Thanks for being here buddy super excited about this one. The up coming content with this one should be pretty damn cool as we plan to do everything thing in house where possible. It's going to be a real labour of love.

Was it originally a lesser spec model? Only reason I ask is because the GTI-16v's in that colour were a 1 of 500 limited edition with half leather and are worth a pretty penny nowadays. Really nice cars as i used to own one with a 1.8 VVC on solid cams, lightened and cage added. Also had turreted rear suspension and shocks added, with individualised Hydragas. But with the prices nowadays I wish I'd kept it standard and in storage. Someone has done a properly good job on that car. And that is probably one of the cleanest examples I've seen in a long time. The original Hydragas suspension is ok until you start adding power. Although the Rover Sport units were a bit better. Proper turrets and coilovers was always the way to go like this one though. I didn't know the GTi in that colour was rare..... However this is not an GTi shell it's from a lesser model with super low miles and pretty much ideal for me and I don't want the sunroof. Thanks for subbing , be sure the watch the othr videos with this car. Theirs one were we work on the bodywork and another one were we track it. Awesome little car and built so so so well.

I have a 95% similar car to this guys, same running gear, but am doing an external backdate to look like my old ref MK1 Metro Turbo. It is hilarious to drive!!!

I was sad at first but remembered it was all just a dream from another life, with nut and bolt knowledge dont really need another, make sure to show it off at pride of Longbridge etc.

Pretty certain it will be their now we've finished the bodywork.... Wonderful car. It's absolutely being cherished and we will keep it forever.

Gets loads of offers on this all the time .... We still have it and it's near perfect now. Have a look at the video when we detailed it properly. Bloody beautiful thing. Doubt I'll sell it tbh it's too cool.

@@topwrapzltd I had one for 13 years but it still had the hydrogas suspension which let the handling down. Yours looks very clean, got a good buy. Enjoy 👍

@@philkeegan9449 thanks buddy, such a special little car that i was NEVER meant to fall in love with so much, it was just abit of a cool project car that i know cant let go of! The drive with the coilovers is frankly bonkers! like go kart!
