It won't set the world on fire , but there is plenty of power to have some fun. Fast bikes are fun but I feel that with less powerful bikes, you can enjoy the ride more. As long there is enough torque 👍🏻

After being a long time away from bikes and now just turned 70 I fell in love with the look of this bike and had to have one, didn’t even test ride it just went for it and not been disappointed. A lovely ride for fun around country lanes, doing 60 miles to the gallon and quick enough to do overtakes safely. What’s the point of anything bigger or powerful on these roads where there’s a speed camera around every corner, the days of getting your knee down are truly over. I would recommend this bike to anyone who just wants to ride for fun.

Perfectly put. I've "hung up my knee sliders" too after 40 years of riding. The T100 captures the spirit of riding I found all those years ago. I'd forgotten that feeling along the way somehow 😁👍

I have had my new T100 for six weeks today, and have put 1000 miles on it already. It suits me right down to the ground as I like cruising around the Yorkshire dales on my own. It is not super fast, but that torque is the icing on the cake for me. I have the blue and white one which to my eye looks the the best.

I traded "down" to a Triumph Street Twin (same engine) from a Harley with like twice the stated numbers in all specs. The Triumph is a much much better fit for me. Im enjoying it and RIDING it a LOT more.

Good to see you again chaps. I have a ‘18 T100Black. I took it to Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 in July with two mates who were riding a RnineT scrambler and an Indian FTR. My “little” 900cc Bonnie performed magnificently up against these two on various Scottish roads. I had to work the 4th and 5th gears quite regularly but that was all part of the fun. A tremendous bike and much more fun in the twisties than a cruiser styled bike with forward controls.

I own a 2019 T100 and it's a real pleasure to ride it both in thecity and on the highway.

Bought a T100 Goldline and pleased as I'm returning to bikes after a long absence. You are right in that the T100 is an easy bike to ride which adds to confidence for a newbie or a born ago biker 71 years old. Running in is not a hardship either.

I bought a secondhand 2018 version at 2/3 the price with only 1,500 miles on it. Comes with a few nice mods, x-pipe + crash bars + etc, too. I’m soooo happy with it. Feels so good to ride and get compliments all the time.

Hello!.....Appreciate you guys and your reviews. Purchased a RE Classic 350 about a year ago after having been off the mc stuff for about 10 years. But already looking to bump back up and considering the T100. Thanks for all you do.

Bought one in 2008. Great fun to ride and customize. Sadly the first few years had corrosion issues with fasteners, wheel hubs and spokes. Sold it on.

Hi I have been looking at the Royal Enfield interceptor, whilst the bike is very good for the price, including insurance, one video I was watching spoke about the T100 so I looked at those so Im now looking at buying a T100 as I don’t want to be servicing it every 500 miles and I also noticed that the foot rest and brake,and gear levers were much better as in quality the triumph looks better quality all round and the price difference between Enfield and Triumph isn’t that far apart, so nice video you guys have done look forward to seeing more thanks

Great review and presentation guys. Just came back from doing the NC500, did 2600mls in 12 days. Sooo comfortable with a triumph king and Queen seat, dropped the foot pegs with Tec items, sorted!!!

Absolute classically beautiful motorcycle. Reminds me of my Dads original Tiger Cub. Triumph have done a stirling job of keeping the amazing looks and uprating everything else. Currently loving my Harley 48 too much, but I do foresee a Triumph twin in my life at some point! Great review even with the odd mad sheep.

Another great review from your unique, no-nonsense and entertaining channel. Good stuff. At the ripe old age of 64 I got myself the T100 Goldline version in June 2022 and I’m absolutely loving it. My decision was in no small part down to your in-depth straight talking review ( as always) leading to a test ride. So thank you fellas. Happy to have bought you a few coffees on your sponsoring link 👍 You asked for feedback on the T100. I’m 5’10” and around 19 stone. (179cm, 129kg). Your assessment of its fine agile handling on all kinds of roads, more than adequate single Bramble brake on front disc and low-end torque characteristics were right on the money. I’ve owned the excellent Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE so have been used to the higher power and the sixth gear on tap but found the T100 a much better (‘compliant’) fit for mostly leisurely riding I do and also including when necessary, stretches of motorway (highway) and 70mph dual carriageways where I easily keep up with traffic with more than enough power to spare when needs be. I had the small fly screen fitted which helps counter the wind buffering a bit but keep in mind this is a naked bike. I could only tip-toe on the XE which on a a few occasions led to some spills on severe road cambers when coming to a stop, whilst I easily flat foot on my T100. Ok, the spills maybe were through lack of experience but that was my reality (risk) of having a very high seat height bike (870mm) and I feel so much more confident on my T100 in urban and rural areas. I’ve found the T100 to be so much fun around the twisties and hilly terrain, with very confident handling. The factory fitted tyres are absolutely fine and perform very well in the wet too. Urban riding is a doddle with its low-end torque (second gear takes you at ease between 15/20 and 40/45mph), its relatively low seat height (31 inch, 770mm) and low centre of gravity. It still weighs a fair bit though (205 kg dry, 235kg wet) but I see that as helping stability at higher speeds and windy conditions. A question you may be pondering as I did….do you go for the T120 or T100? Check out this channel for the T120 review. My advice is the best way to find out is test ride both for the kind of riding you will do, the roads you’ll be mostly running and your body size. I would probably opt for the T120 if most of your riding will be long touring trips, using 70mph roads a fair bit where that sixth gear and twin Brambles on the front discs will be the only advantage over the T100. Triumph have made a brilliant engineering job with stunning retro classic looks on both models. Keep up the great work on the channel fellas. Safe riding.

