Heck, get a Cayman GT4, swap the gears and, for the road, you're 95% of the way there. You'd notice on track, sure, but not daily.

@@benkrapf I wouldn't even be bother to do the swap. GT4 RS is what I believe non-existent lol. A couple of my friends who have put deposit down for the GT4 RS 2 years ago just got an email saying they won't get theirs and they will be refunding their deposits. I went with a Cayman GTS 4.0 order, and hopefully to see delivery summer next year. As much as I want a "RS", I have to be honestly with myself - how often am I going to take it to a track and push that hard.

the new gt3rs is probably the greatest car built in the last 25 years. the downforce is absolutely mind boggling. it just sticks to the ground and goes.

at 225 mph the downfoce would be equal to the weight of the car............ lol. i want to see a 1500hp 911 turbo kitted out in the gt3rs aero package do some 1 mile runway pulls.

It's great to see Rory back at Top Gear Test Track. Btw, the new 992 GT3 RS is insane. Imagine what Porsche can do with 992.2.

@@donndee3587 Looking at the timeline, Porsche always tend to release the x.2 update about four or five years later. With the 992 shape launched in 2019, we might be seeing the 992.2 at least next year.

Rory is the absolute greatest reviewer I’ve ever heard! A lot of his reviews are so good they could make you emotional as a car enthusiast. Literally. Bravo Rory! And the camera work is bananas as well!

Love the videos, presentation and cinematography are really great. But how Rory just makes it feel like we are actually experiencing it with him and how you can see the joy in his face riding this beast. Love it!

This is how I wish all the other youtubers did auto reviews. Straight, to the point and genuine. Really great job!

What a car. I can't wait until mine arrives, I'm honestly giddy with excitement just thinking about it. Just have to win the lottery first then it's off to the dealership I go.

@@Realtalk961 4 year wait won’t get you a GT3 r/s ! I could buy one tomorrow but they won’t sell me one..Only a couple of handful of people in the country will get one as not every dealer is allocated one and for very very special customers only

They had a grown ass auto journalist clapping hands after the driving like he’s in a hibachi restaurant. This car is special

This porshe, the bmw M5CS will definitely go down as some of the greatest engineered cars of this era. Amazing

It’s mad isn’t it? A £350k Lamborghini or Ferrari has none of the allure of this engineering classic. Porsche always seem to be a step ahead.

@@barfuss2007 I’ll add… or a guy who wants to bring out the best in his driving abilities. A Porsche can bring out the best in a driver and very few cars can use that as their mantra. It reminds me of back in the day of the fire breathing sport bikes. I used to ride a ninja zx-10 back in 2004. I bought it new in 2004 and it was a monster. My friends had Honda cbr liter bikes which were much easier to ride, handle, and gave you confidence. I wanted the lightest bike with the most horsepower that could handle a curve like no other. A 720S looks and “sounds” great on paper but in reality a 992S turbo in the hands of most drivers will take the 720S to school

Rory this is the best GT3 RS video by far!! Those heat fumes from the bonnet when you hit the breaks! The beast is alive!

This is what it's all about. When a car can make you feel like a little kid all over again, mission complete! Wow, I dream to experience this one day

Get it Rory, you keep doing what you're doing, that's bringing smiles and entertainment to car fans. Once again, Rory knows how to review supercars. Just realize this is the Top Gear test track.

@Chingchong Who cares about the additional performance? Also you're wrong anyway. The 992 GT3 RS is faster around the Nordschleife than the 991 GT2 RS and is infinitely more exciting even if it were slower. I know I'm comparing across generations here but I'm comparing a 700 hp car to a 525 hp car that is still faster so I guess that can be disregarded.

The ceramic brakes don't make you stop any faster, they just dissipate heat better. Braking distance is entirely based on tires for any car with brakes strong enough to wheel lock.

actually the downforce on the Senna is 800KG rated at 250KPH, the GT3RS generates the same downforce at its top speed of 285 KPH

I have to say the 997 GT3 RS is my favorite, but from driving the 992 GT3 RS on the simulator (assetto corsa) for about a month now, it's exactly what they say it is, Porsche always find away to out do themselves, I agree the 992 GT3 RS is the best car ever. I want one 👍🏾💯

Didn't really get the new GT3RS, thought the additional aero and cutaways were tacky. Saw one in person just yesterday. I'm completely sold now, it's a masterpiece.

This only has 500hp because Porsche knows there is a celling for usable power, Porsche is just the best! I love Ferraris and Lamborghinis but let's be honest, if Porsche has close to a perfect mix of a great sports car those brands just add more desirability to the mix 🧐💕

The only thing I wish it had… was a manual. Other than that, it’s absolutely incredible. The last car with that kind of track performance was the Dodge Viper ACR-E, which went out of production 5 years ago.
