I agree as well. He is only apologizing because he realizes his career is on the line. He is a very selfish person and it is very obvious if you watch his streams and see how he interacts with others. These videos confirms that he is full of shit when he can't even keep direct eye contact with the camera and show general disappointment with himself, accept responsibility and identify how steps he will take going forward to change. You can change being a asshole, being inconsiderate and what not but that change comes with actions and self help. I saw this years ago when I watched a stream once and quickly decided I have no desire in supporting him or his content. Pyro or whatever he wants to call himself has no desire to change.

Yeah, Xeno makes the right call here. I am an older dude, I have high functioning autism and ADHD and I lived with it for 20 years before it became the cool crutch that I see every streamer offering up for explaining why they act like a tw&t. I had to learn how to live with it and navigate around it. As Xeno says, everyone has RL issues and doing dumb things and when you get burned for it falling back on the “it’s not me it’s my mental issue, don’t hate me, respect me for valiantly streaming with this condition” GTFO of here. My son has the same issues as me and since day 1 I’ve taught him that his conditions and challenges are never an excuse, never a get out of jail free card. It can be a blessing, it can be a challenge, but it’s never an excuse for acting up. Learn to live with it and don’t make it the worlds problem.

I feel this, and even I'm still learning to properly function as a "normal" person and navigate around my mental related issues and even using it properly to my advantage via I May see how to solve a problem in a more efficient manner than others, etc. It is a spectrum, some cope with it easier than others, but there's a time when ya gotta say: "I'm tired of this bs." and take that leap of faith TRYING to get better then Learning by talking with family & professionals to help get you on the right track. People shouldn't go at it alone imo(that's part of the reason why it gets worse, or loops back on itself and may be the reason why Pyro loops through the same issues nonstop. Just an assumption based off of what I've seen since he joined the XIV Streaming/Content Creation sphere. Also I'm not tryna make excuses for him either, just an observation).

In a sense, where you fall on the spectrum or the flavour of ADHD you have can give you a real advantage that non neurodivergent people just don’t have. On the flip side though it has real weaknesses too. To be successful, like everything else in life, you need to capitalize on your strengths and compensate for your weaknesses.

At a certain point, you have to question whether anything he says is genuine. Frequent apologies aren't sincere. He does this way too frequently It's like, if a person apologizes to you five separate times for shooting you in the foot five separate times, do you think the sixth is going to be any more genuine? I'm sure he meant it the last five times, but he's probably going to shoot you in the foot again. (Just like Activision-Blizzard! But that's a whole 'nother can of worms.)

They're just trendy things to do when you make a fucky wucky, and try to snake people into continuing to watch them because they realize that it's actually not them keeping the channel alive, it is the viewers like xeno said himself. I agree, to be quite frank nobody gives a fuck about his mental state. Your mental state is your own to deal with and sometimes it can be hard, but that doesnt mean you drum up drama every few weeks. You have maybe a slip and fall where you hurt someone maybe once every couple of years by saying something stupid or getting angry. That's life and as long as you interface with people eventually you'll piss someone off or hurt someone when you dont mean to. I dont buy his half assed apology. Not once did he actually address what he said to the viewers and why it was a horrendous take, this is damage control pure and simple. Kept skirting the issue. Saying something stupid or getting angry isnt 'you mean nothing to me if you dont give me money' that's a core money grubbing personality thing. That's hard baked, that's not something you say on accident unless you genuinely think or have thought that at some point. This is not the first time either, this is one in a multitude of meltdowns. He needs someone as a community manager to control his online profiles and proofread what he's going to say before he hits post. But again, this isnt on anyone but him that he cant control himself from saying stupid shit. You can tell that he didnt actually mean this apology by the way that he never actually apologised for anything concrete. His response to people feeling hurt that he said viewers that arent subbed or have turbo and have adblock can get out was 'you're valued'. That's not an apology, that's a weak ass attempt at garnering sympathy and trying to make people feel special to ignore the fact that he said they can leave if they cant or wont give him money.