As regards your advice in avoiding spills when coming to a stop, I think I understand what you are explaining. I appreciate that your channel is geared to reviewing bikes but it would be great if you could perhaps do a short video demonstrating the best techniques for dealing with seriously adverse road cambers (cross-falls) at junctions or just merely when needing to come to a stop? I’ve listened to a few experienced bike riders who have different approaches and I’ve not come across tutorials on KZread adequately covering the issue. If you were to do such a demo video I’m pretty sure like me, many ‘newbies’ who are not so tall as you two would appreciate that. It would also bring a new dimension/variety to your channel as regards developing bike skills based from both of your obvious long biking experience. No worries if not….it was just an idea!

I'd suggest test riding both back-to-back if you can. Most Triumph dealers understand this quandary and will be happy to help. We tried both and the T100 was easily "enough". But you need to make the right decision for yourself. Good luck 👍😁

I like your videos, straight to the point with no frills or bullsh*t. 👍 I test rode one if these before buying a Street Scrambler, mainly because I preferred the riding position on the SS but the engine is basically the same and is an absolute peach! You're right about the upside down fork fad, totally unnecessary on many bikes from a handling point of view IMO. The design concept of upside down forks was the lower unsprung weight they offer, important on a cutting edge sports bike but hardly necessary on a bike like this and they'd look out of place anyway. The "perfect" Classic Triumph for me would be a 1200 version of the Street Scrambler unlike the current 1200 Scrambler which is a great bike in it's own way but a completely different mount.

Love your channel,it's a shame Triumph discontinued the Thunderbird range, particularly the 1700 Storm,great Cruiser,but edventour bikes are the big sellers,which Triumph do very well,I have 3 bikes,a 2008 Bonnie,and 2 Moto Guzzis,an 1100 Breva,and a 750 Breva which I use for off roading,,what I like about Guzzis,all hand built and guality since Piaggio took them over is superb,but still made in the same factory in Mandello on lake Como

If you’re a fan of the Triumph Scrambler, read Forgotten Road by Randall Arthur. The whole last half of the book highlights the Scrambler with numerous on-road adventures. The book is a work of fiction, but supposedly the adventures in the book are all based on Arthur’s real-life experiences.

Got me one of these in July 2021 and love it! Previous bikes have all been a lot more performance based but I feel less and less able to fully exploit them. I did try the T120 which is an exceptional bike, but I found myself feeling unable to really make the most of it's additional performance, The T120 is also slower to steer due probably to the twin F.Disc setup? The T100 with standard peashooters sounds great in my opinion. I won't be getting the decat, loud pipes etc. But might treat it to a belly pan and Rad guard :-). Ooh and fork gaiters - it needs fork gaiters.

I think we started to be a bit obsessed with a power and the numbers nowadays. And what's more we've got speed cameras on every corner so in reality 50HP is enough for everything and you can still loose your driving licence with that power ;) But of course it's nice to break some law occasionally :D

Another great video. Love the look of the Bonnie's but can't help thinking that it's a shame they're all made overseas as in fact all main stream production bikes in the Triumph range are. Went on a tour of the factory a couple of years ago and they were still producing some models at Hinckley at that point. Somehow it doesn't seem quite right.

Yes, excellent bike but the Guzzi V7 is a strong market contender for riding dynamics, build quality and historic badge.

Oh man, the size is perfect, was gonna trade my Street Twin for a new T100 (especially given the extra horse power and the new paint scheme) unfortunately Triumph decided to sell the thing for 12k EUROs (Thats almost double the Street Twin), which completely became unjustifiable (considering it has the same engine as the Street Twin), so I ended up buying a Yamaha XV950 Racer instead (it was my preffered bike anyway and performs just as well hehe) still very nice review! the T100 is an awesome bike, hope to ride it some day just for fun!

I have just part ex’d my RnineT scrambler for a SpeedTwin. It’s much more my kind of bike. Smooth as silk gearbox and pulls like a train. I couldn’t get on with the clunky boxer engine. The speedy now sits alongside my T100. Two similar bikes yes but different rides.

Scenery is amazing ! I had a new T-100 and loved it however I traded it back in for a new Speedmaster, which I love more. My opinion the Speedmaster is the best Bonneville as the old man thinks 👍. I have many years riding under my belt which was a factor. Speedmaster more comfortable, I ride more relaxed. I think the T-100 is for a younger rider 😎 Great Channel guys !

This is one of those bikes that people often discard just by the sheer numbers. Yep it doesn´t have all the power but it´s really enough in the real world. Any plans of doing the Kawasaki 900rs? Also a beauty of a bike in the classic vain although with a bit more bite. Keep up the good work!!!!

