It’s gonna be a real pain having to find a proper clearing and transforming back, reattaching those treads, those cables it tore off, and realigning itself so it won’t crush or shred its own parts. In some incarnations of transformers, the bots can quickly change within seconds. Reality transformers (as big as this guy) would have to take a few seconds maybe even minutes. Sounds like a vulnerable moment.

@@jollygreenjeff2640 truly i think that not the size, but the way it transforms would be unrealistic in a transformers movie, since it need to reattach it's ropes and regain stability. other than that i think it is quite good, but the size would indeed mean it will take longer to transform

I think once it transforms into its robot form it would loose the ability to transform back into the vehicle or aircraft it is untill it scans a new form i dont really know.

GurrenPrime Look for a "Bagger 288" video on youtube. There should be one that's a song, which has one line in it that refers to someone soon being "de-meated". That's what Angel Heartmann was referencing here. PS: The song is quite catchy aswell.

Tobias Reinhold I am fully aware of the song, but that doesn't change the fact that Optimus Prime doesn't have meat, and thus can't be de-meated. Now, Optimus Primal on the other hand is techno-organic and thus would likely be applicable to this scenario.

@@TCTheDS my man. This guy is like 4 times the size of devastator. Devastator is 120 feet tall and the bagger 288 is 311 feet tall and 705 feet long. This transformer gets a bit stubbier but chonkier from the transformation but he’s probably still at least 500 feet long and like 150 feet tall on all fours. I don’t think devastator can pull this one off my man

Michael bay: hah no.

Imagine trying to fight it. You’ve exploited it’s weakness of going underneath, then it just stands up. The bagger288 was 225m long and they share a similar length in both forms. So a 200m or 738 feet mechanical monster just towers above you before coming back down again and turning you and the area where you were standing into mist.

Devastator ain't got *NOTHING* on this guy. (I’d love if he had a name like “Earth-Eater” or something like that :D

Think of it: Devastator - Suction mouth Retractable claws (come out from his right hand) Turrets and tons of missiles Made out of 5-8 constructions, each with their own transformation (useful for group on raid) Bagger 288 - Fire breath Ramming body Sharp "mandibles" or lower jaw parts Big size advantage Vehicle modes - Devastator is made out of constructions, and only Scrapper could do some damage to the beast. The Bagger is known as the Dagger 288, where it can use its saw to an advantage, but it can't go down at an obtuse angle. It can only hit major areas at an acute angle.

I think it was pretty odd how the hands detached and then reattached to the entire whole of the creation, and the face was messed up by the massive block of machine in the side, but other than that, I think that is a great concept and transformation.

that was some top notch work and GREAT cinematography. Loved the sweeteners too, the dust, fire, etc. Very well done.

My eyeballs are so happy right now.

I did like that game and the vehicle this is made of is pretty much a more modern and way bigger version of those things in the Shanghai map from rotf game

Bigger. A Bagger 288 weighs about 13500 tonnes (14850+ tons), or about 9 times more than Devastator is supposed to be (according to wiki at least). There are even bigger vehicles out there though.

Well...in the bay movies i remember that chopper dude taking about a minute to Transform and they indeed tried shooting it but it seem most decepticon are simply too hard to be killed by normal ammunition and missiles most of the time
