Hello!! This vlog covers a lot of what I do running a small art business. In this video I open some fun art mail, work on tufting some tiger rugs, paint in my studio, pack patreon orders, and make some hard decisions regarding my art business :-) Hope you enjoy this one!! It's been a few months since I made a vlog and I really missed it :,) Vlogs are definitely my favorite type of video to make, so let me know if you enjoyed this one! 💗
P.S. I meant to address this in my vlog, but I forgot. You may have noticed that all of my replies to all your lovely comments have disappeared :,( I found out I was losing access to the email connected to my KZread account (a University email), so in the process of transferring ownership, KZread deleted all of my replies. I knew this was a risk, and it had to happen so I wouldn't lose access to my account, but it's still so sad! Just wanted to address this in case you were wondering. Thank you for all the sweet comments as always.

me too!! I tend to not really wear this much color, especially purple, but making this sweater really made me rethink my wardrobe color palette haha.
the sweater is SO CUTE!! it looks so soft and comfy, you should be proud of it! also so excited for the heron sticker hehe, and i love the print version as well 👀

Carpet collars and hems for winter coats may be an alternative that requires less time
Oh gosh I love that sketchbook painting. And I totally feel you with the second job. I do dog walking a couple days a week to have some more stable income (albeit low income) and to keep my body moving. No shame in a second job! But on the side of learning, I feel like this is the perfect time! I’m seeing so many artists learning new skills lately, including myself and being as it’s still winter, it’s the perfect past time. Can’t wait to see what you make this year! And hopefully in Sept I’ll see you at a market while I visit my grandpa in SLC 😊

Oh that's so funny I actually did some dog walking last year and I loved it!! I feel like it's such a good flexible side gig for artists, especially since we're stuck hunched over our desks so often haha. Oh fun!! Feel free to reach out if you need any SLC recommendations when the time comes :-)

Oh the rugs take so much time and you offer them at such an afforable price?? No wonder it would burn you out T_T I'm glad you're doing better now that's the most important thing!

yess I really want them to be affordable for people but it's such a hard balance :,) people really don't expect them to take that many hours so it's sometimes hard to justify it. Now that I know exactly how long it takes, I'll probably raise my prices just a little for this next drop! thank you, I really am feeling a lot better!

Hey Bri! May I ask what paper finish you got for your prints? I use Cat Print for my business cards and I make my own prints but I have some pretty major markets/expos/cons this year and I don’t think I’ll be able to keep up with demand anymore. And I’ve not been sure about which finish to get and yours look great!

of course!! I use the Heavy Card Stock - Satin option :-) I believe that was the one Megan Wang recommended on her Patreon a while back so that's just what I went with and I'm super happy with them! You can also get a free sample of all their papers too which I found helpful, I might try some of the other ones that I liked from the samples. Good luck at the markets!!
