They look pretty huge on the ears but after i realized its the 12mm drivers inside which made the bass so awesome I ain't complaining lol. I changed my order of the SP800 to the XB700 after realizing it has superior bass output.

I bought the Sony set and they are superb. The detail in the music is breathtaking and I'm very critical of audio being a musician and I demand high quality. There is no app support. No digital noise cancellation. I'm not worried about digital noiseless and app connection as a phone isn't a very good audio device in the first place. I use them with my Sony NW-A45 Walkman and I'm very, very happy with the excellent audio.

Very clean deep bass and overall sound quality! I work outside in all weather types and these have definitely survived heavy rain! Got two of them for $60/each and would buy more! Edit: I've owned them since release and have had no problems

Great sound quality, great battery life, comfortable fit, great call quality, and clubhouse bass!! I don't use powerbeat anymore and returned Galaxy Buds Pro. Only use xb700 in the gym. XB700 is now main workout earbuds.

Hey Mike I'm a fan of your work. Have been following your channel since long time. I use 1more stylish, Happy with them except battery life. I'm planning to buy a new pair. I'm confused between Galaxy buds+, 1more ANC & these Sony xb-700. My priorities are : 1. Battery life. 2. Music quality. 3. Reliability. 4. Longetivity ( least a couple of years). I'm more inclined towards these because of the IPX4 ratings. Please help. Keep up the good work brother.

I know what you mean about the ogre ears from the front, I do like the side profile doe. And I think the mic sounds amazing, it did a good job of cutting out the environment

Hi Mike, I read something interesting about Sony earbuds with regards to the supposed master/slave connection that they have even though they're advertised to be independent: With the XM3s, if you have Google Assistant or Siri activated to work with them, the earphones will default to master/slave for some reason(usually only the left can work on its own). If you disable your voice assistant, both sides will work independently. Could you try to test if it works the same way for the XB700s as well?

They have also released another set of true wireless buds, with much less buzz surrounding it. Their sequel to their first lesser known true wireless buds the WF-SP800N (before was the WF-SP700N I believe). Basically the WF-1000XM3s are ANC buds that aren't great for fitness and working out but these apparently are. These can use the Sony Headphones App, along with EXTRA BASS (but they have "Digital Noise Cancelling" so you should definitely review to compare that). Would love to see you review those buds and then maybe compare all 3 of Sony's lineup for a best recommendations between them cuz now that I know all of them exist, I'd love to know what's right for me... 🙏

@@aronphilip2782 been 8-9 months and it is still working great. Battery life in one full charge is aroung 8-8.5 hours on full volume. I use it for my office calls on MS-teams and zoom. I also use it to take my personal phone calls and listening to music. One con i realised is after wearing it on for longer hours I feel little discomfort in the ear. I am using the smallest size bud. Otherwise battery life and audio quality is something that I am happy and satisfied with. Cost wise it is expensive in India, I bought it from Amazon for 8000 indian rupees. However, the quality of it is great and am using it now also as am writing this review. Thankyou!

Let's see that comparison video, they only sound just ok for calls to me and I wonder how they compare to the Echo Buds, Galaxy buds plus, AirPods 2 and other buds that are in that $160 and lower price range. Great Video as always.

Nice video. This is something I was looking for few months ago - extra bass. So I sell my sennheisers and buy powerbeats pro. I don't regret it. But this Sony is an easy buy in this price I would say.

Yeah as an earbuds reviewer, I am typically looking for lots of features, but I think Sony cut the features to give fantastic bass at a fantastic price. I think their target market will be very happy with these!

The second dissapointment came when I find out that the case is running out of juice if you don't charge it in couple of days.. I am not saying it wasn't bassy, but powerbeats pro is very suitable for me when I hit the gym or work in louder enviroment.. even when they don't have ANC

Very very nice review! l like it but understand that its a little big for my ears 😞

I lost my Galaxy 9+ and bought the Z Fold 3 and realized I'd need wireless buds so I was in Walmart the day after my Z Fold 3 arrived and went to the Electronics dept to check out their offerings and I lucked out with these WF XB700's they were only $100 bucks and when I paired them I was blown away by the bass and overall sound quality. Don't really care about an app or no wireless charging so these are perfect and speaking of perfect since I mostly use buds while running or working out at the gym these have never, I repeat never fallen out and my workouts are pretty intense so that means lots of sweat and these just stay in my ears. Awesoms buds if your active like me and demand great bass and easy to use controls. Def a 9 out 10 rating (better battery life would make these a 10). Great job Sony!!

I was thinking of getting Sony WF-1000xm3 and now I got no idea 🤣 Its a battle between noise cancelation and bass.

Loving mine. I prefer my XM3 buds though. The lack of Sony Connect compatibility is a let down. The quality of the bass is indeed great though. I like the design, the XM3's could have done better with the same passive NC. It would have pleased the critics of the volume and bass level on those.

I'm pretty sure the little hole beside the buds is the in-ear speaker. And I would like to say that most Sony headphones and earphones do not use the Sony app. Probably due to it not being a top tier product ( a flagship if you will) so they didn't bother on using the app.

It is a real bummer... if they just added an EQ and maybe a find my buds feature, these could easily become my top recommendation! They are still very good and for people who don't care about EQ (probably most people actually)

@@bornaa6029 they are really nice. At first they hurt my ears but I figured out that right angle and now it's nice. When you first use them they will sound a bit different than the normal ear buds which might be weird but you'll get used to them. They can go a pretty far distance and I love the sound. So if you don't want to buy air pods these are with it too. Hope this helps. 🙂

Thank for the review, rly helps me choose my daily tech, I went for the galaxy buds plus because it is more polished and has wireless charging and genuinely a better case and more features, I don't really bother with the bass all I need is some earbuds which sound ok, but the buds do sound good and has wireless charging. OOOO and transparency mode love that

ManyLoler i have both galaxy buds is way better in features and sound is pretty much the same just like the sony has a little more bass, but galaxy buds plus is a steal for $160 and am currently using it with my s10e💯

I dont know why but i can remember those sony names all the time no matter how complex they are Hmm

These are excellent for the price, the left bud works on it's own, no Sony app isn't an issue as lots of media player apps have good eq options so you pretty much have any sound you want from these, add a magnetic charger and everything is sorted!

How do they compare to the Sony XB950BT headset in terms of sound quality and bass?

I'm about to go pick these up they're on sale for like 65 bucks at Best buy right now

You cant listen just to right earplug, I mean only if the left is on and paired too, but to use them as a one-ear handsfree, just the left one will connect. Right one will not connect if the left one is off. Maybe it is a different type in the US, but I doubt it

Nice video. A quick question, Do these have a master slave connection, where you have to use the left bud if you want to use the right. I really like them but i hate the master slave thing.

I stand corrected - they are master/slave. I apologize for that. I was testing as if the right bud would have been the master, but it is the left bud!
