I own a rustler vxl. Loving it! So much fun to drive. Mine has a castle creations 3800KV motor, mamba X esc, and 28/73 gearing.

Im... shocked lol that you didn't break at least one shock mount or shock eye on those jumps, but then again most of the ones we saw were very flat landings.

Wow, took it like a champ. I'm really happy I just got mine a few days ago, ready to rock and roll! Can't wait to get it out. Enjoy buddy have a lot of fun with it!

I’m impressed. Yours faired a lot better than mine. I have the exact same rustler and put it through only a fraction of the abuse. Ended up breaking a drive shaft and bending a front shock.

Well after seeing this video I have made up my mind on getting this car. What a beating it took😁

I found out about the existence of this JEEP, half A MONTH ago, and was SHOCKED that IT was a very COOL JEEP with REMOTE CONTROL, but not like a JEEP but an SPORT CAR with INFLATED WHEELS.!)) And it's AWESOME.

All plastic it's really flexible And strong for impacts. I did my emaxx In all integy aluminum I'll never do that again everything bends then your screwed with plastic it has give.

I bought an Emaxx a year ago. I've busted a few plastic parts but only when I hit something hard (pole or a rock) by bro in law has the older rustler and the stampede and he upgraded everything to aluminum, when he crashes things get bent and brake other parts that shouldn't have broke in the first place. causing him more headaches. I told myself that I won't change out my plastic parts and I'm glad I haven't! I do need to upgrade to Brushless though, I've burned out 4 sets of motors already...

I subscribed because u took a brand new rustler and drove it like it was stolen!!! I like how u see how much abuse they will take so when we buy we know its nice to know how durable a vehicle is before u drop 500 bucks or so. Surprise u didn't get any traxxas fan boys riled up lol and btw wow that thing is tough! great video!!!

I was pulling some sick double backflips at the bmx jumps today, it's all about the 14 tooth pinion screw the 11 and the 17 and go get a 14 and watch the magic, anyone who says this isn't a stunt rig doesn't own one lol.

Well, I can’t believe nothing broke, for stock that’s pretty good. I will get one if Traxxas doesn’t come with any surprises by February or so. It’d be indestructible with just a few rpm upgrades

How can the original plastic telescopic axle withstand such hard landings ? Did you change them for metal ones ?

I want to thank you because every time I am looking for a rc car I see if you have taken it to the skate park and see how much it can take before I go buy one. hoping to get a rustler this weekend

The force was so extreme that the plastic shock cap - it litterally exploded off. Incredibly helpful to learn the weaknesses. The OOOewwwwwwwewwewewWWWW. was loud af, i'm not gonna lie lol. thanks for sacrifice! Just had turn off volume at each landing!

Some really needs to develop some "true" basher shocks something that keeps it from bottoming out every time, obviously those are some overboard jumps, still think it would be cool.

Although I genuinely loved the Slash it required upgrades to strengthen it. The new Rustler 4x4 VXL does not, so I’d probably say Rusty

I'm on the fence between the Rustler, Senton or Granite for something 3S. Any suggestions? I currently have an Arrma Kraton v2 which I love.

I know what you mean, it's actually a really tough decision. I'd say for the price of an ARRMA Senton you simply can't go wrong! But then again if you have a larger budget you could always sway towards the new Rustler VXL. It's up to you, having owned both, you can't go wrong with either :)

@@JakeBilling Thanks, I love the look of the Rustler but initially leaning towards arrma due to the reputation and having experience with their durability. My Kraton has taken hits any mortal RC vehicle wouldn't have survived.

The new Senton BLX is only £269 here in England. It's stupidly cheap for a 50MPH Hobby Grade RC truck! :)

Rolling these at skateparks is cool and a lot of fun. Obviously no one skating on a rainy day like this; but, on days when skaters are there I hope you and your viewers know to head off. The reason skateparks exist is because skating in pedestrian areas or on private property has broadly been made illegal, so these are the only places we can go without being harassed. I love RCs and I love skating and I do enjoy your videos - thanks for hearing me out.

Andrew Miller the reason skateparks exist is because our tax dollars pay for it. Rc cars are just as welcome in my opinion as long as is not posing a threat to anyone. Stop acting so entitled.

JaDeD dRaGoN sure, but your taxes also pay for the city hall and police station and you don’t go into those places and run your RC cars. I’m not saying that driving RCs at skateparks should be outlawed, I’m saying that when skateboarders show up to skate at the park, stop running your RC cars there. There have been several times that I was trying to skateboard and had a kid run their car along the line I was trying to take. If I hit the car the kid won’t be hurt but I certainly would eat it. Given that as a skater I can’t just go somewhere else like someone running an RC car can, it seems appropriate that the kid running their RC should let me skate.

How the hell! I had mine out of the box 5 min and broke a rod end, barely cliping a pole. Got it fixed and busted 2 shocks on little natural jumps. Then the spur gear burned up next. Got all that fixed and now the motor is locked up. Believe me I love this lil truck but have had nothing but problems with it.
