I ordered all my drops yarn from wool warehouse and they’ve all arrived within 7-10 days to Georgia, USA, after placing the orders

I've never heard of combination knitting before. I learned something new. I will definitely try this as my ribbing is not very good. I would love a video on this.

GM Amanda Wow your test knit sweater you are wearing is beautiful and the one you are knitting the pattern is gorgeous … you learned so many new things with it When I was young all pieces of our sweaters were knit in pieces then mattress stitch Now I’ve learned last summer neck down and socks … so we all learn so much in things we knit … what a lovely world of knits we can get lost in 😊🥰

I've tried a few different notebooks for keeping a knitting journal and I just never was consistent with putting all the information in. Last year my husband found an app called Pocket Knitting. I've been using that ever since. I can put everything I need info wise for every project plus photos.

Those cards are great idea! Only problem I see is the fact that different colors have different feel sometimes. It seems that white yarns tend to be thinner. Oh and fun fact about Drops Karisma - some colors you can wet felt, some you don’t - I know it is superwash yarn but I tried 😅

agreed! i tried knitting ribbing inside out and had a hard time deciding exactly which stitch to make the double stitch and whether that stitch would be a knit or purl. couldn’t wrap my head around it

As you asked, as far as I know this still is 'just' drop shoulder. A set in sleeve requires some shaping to the top of the sleeve, so it fits into a straight (non-dropped) shoulder. So it actually says more about the shaping of the sleeve than about if you seamed it in or not. But then, seaming in a sleeve that well still requires skill, and yours is especially well done for a first time!

Yes I think you’re correct! Great explanation, thank you!

I'd agree with the other comment that the cardigan sleeve is still a drop shoulder - a set-in sleeve tends to be more shaped around the armhole and sits on the edge of the shoulder rather than extending down. I am determined to never be afraid of seaming so I deliberately look out for patterns that have it 😂 I sew as well so it's probably quite transferable. I've learnt that I prefer seaming to picking up stitches, especially with a textured pattern! I've not made a Hannah Sandler pattern before but I have a few of hers in my favourites, I really like the look of them. Interesting about the Biches et Buches colour bleeding - I've never used them but I feel that they're eye-wateringly expensive. I've knitted one of their shawl patterns before and worked out that I would probably have to sell a kidney to afford the recommended yarn!

I think you’re right! Thank you! And yes! Keep that seaming bravery! Love it! The Biches et Buches mohair was actually not horrible price wise, but still very disappointing with the bleeding. Haven’t looked much into their other bases though.

Would the project binder stand better if you took some of the extra pages out? Less weight may put less stress on the snap. Thanks for sharing your summer knitting excitement! I'm dying to cast on a summer tee, but first I'm making myself finish the baby things for my next grandchild due...in 20 days. Yikes!

I’ve been fiddling with it some, and I think the issue is that the cover is stiff, and maybe not originally “made” to fold that way. I think the more I do it the more it’ll loosen up, I just hope it doesn’t crack the cover because of it.

Hi Amanda ... All your knits are amazing. I would love to knit your Opal Sweater but since I live in Florida the summer knits you showcased intrigue me. I think I will try Rebecca Clow's tank top when it is released. You mentioned that you will probably do videos of you making that project. Those would be so helpful. Your idea of doing the bottom, neck-line, and edging around the arms in double knitting sounds like a good idea. Every video I can find talks about double knitting with two different color yarns. Do you know of a video link that I could use as a reference? Thanks in advance
