【New station！KIX airport to Osaka】by limited express Haruka
The new platform at JR Osaka Station opened on Mar.18, 2023.
Until now, access from KIX has been via Shin-Osaka on the Kanku-Kaisoku Rapid, Limousine Bus, Nankai Train, and also via Shin-Osaka on the Limited Express Haruka, but now the Limited Express Haruka and Limited Express Kuroshio will stop at the new platform, making it the shortest direct connection from Osaka Station to KIX.
The boarding time will be reduced by approx. 20 minutes from the Kanku Rapid, and the train will arrive at the airport in as little as 47 min.
I immediately boarded the limited express train "Far" from the "Umekita Underground Exit," which is also the topic of conversation with the face recognition ticket gate machine.
Please refer to the following information on how to buy tickets and the walking route from the new platform to the central ticket gate!
*Addendum: After the fare review on Apr.2023, the regular one-way adult fare is now 2,940 yen and 1,460 yen one-way for children during the regular season. The regular fare is +200 yen during peak season, -200 yen during off-peak season, and +400 yen during peak season.

Hello! When you get to Osaka station, and I don't have IC card, do I go through the normal blue gates (not facial recognition device) by showing the ticket I bought at KIX? ありがとうございました！

Hello! Thank you for watching! The gates where ticket can be inserted are also lined up in the same place. Don't forget to pick up your ticket when you put it in and it will come out.
Tennoji or Osaka station - two stops the Haruka does. For further transport does any of these stations two have escalator or elevator access to the Loopline platforms?

When boarding the Haruka from Tennoji Station, board from platform 15. All platforms have elevators. Have a nice trip!

ICOKA card holders can purchase an express ticket only for ￥1,730 (regular season). However, the ICOKA card must be charged with at least ￥1,210 for the ticket. There is also a discount service called "ICOCA & HARUKA". Basically, the tickets are sold as a set, but ICOCA holders can purchase only HARUKA discount tickets. Yes, I think 10 minutes is enough. Originally, there is a passageway connecting platform 11 and platforms 21-22, but it is currently under construction and therefore impassable. Once you go down the stairs to the next platform 9-10, you can use the passage leading to platform 21-22. For example, SUICA and ICOCA are transportation system IC cards. If you do not have one, you can purchase one from a ticket machine or at the ticket office in Japan.