Had the Speed Twin demonstrator out whilst my T100 was being serviced. Wow! Was my initial impression. I loved it. If you want "sports bike" performance with a classic style I'd certainly recommend it. It was nice to have a go and I thoroughly enjoyed my time on the Speed Twin. Enough performance and handling to satisfy anyone who likes the style of the Bonneville. I was happy to give it back though and continue on my sweet sedate way - but I'm old and rather risk-averse these days.

Great reviews as always. Really torn between this bike and the street twin. Just got my license. The new ec1 street twin looks pretty sick. I’m going to really have to test ride them both. But if you were 5’10. What would be your preference between the two.

@@RichardParsons65 It is chain driven. Shaft driven classic inspired motorcycles would be Moto Guzzi V7/9 or BMW rninet.

No issues at all with our 2021 model. We'll have had it two years in June next year.

I'm just a bit over 5'-10", so I would fit on either the T100 or the Street Twin. I can't decide whether I want a T100 with the Street Twin's upswept exhaust pipes, or a Street Twin with the T100's spoked wheels. With either one, I am going to need to replace the mirrors with bar-ends and install a small fly screen to keep the bugs off the instruments. The Street Twin is a little cheaper and comes with road/rain riding modes, but only one clock. In either case, I'm loving that 2022 blue color.

We tried both two-up. The longer seat is welcome on the T100 and would give you more room to move about?

Thanks for this. the T-100 is high on my list as I ponder returning to riding after my recent retirement. Tell us - do you think this bike is suitable for occasional riding on dirt roads, (not trail or off road). I live in an area in the the US (Vermont) that looks a lot like the country shown in your videos with the addition of trees! I am looking for something that I can ride on dirt roads from time to time. Slow, as you say: "burbling along". I honestly would like to avoid the high pipe scrambler models for this sort of riding.

Great review! One problem I’ve had on these bikes just sitting on them in the showroom is getting my boot under the shifter. Just not enough space if you wear sturdy boots. Was this an issue on this bike?

Thanks! Not a problem we found but it’s very easy to adjust. I had it on my Honda Enduro and did it in 5 minutes 👍🏼

The first thing I do with a new bike is to adjust the shifter and rear brake lever - usually by only one spline. Easy to do. The rear brake lever felt too low for me and needed too much ankle rotation. Again, easy to adjust but bear in mind you'll also have to adjust the brake light switch 👍

Excellent review as usual and the bike is really lovely. But are Triumph bikes reliable for someone who is accostumed to japanese bikes?

Apart from a leaky valve cover from new which took them two attempts to cure (eventually needed a new cover) mine's also been completely reliable. One slight criticism of all the Bonnevilles (and you can hear it on this review) is the rather noisy gear change. That said, it's always positive and finding neutral is always easy too. I did ask about this at the dealer and they said it was "characteristic" and not a fault on my particular bike. That's probably fair, as every Bonneville I've tested is the same.

Thanks for the excellent review. These are beautifuĺl to look at at and beautifull to ride but the main wiring harnesses is rubbish and can give you grief! I have a 2019 black which has been at the bike shop for 3 weeks now waiting on a replacement wiring loom. The looms are to short and eventually the wireing gets damaged with the movement of the handle bars. I still love the bike tho.

Thanks for that. The 2021 > bikes have a number of improvements. They didn't mention the wiring harness (they wouldn't 😉) but we've had no issues with ours. Hope yours is sorted now. I presume they replaced your harness with the later type?

great video guys. which one would you prefer for longer journeys with sozia? the T110 or T120? would the single disc brake do also a good job with 2 riders and luggage?

With a combined weight of 22 st, our T100 is fine for us. The suspension copes with travel to spare but the performance might be dented a little if you load it much more. The T120 has exactly the same chassis and suspension components but the extra oomph and additional disc might be welcome if you do a lot of touring. The bench seat is also identical and one of the reasons we chose the T100 over the Street Twin was the additional seat length for riding two-up.

Been out today to do a little test re. 5th gear at 70mph. At 70 the motor is spinning over at 3500rpm (in top). Given that maximum torque for this engine is produced at 3750rpm it's actually geared perfectly to be in the sweet spot at 70. Yes, it sounds a little busy but at 2500rpm below the red line it loves it. And I suspect returns excellent fuel economy at that constant speed. I can't testify to this because I don't travel on motorways or A roads very often. But even two-up with mixed riding we get 70+ mpg 👍

Great review. I have a Triumph Bonneville T120 and it is without doubt the best bike I've ever owned!

The Speed Twin has a shorter wheelbase and steep rake and is more racy. The T100 is definitely more roomy , particularly with arm reach

@@MrDarcy-OlMan I also enjoyed your video of the Honda CB1100RS. I am looking for a kind of retro/classic bike wich I also can use for commuting to work. MG has shaftdrive wich other manufactures, except for BMW r nineT, do not have. It would do MG good to lend a bike so now and then for reviews. It perhaps will boost their sales. A lot of people watch reviews on KZread nowadays.
