It really is impressively quiet. I changed out the four interior caddy mounting screws for stainless on mine, in case it gets used as a wet vac. I picked up a better hose too as the one it ships with is pretty naff. Grab a 10' or 16' Centec hose, with adapters, if you plan on using tools with the vac. Antistatic is available if you live in an arid climate, but probably overkill. My main gripe is the bag attaches really poorly and will fall off or leak regularly. I put a zip tie around the collar where the bag mounts and clipped it flush as a temporary. Haven't improved on it yet. The yellow 12 gallon Shop Vac bags at Lowes are much better than the one it ships with and will fit this vac. Thought about getting another one as a dedicated miter saw vac but I already have too many vacuums. Didn't know there was a dust separator available. Thanks for the no-nonsense review. 👍🏼

Thank you for all that information. Good call on the screws. I might use my old one as a wet vac for now. I think this one will be dedicated for tools and woodworking. I actually just ordered a 20 ft rigid hose with adaptors. The current hose is to short and stiff. Great tip on the bags. I was kind of thinking that. The separator is hard to find, not stocked in alot of places. It works well so far. Thank you for watching!

I just ordered the dust separator and figured the hose would be short and not fit anything so I also ordered a can-tec 10ft hose that comes with several adaptors from 1 1/4 to 2 1/2".

You should of paired the vac in stainless. I have them a a pair.

When you had the separator upside down to put on the wheels (5:10 to 5:45) there was a bit of very light chain visible, with some sort of wire attached. I was wondering what it was.

I am surprised you caught that. That is something I was actually wondering myself. I looked it up and apparently it is for grounding the tank. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!

Well I constantly empty the separator, and as for the shop vac just check on the bag every once and awhile. Thanks for watching.
