk u that's why, I have two frostcraft 3 talismans, that I am unable to do anything with! I played a mockup of my furious/conversion build and I did not like it one bit, hopefully they eventually realise "hey we hate RNG, means, WE hate RNG".

I think not having decorations for any of DC Furious and Strife was a big oversight. Frankly, the fact that there are even skills without decos is counter to most of sunbreak's design. Sometimes I feel like capcom knows what the meta is when they hold out on AB4 and CE4 decos and "saving the best for last". But this is just blatant miss on skills that are critical for most sets. What's the point? It's basically the last update now so why hold back on these decorations?
Fun fact: Switch Axe mains prefer the air😂
