Hey man, I am planning to make a speargun over the winter. Your videos are really helpful and interesting. Do you think it would be hard to use a similar system but with a bullpup design with the trigger further forward and the release mechanism at the rear? using a linkage of sorts? I haven't really seen any spearguns like that. I'm not sure if there is a reason why.

Just finished watching all your spear gun videos an there great!! Why anyone would buy one of those cheap ones when they can build something the way you did I'll never understand!! This type of product only increased in family value over time an should be something that's given to a son or grandson!! I'd love to get a copy of your prints if possible, though I doubt I have the patience to put almost a hundred hours into it I'm sure I can get some family members involved an make it into a family project.

Hello MegaMasterpat, i´m always amazed and humbled when reading comments like yours. It´s a very sad thing that nowadays lots of people just don´t care or just lost the ability of using simple tools to make things with their own hands. Prints will no be possible but I can give you some overall dimensions for it. - The trigger housing dimensions= 13x30x65mm, wall thickness: 2mm Trigger and Sear= 5mm thick. All made from 316 grade stainless steel Some of my channel viewers told me, that by using any free screen recorder program to take "screen shots" from some of my videos, and then using a image editing program like "PAINT" to scale the images to get the right sizes. Watch the video "Roller Speargun Design Model" kzread.info/dash/bejne/kaWFuql-l9qboJs.html at 1:03 is possible to see a side view of the trigger machanism. Overall dimensions of the spearguns. The roller speargun: 1200mm long (end to end) 950mm from the center of the rollers to the edge of the trigger pocket 50mm wide --------- Traditional speargun, 1200m long 950mm from the edge of the rubber bands hole to the trigger pocket 50mm wide from the but plate to the end of the trigger pocket and tapering down to 40mm at the tip (muzzle) Thanks for the comment and for watching my videos.

All made from 316 stainless steel I´m very confident about this design, but I need to field test it, over along period of time before making it available. Hello Kristian Arnvig, I need to finish the spearguns first, then field test it for a long period of time to guarantee that it works and is reliable and most important that will be safe to use!. I´m constantly making changes as I building it, some times it looks good on paper, but not very pratical to do it for real! One of the spearguns will be a "roller speargun" at the moment i´m working on the CAD model! I sugest to any one interessed in making a speargun, to download the CAD program "Google Sketchup" is free and very easy to use! then start making a model base on all the information from my videos. For now the videos are the only thing that i can share! Thanks for watching my videos!

Hello Dejonson Pererira - The trigger housing dimensions= 13x30x65mm, wall thickness: 2mm Trigger and Sear= 5mm thick. The roller speargun: 1200mm long (end to end) 950mm from the centre of the rollers to the edge of the trigger pocket 50mm wide --------- Traditional speargun, 1200m long 950mm from the edge of the rubber bands hole to the trigger pocket 50mm wide from the but plate to the end of the trigger pocket and tapering down to 40mm at the tip (muzzle) I used Okoume Marine Plywood laminated together with epoxy, but a much better choice will be to use Teak Wood. Thanks for the comment and for watching my videos.

Mauro Baresi ...this is not new, it’s copied, the trigger mechanism has been around for a long time with the safety component, why he sais its new I don’t know , maybe it’s new for him making it in his spearguns.
