I like trout magnet products and I think those look good, but man those Nikko Hellgramites you have been using look so much better.

I’ve tried these before, gotten at a little fly ship and haven’t seen them in any store since. I think I need to go up to Tennessee to catch some fish with them. Sweet vid.

Just looking at those in the package I would have never tried them. But now I gotta get some because you proved they work. Ive always just used soft grubs or worms.

you've proven that the little soft plastic hellgrammite is a great ultralight fishing lure for the smaller bass in the creeks if you just wanna throw a line in :P

You may could alter one jog for smaller fish , I do that often , break out the knife and go to whittlin, some of mine that I altered to my liking seemed to work better after I did surgery on it . Good luck

i think i payed like $4 but i saw some yesterday online for like 1.99, somebody told me bass pro was going to carry them

Are they as durable as the Nikko brand? I guess you could use some 10 Lb test (2 Lb diameter) Power Pro Green braid, that would work great with that light lure. If you get hung up you can bend that light wire hook out and keep from losing the lure. Thanks for sharing the video.

Have you tried it on Trout? Seems kind of weird that it’s called a “trout” magnet and not use it on trout. If this lure isn’t used on trout then wouldn’t it stand to reason the trout magnets aren’t really made for trout?

It's way cheaper to go early and fetch your own bait from the creek with a small seine. Find some low rapid water over some rocks, set your buddy a few feet below the rocks and start tossing them over. that's where the hellgarmites are and crap load of crawfish.

They have those ones and they make smaller helgramites to. So they make 2 sizes.
