Thank you all for watching and leaving such kind words! ❤️🙏 A bit of information I forgot to share: the small envelopes were 3x4 inches. I made them from 6x6 papers with my envelope punch board. The outer pages were slightly larger, I'd say 3.5 inches by 4. Ish. Sorry, I forgot to write down exact measurements because I always do everything by feel 😅 hope that helps!

Hey! Just wanted to say that the main reason I’m subscribed to and enjoy your content so much is because you’re chatty! It makes you relatable and the level of talent you have attainable. I struggle to watch other crafty KZreadrs because they don’t feel... relatable? There’s a lack of connection when I watch them. Anyways, you’re a big reason I got back into pen palling and crafting. So, thank you! 💜

Vivian I actually watch your videos while in bed next to my husband. He is by no means a crafter. But he loves hearing you chat because his grandparents came to the states from Holland/Netherlands in the 1920s and your accent gives him wonderful memories of them. I love how genuine you are. You keep being you. Because we love you being you. Teresa from the USA 🇺🇸

Let me be honest, Vivian! I first fell in love with your channel because of how real it felt. And your talks and chattiness made it feel so realistic and relatable. I felt safe since it felt like I knew you. I know there's this whole music trend and crafting aesthetic trend going on rn but I love that you care to be original and tell us about your life. And if anyone has a problem with that, they just have to keep their phone volume down and see just the crafting. I love everything that you're doing rn Vivian, please don't change it because someone else wants you to

One of the reasons I like your videos, is because you chat through the crafting. It makes your videos a lot more lively. I mostly click away when people use music, as I tend to get distracted. And I love the fact that you are so open and never shy away from possible sensitive subjects. Your videos work, because you are authentic and make your videos like that. Keep doing what you're doing. Don't let that voice get you down. Just keep being you. You can't please everyone and people who don't like the videos, will leave anyway. I just don't understand why they feel the need to announce their leaving. I hope that you will stay true to yourself

I definitely will stay true to myself, thank you for the positive words! It's such a joy to read that people enjoy what I enjoy making/sharing so much, and to connect with people while doing so. You're right, we can't please everyone - but I'll always try. Haha! But it's really nice to read that so many people feel the same way about this as I do, I always get distracted with the music only, too.

Girl, please keep your talking in! I'm here for your chatty videos! I've been binge watching all of your videos and I love your channel because it's different than the rest! Please don't let comments like that get to you. I understand you. I can be negative too and I let negativity get to me all the time. At the same time, you are allowed to be upset by negative comments. But don't let it drown out the positive ones. I wish you the very best and I feel that we are very similar people with how our minds work. You're great and I hope my comment can encourage you! 💕

You're right, it's okay to be upset by certain things as long as we pick ourselves up afterwards and focus on the good. That's something I'm learning, and I'm going to pick up my habit of writing daily, little positive things again. Thank you for watching and for being so sweet, enjoy your weekend!

I love your chattiness and how you are able to talk about anything, whether it is related to the craft you are doing or sharing a piece of your day. To be honest, I save your videos for days that are not so good and I needed a boost or on days that I just want to shut my mind out. Your chattiness that other people dislike is the same chattiness that most people feel comforted with. Going to keep subscribing and looking forward to your content. P.S. Hey! I don’t leave comments, I’m a lurker, but I wanted to tell you, YOUR videos are predominantly responsible for me getting into making Happy Mail, and then I found a sticker swapping club with a great sticker family of nearly 100 people, from that I got into journaling, bujos, and art journaling, and now I’m experimenting with book binding which is so much fun! This is across about a year now at least worth of transformation and growth. Your channel has helped me to evolve as a creative person, and I needed your videos at this time in my life after becoming a new mum and losing who I was as an individual. Please don’t start playing music, it drives me crazy, I always mute the music and then quickly lose interest in the video. Your chatting is engaging, it helps me understand what you’re doing and why you’re doing it. I like feeling like I’m CONNECTING with someone on a creative level instead of being a pure consumer. I also follow you on Insta! Please keep chatting, it keeps me sane! And thank you for everything you’ve inspired in my life Xxx

Hey Heather! Haha, being a lurker is totally OK! But then your comment made me really happy, so thanks for taking the time to write to me. I'm so happy you found happy mail! ANd a fun sticker swapping community! Sounds like we're making a bit of the same evolution, although I started with bullet journaling and then penpalling and journalling from there ;D But that's all really really good to hear. And I'm glad you enjoy the chatting - I'm much the same with the music, I start doing something else and forget to watch OR get crazy of hearing the same, repetitive music the entire time. But it's really nice to read that you like it too. Stay inspired, crafty and healthy Heather, have a lovely day!

Vivian, the reason I first subscribed to you was because I felt a connection. I felt this connection because you talked about everything, positive and negative. You talked about the fact that you struggled with anxiety, I started a medication and therapy because I no longer see my anxiety as a thing that I need to “just get over” because it’s not my fault, I did that because you talked about your journey. I feel happy when I hear you talk about things you’re excited about. Your videos are an escape for me when I have a bad day as your voice is so soothing and I always know that you’re being genuine. The amount you talk lets me know that when you’re doing a review, you’re being honest with your responses. I understand your brains response to the comment, but I hope you’re brain also lets through the fact that so many people are here for the you that you are right now because we’ve grown with you through your stories and love the you that you are now. ❤️xx

Katelyn, this means so much. Honestly. I just read a very negative comment about my talking and while I 100% agree with you (this is my thing, if you don't like it.... The Paper Letter Blog yes unfortunately the brain likes to focus on the negative. It makes me feel almost honoured or something (not really sure exactly the word for it) that my comment affected you in such a way and that it came at a time that you needed it. I hope my words continue to be uplifting and help push away the negatives.

