I'm so happy to share this project with you. I finally found the kind of brick I've been scouring Facebook Marketplace for. So I'm going to attempt to lay brick paths in my knot garden. MAJOR labor involved. Thank you Birch Living for sponsoring! Junior has joie de vivre. Junior is disheveled. But in the most glorious, mismatched childlike way that is so heartwarming. He’s like the boy version of Pippi Longstocking, my childhood heroine. I wish every kid could be so free.

.. and this is how an unstoppable cheerful work ethic is instilled in a child. Chin up, nail the obstacles in their place and push through til you've won!☺️👍❤️. I remember pushing a wheel barrow full of wet manure through soggy muck with our little horse loving daughter in tow and laughing together at such an impossible never ending chore. I told her only crazy people love horses THIS much...we're so glad to be crazy☺️

Another “AMAZING JOB”…I have never seen a sod cutter like that…I like it…your garden is looking so BEAUTIFUL…I love how you drew out your plans on how you want your garden to look and your little helpers are so cute…the roses are so full looking and gorgeous…making a garden is hard work for sure and a never ending job for sure, but the out come is so worth it…the bricks are beautiful and love the coloring of them…I also had repurposed our bricks when we tore down the chimney to our house…it was of no use anymore and I didn’t want to throw them away…it’s hard work, but I love it…I’ve gathered large stones for my flower beds from different places which my kids thought I was crazy…but living in the village I had to…I just love working outside and enjoy my flower beds of what I got…it’s small but keeps me busy… The front of our house there’s a little hill, but steep enough I have a hard time now mowing it…I mow from the top as far down as I can then from the bottom across 3 rows and then LOL weed hack the rest…I’ve been really thinking about planting some perennials on the hill to lessen the mowing…it’s just now to convince my hubby to let me…but hopefully he will…again THANK YOU for bringing us along on your projects ❤❤❤

I love brick meandering paths... but so glad you put the stones back around the pond for that natural feel. That sod cutter looked like more work than a regular shovel!!!! The pink roses are spectacular. When you said you were putting the drone up, I thought..... will anyone ever look at the path from the air? Its how it looks and feels at garden level that matters.

Lovely garden Angela! My hubby has made ponds in each of our homes backyards. To keep the water clean, we have a small pump with a homemade filter that hubby made and it is hiding behind a gorgeous Ligularia plant! And he puts many oxygenating plants in it so that helps to keep it clean. And we have a few beautiful koi and a few goldfish in our pond to eat the mosquito larvae! And yes we move the fish into our garage in the winter!

Angela, you're my kind of gal!❤️ What beautiful bricks, and yes, that manual sod cutting contraption looks like a right proper torture device!😳 😏I've done a few workouts like that myself. 😂 Right now I'm working on a stone path using concrete bricks I made from chip and dip trays - that's the serpentine edging. But instead of removing the sid, this time I killed the grass with cardboard and mulch. When everything is laid, then I'm going to use DG in the cracks and plant wooly thyme. I wish I had such great helpers.☺️❤️

Sent them to high school and life picked up cuz all of a sudden life became a get them out the door to school, do sports, do a meal together if you can, do homework, go to bed, and do it again. Makes you appreciative of the homeschool pace.

When my sis died, her son went to the beach with their dog like they did every Sunday. A dragonfly lit on his guitar as he played away for hours. My sister's fave thing was dragonflies and we all say hundreds of them when she passed. We all know it was her saying hi, so who is visiting you all? That was lots of hard, hard work. I still loved the stone around the pond, maybe you are adding it back in.
