I've own the gen 1 of that transmitter for some time now. I use it on my crawlers only since there are some rough locations I run them. The touch was a little sensitive but had to get use to it. You don't need no stink'en manual🤣😂

I've had this transmitter for quite some time now but I've literally only bound it to my Losi DB Pro, but since I've installed a 70kg servo I'm my Super Rock Rey, I need to bind it to my rugged to get the full steering throw out of it. I gave my brother my new DX5C because I seen the orange DX5 Rugged and I liked the look of it. Becides, he needed it anyways to have something to bind to the Super Baja Rey I bought for him.

@@rcguygarage Yeah, it can be a pain in the butt, still better than waiting for beeps or watching for blinking lights as far as adjusting trims and such. Like anything, with practice comes knowledge. The DX8 is easier to use but understanding one of those will help and vice versa.

Right! I'm just not very good with quirks I usually don't have the patience for that I think I kind of knew I was getting in over my head

Hey man I'm trying to find the orange one with the smooth touch pad all I can find is the ones with the old style recessed touch pad buttons?

That port is to upgrade that radio with a Spektrum usb! I'm sure it comes updated!

Since you've had this transmitter, have you done a rollout for the dbxle 2.0 for the speed reading?

Bought it and tossed it into my tool box screen is very LAME

FYI that transmitter will pair with most DSM/DSM2 receivers like come with Losi RTR’s and some ARRMA’s

No reciever cause all I needed was the transmitter but they do sell with receiver also and yes capacitive touch now BUT I have mechanics hands so it'll take a bit to get used to I guess. Screen could be better.

Lol Definitely a high tech transmitter and obviously there’s going to be some reading and learning going to have to happen so you can figure things out , lol and I’m sure the reading and learning thing won’t be a one time deal either ! But I do know that countdown timer is for planes and drones that have smaller batteries and you can only have them run for a certain amount of time for the lipo cutoff and it just helps you make sure your safe and get on the ground with time to spare , plus it’s for saving the amount of time for the lipo cutoff of each separated unit you set up in the memory so it stores it and you don’t have to remember the settings for each unit as it’ll be stored !! But definitely a cool Transmitter I wish most top Rc companies would do with their brand , at least one special Transmitter and they could also do a normal Transmitter for those not to serious Rc enthusiasts !! NEVER even ended up doing anything with that remote hahahahah The GT% and The RadioLink RC6GS are my GO TO radios now

I think you can replace those batteries with a small lipo

I tried that and fried mine.

I bought the black with the receiver package, has the new touchpad 🤷‍♂️🤔.. Its ok, fortunately it's cheap. Nowhere near premium gear, at this price point its disposable. Biggest benefit is the info spektrum smart receiver sends data to your spektrum transmitter. No back light🙎‍♂️, if your old like me, grab your 🔍🔎👓 if it's not bright daylight... you get the idea. Replaced my ✋💸 Futaba, that legit fell on its side and the screen went black 🔪🔪🤬😡.

Actually so far I have complaints about it but these might be personal complaints because I have whats called mechanic hands the touchscreen sucks the LCD screen sucks cause the tether thing gets in the way of operating the touchpad so yeah I'm not liking it so far and for the point blank fact that I'll have to read a damn manual in order to operate it

Give it a bit of time, you'll get accustomed to the interface soon. I will admit that the screen could be better, if I could change anything about the radio I would add a backlight so it's easier to see in daylight, but thats just me being picky. You'll dig the radio more once you start using it.