Yeah there were times when he fixated on something innocuous from chat and got worked up. That was the first time I truly understood the feeling of cringe. It weirded me out and I had to leave. And that's not even counting the 5-10 minute notebook breaks. It's one thing if you have a spontaneous idea for a video or some theory and you wanna write it down so you don't forget. But it got to the point where it felt like he was just transcribing the entirety of the cutscene dialogue. I can brush the notebook time aside as his own personal preference and I'm not gonna say that was wrong since everybody should be able to enjoy the MSQ as they see fit (as long as it wasn't a legitimate stall tactic to stretch viewership). But the negativity, attitude, and backpedaling on his actions have been excused enough times and I can't listen to anything he says as genuine.

What he said about AdBlock is not technically correct. The impact is not direct. AdBlock does not block the ad on the server, but on the client. For the server the ad is running, you just dont see it. So the problem "for them" with ad block is the "conversion" is lower, which is not even a concern to the content creator OR the platform. It is a concern to those who pay for the ads. It is a concern to whomever sees paying for lots of ads and not selling stuff. It is even not possible to the server to know exactly if you running adblock unless they ask for a feedback, which you CAN GIVE if you know how. I have been running ad block for years, and even websites which have that script to block if you have ad block I bypass using the very own adblock for that. The content creator is even better off with adblock, because me, I see the content without ads, the content creator get engagement and subs, and the only one wrecked is the company paying for the ads. That is why KZread, Twitch, or whatever, do not activelly block the adblock. They just offer "ad feee subs" because "why not ?".

That's utter bull right there . His struggle being real , i'm not even debating over this , i'd rather 100 believe it's true .. but it's irrelevant , and just a factor , not the real cause . He was being mean toward people and let his true thoughts go through . just assume them and that you have shit takes and moments , like anybody else . Don't give us that malarkey about not being what you said or wanted to say . I'm tired of him , if you apologize ... it gotta be for something you actually did and know you did .... you ain't supposed to double dip and both somehow mean it , but not really . All he had to do was apologize for being a dumbass and being wrong but instead he apologizes for basically nothing and does half an hour rant about how his mental health is effecting him. Take it however you want but i think this is the problem with being way too emotionally attached to things, he apologizes for the emotions he 'may have caused' to people, but never apologizing for the mistake he did, Apologizing for the mistake is a true apology, apologizing for emotions is just a way to shift the blame.

It's always funny when people say this about this MMO specifically. Final Fantasy is about big moments, all the old games are constantly moving the story forward, you don't have to stop and do chores every town you visit. I feel like it's a fair critique (especially in Shadowbringers) to say they need to cut down on the "We have to do chores again?!" type quests this many expansions in. When the in game characters start joking about constantly doing chores, it gets even more unbearable, in my opinion.

Also, nothing pisses me off more than someone falling back on “I have mental health issues and that’s why I’m an asshole sometimes.” It shows that he doesn’t try to improve himself at all and it undermines the struggles of people who really try as hard as possible to avoid letting their mental health issues define them. He needs to get off the internet and actually try to work on himself. I got really mad at the fan fest but too, how is that important? Why would you even be going when you clearly have far more important things to worry about? How stupid can you be?

I just kinda thought "oh, no big deal, someone had an epic gamer moment, these things happen, live and let live, it's okay." And then it happened again, met with incoherent mumbling. And then again, with silence, and then *again.* And every time the videos are exactly the same thing, almost verbatim, of an apology. It's meaningless. None of this means anything if you keep having to apologize for the same thing. Then that whole business with ad banners serving up malware happened and the adblock went on for every site, forever. Even if I like the content creator, the ad servers have lost my trust. I will say, not a therapist by any extent XD so bare with me. I remember Pyromancer essentially being the argumentative lore man in WoW, and he tells stories bout how he constantly has to defend his positions on lore that in the end he was correct about. So I see him acting like this stemming from that, essentially arguing with chat about WoW lore, arguing with content creators who think it's wrong. And now that he's sorta starting at square 1 with the FFXIV community, he isn't used to the non hostile environment, the people who aren't necessarily interested in Lore and are interested in him instead. And with that in mind, let's be a lil honest. The story is so Transparent how exactly can he make content on Speculation? WoWs story was all about the UnKoWn, the Hidden Mysteries, Cliffhangers and all that. If he can't be the lore man, just gotta put yourself out there.

Nobody can trust him to control himself and his attitude so all his apologies are watered down and pointless.
