The new RAV4 adopts Toyota’s latest multimedia system which features a larger,10.5-inch screen with a high-definition colour display.
The standard system provides cloud-based navigation that allows for accurate journey planning with information that’s constantly updated, plus live details of traffic and road events and how easy or hard it might be to find a parking place near your destination.
Thanks to the included four-year over-the-air “Smart Service” data package, customers can access Toyota’s latest multimedia and navigation systems without having to pair their smartphones to the vehicle.
The user experience is seamless with the accompanying MyT smartphone app, so customers can keep track of various vehicle information, such as driving analytics, fuel levels, warnings and “find my car” function. There’s also the time-saving convenience of being able to use the app to book service and maintenance appointments at Toyota centres.
Smartphone integration with Android Auto is available and for added convenience, wireless smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay is featured as standard.
There are more ways to communicate with your car using the new on-board voice agent that will respond to spoken requests to adjust the climate control, choose multimedia options, make a phone call, or open and close the windows. “Hey Toyota” is designed to understand conversational speech, so if you say “I’m cold” it will respond by closing the windows or raising the air conditioning temperature.
A further, optional multimedia system is also available, offering additional functions. It introduces an embedded navigation system that will operate when no data connection is available. It also recognises highway signs and can provide local weather alerts and notify the driver of restricted LEZs (low emission zones).

On my car (a VW Golf) you only see directions/map if you’ve set a route, otherwise it shows a compass similar to the one shown here, so maybe the Toyota system works the same way as VW in that regard?

What about driver assist to keep you from hitting the car in front of you? What about keeping you in your lane? If you’re T spills what about the car breaking and an emergency

It is there on the right or left pane, just when you do not have a destination selected it shows compass, but when you select a destination, it shows a next turn guide etc.

@@piotradacha9571My new 2024 Toyota Dynamic Navigation is absolutely shocking. My 2022 was brilliant. It’s stuck in night aerial mode and not showing multi lanes properly and so many mistakes in directions. It’s unbelievably bad. A saving grace is the 360, front and back images are crystal clear and no ounce of fuzziness. So yes, going reverse is a breeze now. I could write a lot more. The guy doing this review is hell of a nice guy and I understand he’s gonna say the positives. He’s a wonderful reviewer to be fare. Any way I’m gonna take it to another dealer and see if Toyota can download another internal navigation system. My other info screen did a million times more. Backwards step Toyota. Cheers.
What trim is that one mine is 2024 rav4 xle premium and does not have that round nob next to the stich shift just buttons

i dont see this in my 2024 xle gas either
Have a 2024 RAV4 XLE 8 inch screen and it does not have a lot of these functions. Plus the sound system is not that good sounding. No really good plug and play amp upgrades out yet. Stero shop recommend not cutting wires because it will void the warranty. Checked price at dealer just for the radio. list is $7500 for a new unit if something goes wrong with an upgrade voiding the warranty.

True - map on the cockpit is visible during drive if I am using Toyota navigation. It is not visible if I use apple car.

I really do like and respect Toyota vehicles, but it is a shame that in some Europe countries you have to pay extra for navigation, which is btw bullshit, it is mostly non-usable. It costs around 1200 euros. They should really include navigation feature by default for this car which isn't cheap at all. They also should integrate navigation between two circles in front display just like other manufactures do. Everything else is just perfect on Toyotas.

In my it says it is based on HERE maps, works well however, with TMC it even takes traffic into account. Usually I use Waze with Android Auto, but the presentation of details and guidance I find better in the built-in navi
There is no information for any design updates for 2024.... This is just click bait
The basic new infotainment really sucks in AUDIO QUALITY.

The Fully Digital Cockpit is a expensive thing that could fail. This is also a distraction when Driving. I should be aware of what is going on around me. Not focused on customizing the Digital Screens. The same can be said for the Infotainment Screen / System. Can I have an option with out the Infotainment system.
Very bad presentation lots of tapping the screen and no detail of each selection, fast and poor
I just bought a Toyota RAV4-Hybrid 2024 (15 miles on it) and had a problem as soon as I left the dealer. I can't connect Apple Carplay to it. It always shows " Apple car connection error". I took it to 2 different Toyota Dealers for repair and they all gave me the same answer that many Toyota Rav-4 2024 Hybrid have this problem and they could not fix it even if they replaced the radio head with a new one. They are waiting for an answer from Toyota company. I wonder if anyone is having the same problem as me? if yes (how to fix it). Thanks.

He’s talking about a Corolla? This is not my dashboard and he’s going to fast and he’s not explaining what some of those “safety features” are… This is supposed to be a 2024 RAV4. I don’t have the patience to try and listen to him.
