KA-BAR 5300 GUNNY
Designed yb R. Lee Ermey, or better known as "Gunny", the Gunny Knife from Kabar is a full-sized fixed blade survival knife that has the build and design to be a great one-tool option. The full-tang blade is made from 1095 Cro-Van steel, and has a bolted on Webb wood handle with contours that promote a comfortable grip with no slipping.
KA-BAR BK18 HARPOON
Ethan founded Becker Knife & Tool Co. in the early 1980s and set about designing, manufacturing and selling the industrial-strength tactical and survival knives that he had always wanted for himself. His products, the BK&T line, have gone a long way to making these now popular all-black knives in demand.
The Ka-Bar Becker Harpoon is a compact tactical knife designed for hard and long use. It's an excellent companion for any woodsman, survivalist, bushcrafter, soldier, or scout. The harpoon blade has a deep belly for effective slicing cuts, and a reinforced tip for wicked penetration.

I prefer the standard issue, plain Jane KA-BAR. That said, I’d still be proud to own a “Gunny Approved” Model. R. Lee Ermey, may he Rest In Peace.

It is way thicker and stronger than the standard issue kabar, and it is a true full tang rather than a flimsy rat-tail tang.

Please Read your local legislation for carry laws as we are not able to comment on or share our opinion to knife carrying, due to the difference across Australia and the massive grey areas incorporated. the below link may help. www.police.qld.gov.au/weapon-licensing/law-and-weapons

I have just one word to describe the gunny, overpriced. A hell of a lot of big blades cheaper than the gunny & will easily out chop & split it. Esee junglas BK9 BK21 SP53 Much tougher blade geometry on all of those as well, the gunny is nice but there's no way it's worth the price tag.
