Another amazing video I've had my limited for just over two weeks now and still haven't used dynamic navigation. Apple carplay works seamless but I might give it a try after watching this video!

This was another excellent video. I like how you used the heads up display at dusk and on your garage door. Good use of the Navigation system.

I watch all your videos all the way through. I learn something each time or I learn "dang it, I should of got that option". 😂 Just fun to watch.

I just picked up my 2021 Highlander platinum last night. There is so much to learn! I kept my 2005 Highlander to give to one of my kids.. One feature I already experienced was the ability to listen to a text and also respond verbally.

Thanks Jeff. My Venza Limited is spending it's first night in my garage. These videos are great for learning how the stuff works. I had ordered a 2021 Rav4 Prime in June for October delivery but the factory issues in Japan pushed delivery to after the model year changeover. So delivery would have been "sometime" in 2022 and I would have had to redo my order. Dealership just happened to get a Ruby Red Venza Limited in on Monday that wasn't pre-sold. I liked the styling better than the Rav4. Hated to lose the PHEV feature but with 40mpg city it won't make a lot of difference.

@@krecikowi I'm on a rare road trip right now, 400 miles each way. At 75mph with econ mode on I'm getting 36.5mpg. Around town it's 38-40mpg. Best mileage is in stop-and-go traffic. A road trip the day after Xmas (won't do that again) it took 9 hours on what should have been a 6 hour trip. Lots of slow traffic. I got 41.5mpg. Keep in mind I just today passed 10,000 miles despite owning the Venza for 29 months (August 2021). Retired and don't drive much, the last few weeks have been the exception due to family issues.

Hi Jeff,I've watched your videos and it seems like you have a pretty good knowledge of Toyota options. I have a 2021 Camry XSE with Navigation. GM has a feature where you call up various POIs and the screen provides a list of upcoming or past locations with a distance from your existing location while driving. I foundToyota just provides a location on the map. Am I able to list on the Camry like the GM feature? Thx,Mike P

Jeff, It will be interesting to see if your new Venza trains you to be a more efficient driver. Right now I sense a battle between your lead foot and the variety of displays urging you to keep calm.

Your video was helpful in trying to figure out the different settings on my 2020 Toyota Avalon LTD. However, one of the settings you didn't' cover in depth, was the compass. When I purchased the car used a month or so ago, the compass appeared on the HUD for about 2 days and then I haven't been able to figure out how to get it back on the HUD even thigh the setting for the compass is ON. There are some suggestion on the internet on how to get the setting back like using the cruise control setting on the right of the steering wheel and then toggling with the toggle switches below it, which I haven't yet tried. Should that work, or is there another setting to turn the compass back on? Also, will the compass direction show on the rear view mirror when it appears on the HUD, because it doesn't now.

I live in AZ and yesterday I just purchased the Camry LXE Hybrid. What I discovered you can not see the Heads Up Display while wearing sunglasses! Otherwise, it is an incredible and beautifully designed vehicle.

Is there a way to adjust the hud left and right? I just bought a 2021 Avalon and the way I sit when I drive the hud could be moved a little to the left on the windshield because the edge of the recess cuts off the display. There is every other way to adjust it other than left and right.

Is the same system available on the Venza 2021XLE also ?

When on the Highway is it possible to removed the Exit and POI information on my navigation screen? I have been trying to disable this feature since it is always on and takes up so much of my screen, I find it distracting.

The RSA feature is not offered in Canada, would be nice if it was

Can you make the navigation full screen only for the map? Like the Lexus where it takes up the whole real state

Does the HUD shows navigation with Toyota navigation or works with Google maps via Apple car play/ android auto ?

Does the screen pinch down. It seems like you are viewing a mile or two of area. I would like to see more area when traveling. There is wide border, is that part of the 12.3 or is the actual viewing area 12.3. The new Tundra and Lexus screen is what would be nice in the venza.

*Are you using Satellite GPS or hook up your phone? I don't know yet if I have Satellite & what I need to get it if I don't. I've been hooking up my phone* Sharon in SC

How to add another country on the sat navigation?

Perhaps update as to how to display the compass on the HUD. Doing a quick internet search this is a common question. It appears you can’t display the lake departure info and compass at same time…but haven’t had a chance to mess with it on my Camry. Toyota shouldn’t let us select them both…should be either/or it appears.

Hey Jeff I have a 2019 camry se from Fred Anderson and I have to use apple car play which I’m not big fan of could they add me integrated navigation to my Camry it even has a map bottom. I really want integrated navigation like my 4 runner pls is there any way I could add this system. Could Fred Anderson program it into the Jps.

I don’t believe that’s an option available. Yes I realize the map button is there. From what I understand you need the premium audio when you buy it and it comes with integrated nav. Sorry you don’t like Apple CarPlay I love mine!!

@@Toyotajeff not that I don’t like apple CarPlay it just when I use google map it requires cellular and so sometime when I’m driving in a another city and the cellular cuts of it stops my navigation while in the 4Runner it works at all conditions.

Hope so too. At the moment it’s only offered on the rav4 prime XSE premium fully loaded. Same goes for a power passenger seat

A concern regarding of my Prius 2020 fuel efficiency. I used to get 54 -57 mpg in highway at summer time now in winter I’m getting 38 mpg, is it normal or something went wrong during tire installation or I choose wrong rims and tires. Please anyone can let me know how to improve fuel economy it’s really getting worse and worse I don’t know what to do I’m so pissed off. Correct me guys I really need help.

Rayzen........I believe fuel economy will deteriorate in the winter in with ALL Hybrids due to the batteries being so cold.

Just press the map button by the touchscreen. If it says please download the navigation app, then you don’t have it. If you see a map in front of you without connecting your phone, then you have the dynamic navigation

@@gia9298. I don’t think so. Because it’s more complicated lol. It’s not simply a plug and play. Because the navigation affects both the touchscreen, HUD, and gauge cluster. Plus strangely getting navigation also adds a compass readout on the gauge cluster and hud

What happens to the dynamic navigation after 3 years does it just become regular navigation

Adding to that, how does the dynamic nav get updates from the cloud? Do I need to sign up for the data hotspot in order to be able to pick up the cloud map updates? Or is the dynamic navigation able to get OTA updates without signing up for the hotspot?

I just bought a 2021 Toyota Camry XLE AWD and the Dynamic Navigation comes free on your car for a full year after you purchase it. However it’s considered a “Navigation Subscription” and a fee will be associated with it once the trial expires. Same with Sirius XM, Safety Connect, Destination Assist, and Remote Connect. I hope this helps but the Dynamic Navigation is an amazing feature that is worth the cost after the trial expires. I do think with this feature if you pay the fee it updates similar to the XM radio etc.

Yeah I couldn’t tell you what each region has available. Each region has certain options and selections available that are possibly not available in other regions

You don’t show how to manipulate this features on the steering wheel… you just talking and we don’t know what you are touching…. Can you do another video….?😊