Hello, I am the same, focusing on the negative when so much positive is around. I sometimes make a tiny plus symbol on my thumb to remind me to focus on the positive. My son studied anthropology and told me once that for thousands of years our brains were focused on surviving....you know...don’t get eaten while trying to get food. Thousands of years focusing on that and a couple hundred on the positive....gonna take some time I think. You are amazing, stay true to yourself! We love your channel! Thank you!

Vivian 💖 i love your voice overs. Videos with just music are not 'enough' for me to cope with my anxiety but you are so generous with your story and your art and your life, and I am so grateful. If someone does have constructive criticism would you prefer not to hear it at all to avoid the risk of making you feel this way, or is there a way you'd like to have that brought up? I feel like KZread comments aren't the best place for it as it's such a public forum and people can jump on with their own opinions and it can get out of control. Sending love and beautiful video!!

I am the same, that's why I started creating chatty videos as well. They're fun to take your mind of things, and I am happy my videos can do that too. As for constructive critisism, I think I can "take" it: I learn every day. What is difficult is when people speak for "all people", as in: you will get more subscribers when... Or: less people will be annoyed if.... We don't know that, now do we :P The people who like chatty videos might leave if I change things, but it does get me thinking. Anyway, I try to find a balance in taking comments to heart and changing things and simply brushing them off. Thank you for your imput!

I really identify with what you feel regarding focusing on that one negative comment. I enjoy listening to your voice-overs while watching you create with your crafts. Your voice is very therapeutic and relaxing to me. I don't mean that to sound weird or awkward, by the way. Lol :-) I enjoy your videos. Try not to let other people's criticisms or negative comments get you down. You are amazing at the crafts you do and you have a sweet personality. I hope you and your boyfriend and families are staying safe and well during this pandemic. God bless you, friend.

I absolutely love your project Vivian💙 I also had that with less positive/ negative comments. But I no longer pay any attention to them. I don't reply to the negative hate ones. And if someone just doesn't like what I am doing and gives me feedback on why, I tell them that I understand their point of view. Depending on what the feedback is I implement it or do nothing with it. For example, people told me that they want real time craft videos. I don't do real time videos, I don't like watching them. I don't like making them. I have made some in the past, but that was by my choice. I think you understand what I am trying to say. If you want to see real time, than I am not your girl. And that is okay. So what I am trying to say. I understand that it gets to you, but try to be confident about the content that you are making. Your videos are fun to watch, because you have fun making them. Feedback is good, but it shouldn't make you change your videos. Unless you agree with it for a 100% or it gives you new positive ideas on how to improve. Be kind to yourself 💙 KZread is a learning process and exposing yourself like this is aswell. Be confident Vivian! We love you for who you are💙

Thank you Kyra! I am getting a lot better at ignoring the mean ones, but it's the constructive feedback ones that still get to me. I keep thinking, what if they're right? And I also know very well that if I did things differently, I could reach and please a lot more people. But then I also know that I'd lose interest, lose my passion for the channel and what I like to think is my spark. I may have a smaller community (still large) but now it's all people that enjoy what I enjoy doing: what more could I ask for right? It's a learning experience, and talking about it with like-minded people really helps. And yes, I totally get you! There's plenty of creators on here creating that kind of content, so why should you be another one to add to the pile? Especially if you don't enjoy doing real time content. Neither do I, I take waaaayyyy too long for everything hahaha 😂 I'm taking your words to heart Kyra, and I'm getting more confident every day!

@@ThePaperLetterBlog I am not sure that if you changed you would reach more people. A lot of us like to watch KZreadrs for their personality aswell, not just the crafting. At least, that is my opinion and what I notice in my audience. They love watching us, because we love what we do. I totally understand that you would lose interest if you would change it. So would I. I make videos, because I love making them the way I do. And it is the same as in real life, you don't like everyone and not everyone likes you. That is completely okay! It is just that we notice it more, because we are so out there. And yes, it is your spark that I am watching you :) I love your crafting, but that is not the only reason I watch. I mean, I put you on for your chatting while I work LOL. I believe that this is the strength of our videos and channels. We stay true to ourselves. No one is waiting for another person doing the same thing as 50 other crafters. I mean, you already saw that LOL. Why should you watch me then? So, what I am trying to say. Do what you love and it will show through your videos :) I love the passion you have for making them, for your snail mail, everything. It is true and honest and that is why I love you and watch you :)

The flip book turned out so cute! Reminds me of a credit card holding folder. Our country is in lock down. The mail is not working (& that’s good wrt this pandemic). I hope you get the unemployment compensation. And hey keep making chatting video! I LOVE chatty videos because I watch them while doing my chores or journaling... it makes me feel someone is there with me doing stuff. Also, that comment made me think - for example watching a Kawaii themed video saying why do u make such cute stuff (because they prefer vintage 🤷🏻‍♀️). It’s ok! Where will we all chatty video lovers go if everyone does only non-chatty versions 🙃

I knw I'm late, I just wanted to let you know that I don't always listen to what u say, sometimes I even fast forward ur fast forwarded video, bcz I just want to see the craft and get inspired and I'm on a tight timeline. But I love hearing you talk. It makes it feel more personal. I hate when they just put music and very chill. I don't always pay attention to what you're saying but I like hearing you talk in the background. I feel like you have a community here, even though I don't consider myself a very active one in this community 😂 Just makes it feel more personal and warm. Also for ppl who don't like you talking, they can just mute the video and put some background music. I don't believe you being chatty is enough reason to not watch a crafty mail being made. But each their own I guess 🙆
