All it needs is a manual and it is about peak drivers car, maybe a little less weight too, but other than those 2 things, one of which could change in the future, it is as close to a perfect drivers car as any other car, including lotus. The only issue with Lotus’s is their engines, they sound good, but lack the character of the engine in the gt3/gt4 rs.

@@janneshildebrandt1 Wouldn't say it's too fast for a manual, as the GMA T.50 with better performance figures have a manual and a GT3 with similar performance figures offers a manual as well. But I guess it's Porsche's policy of offering PDK as the sole option for the RS models nowadays. Weight wise this is peak or almost peak sports car territory.

I have always been a manual fan except when I was induced by the dealer to buy a BMW 3.0SA instead of 3.0Si (described by Jack Brabham as the best 4 door car in the world). But things evolve and the PDK on the GT4RS comes straight from the GT3RS. It rips through the 7 gears in a way no manual driver could emulate. The theatre of the GT3 engine and the PDK together with the induction noise will be a defining aspect of this car. Time for a rethink about manuals perhaps.

No criticisms? Ok, let me give you a few things that could be worth considering: 1. Is it too stiff/low for a daily driver? 2. Do the carbon buckets give you back ache? 3. Do the tires need replacing every other track day? 4. Did someone spec this without A/C? 5. Does it overheat on track? (Not in England, ofc😅) 6. Do I need to upgrade pads and fluid for a track day? 7. How many of these is Porsche selling? And are they only going to “preferred buyers?” 8. What are the “options” that should be standard on a car with this price tag? 9. Does the engine drone at highway speeds? How bad is it? Food for thought, Adam.

A lesser car (too much of one dimension) than the standard GT4 and specially the 981 GT4 (a harder GT4 than the softer 982...sorry Porsche 718 is fantasy). I don't care how faster it maybe: it wins on the track and as a track toy, hands down and I could not care less but for a cross country / continent trip? Not a chance. No manual (as per RS tradition) is still a big let down regardless of whatever tradition Porsche may have.
