it is a glitch indeed, theres no walking at a tree trunk like that in reality, and dayz is all about that, infection apocalypse survival simulation (not talking about modded servers)

@@DimoMAK There is no animation for climbing BUT the tree is made of objects that allow for u to stand on, its by design... intentional?... maybe not bt in real life u wud be able to figure out a way to climbing it and thats what this is.

I think they should leave it in the game. Would incentivise people to check trees too because people will climb trees in real life too

@doseofdayz it does work on console and ctrl on pc is walking on console. I think you can get higher in that particular tree but I didn't have much time to practice doing so. I'm going to see how far I can get up the tree and see if this "bug" works on other trees and objects.

I have also explored the slow walking and found some new places. For the 20% of the trees that cannot be climbed with slow walking, have you tried a fireplace or backpack below?

Everything depends where you play. If you server where you playing, everyone is sneaking quite then long.

I USE THE SAME FOR ROCKS that are not ment to be climbed WORKS GREAT. Anyone who played RP Oblivion ALWAYS checks for these hacks hahah

Yeah just barely touch the right and left and when you notice him moving up the tree just try to keep your left thumb from moving at all. I managed to get all the way up it tho. Nice little spot

Holding control makes you walk. So on console, all you'd have to do is barely move the stick to make your character walk.

Does this work on console ? I dont know how i should hold control on console.

If I'm not mistaken you can tilt your left stick half way forward and you'll be walking slowly like in the video, I suppose that might work.

How is it an exploit? The reality is the average fit person could climb plenty of trees. It’s an unrealistic game limitation that more trees aren’t climbable.

For example after being killed communicating information about the threat and you body location to friends over chat, or even returning to your body to get loot back or revenge because its clearly a glitch that a dead person can do that...

Third person is not bad but it might get sometimes annoying, since it is a bit easier spot you. I play usually first person but for kill montage I went play there because often see more people.

Walking into tree it is exploit. Second with tower I would consider parkour = safe but it is stretch. If I know someone kill me from tree I would report you either way.

I think you didn’t read other comments? First thing, I don’t need to play something just to prove someone something. Second, I’m anyway always playing 1st person.. even though if I wanted start playing 3 person, then it didn’t change me anything. You can see 3 person gameplay in one of the moments near container, and just because I joined full pop server, so it was faster to gather kills for video, other wise 1 person servers where I usually play, didn’t see anyone for 4 hours in vmc. Ether way, 1 or 3 person doesn’t really matter. It is just preference that’s all.
