    I love the foot pump idea, just a fact that simpler is better. I am also going all induction for cooking.

    Hope you have a lot of battery power and large wattage solar charging to support induction. It is nice for the lack of flame and propane. Don’t forget the cost of induction ready pots and pans.

    Thanks, JY. Yes, for her wants a solar 200 amp power battery no problem! Induction cook so fast that it’s not going to be on that long. I already bought the pots and pans. Got an amazing deal for just $49 is amazing. I like pump because electric pump wastewater and you have to carry more water four times more for every function. Plus, like you said simplicity, and only the water you want. Have a great evening.

    Hi Scott, a foot pump to save so much water about four times less than an electric pump, less weight, less water, less malfunctions! Induction is the way to go. Thank you for watching.

    Awesome camper. Does the unit itself come with built-in straps to secure it to your bed? its your truck bed 5.5?

    Thinking about going with this camper. Also have gladiator. Did you have to do anything with suspension to accommodate the weight? Do you think it can sleep 2 adults comfortably?

    Taken much of dusty trails? How well does the camper do as far as dust intrusion? Thanks for the post! Thumbs 👍🏻

    It’s totally sealed with auto weatherstripping, and nothing gets in like one of those GFC style shells and dust blows in from everywhere, through the truck bed and everywhere else. The major plus is you can take the camper off at-will and have your truck to do whatever else you want to do. Of course, if you were driving around with the top open, which no one would do. The outside gets plenty dirty, though . But who cares one power washing you’re good to go.

    You really have a nice setup,. I really like the lightweight truck campers like yours, but my only question is living in central TX, there is no way you are camping locally in the summer with no ac, correct?

  • @John-U-Can-Do-It

    There is AC made for tents and other applications. About $500-$600 and it’ll work with 400 W of solar, of course at a park with electricity.

    I was quiet intersted in the overall design of the pop-up box version that you discontinued. This new wedge shaped model just doesn't appeal to me.

  • @John-U-Can-Do-It

    @John-U-Can-Do-It

    There are just too many advantages to the wedge shape. Wind when it’s open wind when it’s closed. Catching more solar, The extra cabinets and much more. Good luck in your search, but I highly recommend the Roverking. I am a customer-only.

    Any concerns with how hot the camper may get while parked or driving while the top is down? The only window in the box is the small one in the door, which probably wouldn't be left open while driving in order limit exhaust fumes.

  • @John-U-Can-Do-It

    @John-U-Can-Do-It

    No, I’ve had it outside in 90° plus weather and inside the camper with everything closed, it wasn’t near 80°. As far as exhaust fumes inside, it has a regular tailgate that is up during transport. I have a carbon monoxide detector and it didn’t go off. No one rides inside the camper when the top is down. I don’t know who would actually be inside when it is only about 4’ tall when the top isn’t popped open. When the top is popped open, it’s over 8 feet tall inside, which is plenty of room to roam about . Again, it is not designed for anybody to ride or be in in the back while the camper is closed. I hope that helps with your question. Adventure on!

    @@John-U-Can-Do-It Thanks for your perspective. I've traveled with dogs in all of my truck campers just as I did while I owned the first version, so that would have to be a concession going forward.

    Howdy from Texas! They are 17,500 base RoverKing.CA it is all aluminum, except for the tent portion, which is thick, military grade rip stock and double mesh windows, and I love the clear UV plastic window, The top is over 3/8 inch thick. I like the fact that I can take it off whenever I want and have my truck back to do whatever I want. 520 pounds-basic and then whatever you put on it from there. The four solar panels battery cabling probably added 100 pounds; the water I use 8 gallons probably added another 90 pounds. Food 50 pounds (including dog food). So with odds and sides it probably weighs around 800 pounds when it has my needs-stuff on it.

    It's quite impressive, I like it! Did you install the diesel heater, solar panel, sink, and interior storage doors on your own? The interior layout seemed different from what I observed on Roverking's website. Could you please provide clarification on the modifications that have been made? I'm looking forward to watching your awesome content! Thank you.

    Hi Jack. I did the diesel heater the solar panel sink and interior storage doors also course the cabling and installation of the solar by myself. Rover king offers a diesel set up that they put in the same cabinet; I just did it myself. I’m also going to put in a removable cabinet that will go underneath my sink so that I can take it off when I not going on a super long trip and I can fold down the sink counter, to have more seating area when you’re bringing friends along. The fridge could be placed in the rear seat area of my Jeep because I did my own rear seat delete you can look up what I did. I made a tiny short video on that so that I have more storage and space. there’s so many advantages over other models of these type of campers. I like that I can take it off whenever I want to on stilts and put it away in my garage. That way my truck is mine when I want it and an over-lander, when I want it. Thanks a bunch and please tell your friends I can always help you guys out when you’re ready to build. Just giving suggestions.

    Ask INFO@ROVERKING.CA they have the specs on their website. All you have to do is measure your truck bed. They can guide you though. I’m almost certain it does but you should check.
