I really hope the Super Bowl tonight shows us a sneak peek or even a teaser trailer of what this film is going to look like. I've been very fascinated to see what this film will be like since there is so much potential to truly tell one of the most captivating Transformers stories that truly adds nuance to the franchise that casual audiences rarely see from the live-action movies.

Bad news

Ever since I was a little kid my favorite part of transformers was cybertron. It’s why I love the war for cybertron games so much. And now that they are making a movie that takes place 100% on cybertron it’s a childhood dream come true.

As a fan from the very beginning of the Transformers franchise, both misters Cullen and Welker can never be replaced as the iconic voices of Prime and Megatron. Yet I completely understand why the need for younger actors doing the voices. First and most upfront, is the characters being younger. Secondly and less pleasant to think about, the original voice cast is all at least in their mid 70s if not their 80s at this point. As much as it is sad to think about, we have to be prepared for a time when we won’t be able to get new versions of the characters with those guys voicing them.

There's always AI. It's CRAZY how close that they can mimic a person's voice already. It isn't always dead on, but darn close. In the next few years I got a feeling that they're going to nail that.

So a movie quality version of the events from War for Cybertron & Fall of Cybertron games with the first movie being a prequel involving Optimus Primes origin story? I'm hyped for it! Bring on Grimlock & the Dinobots too, not to mention Ultra Magnus & Rodimus.

The best thing about this movie is that it finally has the opportunity to do true justice to the origin of Transformers and their massive history and lore. Very excited for what this film brings to the table.

It's took them all this time to figure out the cartoon had a decent storyline and to start again and use it . Finally!

Dark of the Moon Sentinel is a Villian I personally hold in the same regard as Palpatine or Thanos

So we'll see some bromance, how a soldier becomes a leader, and how a leader becomes a tyrant, friendships broken and lost. Because you can squeeze only so much into a movie (hope it's like 3h+).

Transformers Prime was peak Transformers. If this movie is connected to that somehow it would be amazing

I wanted to see the transformers take on the quintasons and overthrowing them would be a sight to see

I wonder how will this turn out. The Bayverse movies did rewrite the backstory of both Megatron, and Optimus, just as the history of the Cybertronian civil war. In the Baymovies Megatron was not a miner robot turned into a gladiator, who created the biggest revolution Cybertron have ever seen. In the Bayverse, Megatron was the lackey of the fallen one, a military leader. I love the origins of the Cybertronian civil war, Optimus, and Megatron as it was depicted in the comics. I'm not sure they will go that rout tho. It was a very complex story line. T_T Also I would like to see their friendship, it would make a great drama.

The movie should look like the CGI used in previous films. There is no reason to destroy it by going the animation route. After all, the whole cast are robots that will look best if lifelike CGI is used.

This is literally everything I've wanted from a Transformers movie ever since I watched the first one (og animated movie). Michael Bay's first couple were fun but nowhere near as interesting as an entire story on Cybertron it'self (IMO).

im not someone who cares about the humans in transformers films, i feel like they're good for grounding the plot as well as bringing a sense of urgency, but a film focusing entirely on cybertron is what ive been wanting more then anything from this franchise.

Thanks for this. This is not your usual theory of the upcoming feature. As a kid, 40 years ago, the origins were explained more accurately, as you have explained above. And yes, Megatron was a revolutionist and had the ability to forsee the future of Cybertron, knowing the awakening of Unicron. It was Megatronus Prime, aka The Fallen (Megatron's namesake), manipulated D16 to help him rid of his brethren. Hence Megatron's undoing against the upper caste. However, despite his tyranny unleashed causing the grand scales of things both on Cybertron and Earth, he wanted to rid his beloved planet from the unfairness and inequalities that the planet possess before him. In fact, Megatron was promoted to Military Commander of Cybertron (after his reign as the Gladiator of Kaon) to protect only the upper caste. He refused to do so, as he believed that all Cybertronians should have equal status, therefore defying Alpha Trion and his disciples, and eventually defying his bestie, Orion Pax! However, this is the thing... as we go through the TF timeline, you will see that Megatron defies any law or action on harming his people and the planet of Cybertron,... (for example: as Galvatron, he tries to defy Unicron). This is why I can relate to Megatron. He's trying to change the system and rule over Cybertron that he believes is corrupting the very essence of the TF universe ~ peace and harmony! Hopefully we get to see a different light on Megatron from this movie...

It’s gotta look like those original transformers films with the cgi, the animation makes it look like it’s for kids so they better not ruin it with animation
