Leo is doing the side eye because his eyes are poseable! Shift the bandana side to side and his eyes move! Best implementation of moveable figure eyes imo!

Don’t let that garage go to waste. Sounds like a perfect place for a parody commercial for Flip-Or

These are grail figures for me. I got back into TMNT with this series watching with my son. I would love to see a rerelease.

You guys get any of the Playmates stuff when it was around? I thought that was a great line, only thing is paint apps started suffering eventually but they were literally getting characters onto pegs the week they showed up in episodes for awhile.

@@ioncewasmikey Yes, for all 4. They highly won’t get reissued by Revoltech due to licensing issues. As a result, they will continue to become more rare. However, with a little bit of luck, you may find yourself with good deals and pay a lot less if you look hard enough. I bought revoltech TMNT for about $850 which of course is still a lot for an “action figure” but because they were my ultimate grails, I thought $850 was better than $1200. 😂 On the other hand, If you’re happy just window shopping, that’s great too. The SHFiguarts and NECA TMNT are pretty awesome too for much less. 😁

@Rising_07-k7d You got a deal! Still too pricey for me haha. I liked the 2012 stuff & collected most of the Playmates basic line. It was a lot of fun hunting for all those figures, made me feel like I was a kid again lol. Edit- I've got most of the NECA movie & Mirage stuff. Well, at least this more recent revival of Mirage stuff, not the old pieces unfortunately. I was a kid during the vintage Playmates run & still have everything I got back then- all well-worn & likely missing lots of parts lol.

For the longest time these were my top 2 of all time being beat out by neca the 08 turtles. Now 1 is still neca 08 mirage turtles, 2 mezco and 3 these revoltech turtles. Great set hope you find Michaelangelo.

"I opened them up before, but put them back in the box because...they fit" For some reason that justification made me laugh. Of course they fit in the box you removed them from 😂

I didn't know a lot about the features, especially the ab crunch so thanks for sharing!

I do have a soft spot for the 2012 'turtles. The writing and animation went hand and hand for me. Homage moments and episodes. These do capture the vibe well✌️

Great segment Hatter & would love to see more 'vintage' reviews. These figures do look fantastic with the alternative heads on haha

Great job. The vault is opening for public release 🤯

These were the first cartoon accurate tmnt ever, and with features never seen before too. I got wave 1 (Raph and Mikey) on release, but by the time Leo and Don were going to be released they were already sold out, and quickly increased in price, so I missed on those unfortunately.

The 2012 Battle Shells are pretty accurate to the cartoon, especially for a Playmates release.

@heroesytumbas Could be! I just did a little Googling & TMNTpedia has the Playmates Battle Shells (4.5" classic scale) coming out in 2013 & Revoltech in 2014. I cannot corroborate that information though lol Edit- but they do specifically say that the Revoltech are more accurate than any of the Playmates haha

@@ioncewasmikey You're correct. Battle shells came out almost a year before Revoltech's. However, Raph's color was completely different, and of course those can't change from normal eyes to ninja mode pupil less eyes as in the show.

The 2012 version are my absolute favorite Turtles. I didn’t know these existed, I’ll have to look for them

The 2012 stuff is very cool

I like the idea of your dipping into your "Vault" to show some older pieces that we may not have seen. I haven't bought any figures since 1999, I just like watching the reviews lol

I love these, I bought them from someone in Japan, definitely worth it!

I still have these in storage-seeing how much people are charging for them makes me think I should try to sell them.

The lightbox will only really work if you use the telephoto lens (zoom) so you don't see the sides. But then you're dealing with other issues. I don't recommend it

@@NostalgiaUnboxed I take photos in a lightbox from time to time but it's really hard to make it look like it's just a void if that makes sense. Creases in the backdrop, etc. You're a talented photographer!

@@ioncewasmikey same issue. Or reflections on the backdrop would be distracting. The black board I use now is just a big generic poster board from Walmart. Matte finish helps

Called it! Neca doesn’t know the meaning of to many turtle lines

The bandana moves their eyes just a heads up so u can do the fully white eyes or have them look a certain way

Was there another line similar to these or was there an alternate release in smaller boxes? I thought I'd seen these at Barnes & Noble back in the day but the boxes weren't that big. I've got the bulk of the 2012 Playmates line still sealed but never got these.

These must have bean top-notch in their time but not very appealing in todays Action Figure environment. They are very unique tho so I'd say a definite TMNT collectible. The price value is subjective so lets get nutz!!! "ONE MILLION DOLLARS" 😳

The mezco figs are just ok, not worth 3x neca!

The aftermarket cost is not worth it. Its ridiculous.

I LOVE it everyone always gets the Turtle saying Wrong their Brothers "NOPE" they're Not even the same Species turtle how could they be Brothers then, understood they were in a Fishbowl together so that's how or the comic say's there Brothers, yeah in a way but Not even close, still NO as Raphael would have killed the other 3 turtles FACT! the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are as species Raphael is a snapping turtle, Michelangelo is a box turtle, Donatello is a softshell turtle, and Leonardo is a red-eared slider but yet their Brothers 😂🤣😂🤣more like Inmates
